This is the Lower Harbor ore dock in Marquette, Michigan. It was built in 1931 for loading freighters with iron mined from the area. It is no longer in use, but is near shore. Visitors (like me) photograph this structure, which is 1250 feet (381 meters) in length. A link to Michigan history. My photo taken July 2026.

Dinosaurs on display at Dow Gardens in Michigan. They're animatronic and blink their eyes and move a little, along with a nearby speaker that roars to match the movements. Even as an adult, I think it's cool! I visited recently.

Love potato? Lol! Peeling potatoes for dinner this week, and found this little heart-shaped one. It made my family chuckle!
