Monday Adventure Time

These are just some of my favorites. 

I, Melissa Poole-Beach, got married on September 12th, 2015 in beautiful Greer, AZ. It was everything I wanted it to be, in that it was a magical, fairy land. There are so so many aspects of Arizona that aren’t just a fucking racist, arid desert wasteland and that is the whole point of this blog. I think we’ve showed that the desert can be gorgeous, but if you drive 5 hours in ANY direction, you’ll find something else magical. Alexis, my soul, directed the ceremony as my officiant and she was AMAZING. Words cannot express how amazing.  

Welp. We started this off on a Monday because it’s the best day, dammit. It was crazy, emotional, amazing, and right now I want nothing more than to be back there with my favorite people in the universe. I can’t say a lot, I don’t want to say a lot because there are some things that are sacred... but here’s some pictures because why not?

This is more of the wedding stuff that we made. When we were actually making it. It was hard. We are geniuses. Why are we still at a restaurant?

So yeah. This is the end product at the wedding. We worked fucking hard and deserve an award. I’d like mine now please. In the form of money, lots of money. I’m not picky. 1s, 5s... I prefer 100s if someone is asking... Please and thank you. 

So.. a majority of the reason that there wasn’t a lot of adventuring going on during these past few months was because I (Melissa) went and decided to get hitched. For insurance purposes, let me assure you. “What’s love got to do with it?” Just kidding. Anyway, a majority of the Mondays, the only day we both have off together, was spent trying to make things for the wedding. They came out pretty fucking amazing, by the way. We made almost EVERYTHING. i.e. the Invitations, the decorations, we sewed together the dress (hahahahaha lieesssss).  They were beautiful and thank you to my beautiful best friend for helping me through it all. 

Melissa’s 23rd birthday, coincidentally a Monday (Thank you to the FATES). I made everyone that kind of likes me do my favorite things. So... that’s eat at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Phoenix (the closest one is 85 minutes away), GAMBLE (I have an addiction to slots) at Talking Stick Casino, come back to Tucson and have Sangria at Carrabas, and then FINALLY have Margaritas at Blacos. It was a full, fun, amazing day. So thank you to all who love me <3

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve last blogged. So much has happened in the world and in our lives. The adventures haven’t stopped though! Our blogging skills just sucked for a long, long time. So a mass upload will be in affect. Sorry, all of our like 10 followers, if this is super annoying but it’ll actually be really fun and liberating for us to relive these past months and see that we actually did accomplish some things. So yay! Enjoy!!!!

It was a rainy day in certain parts of Tucson (it never rains everywhere at once, you can just drive for 15 minutes and escape any storm here) & we decided we needed to see if the saguaros were blooming again. Well it isn’t time, but still lovely out so we enjoyed the day and ended with getting our nails done which is one of our favorite pastimes. 

Not technically a Monday, but sure was an adventure.

We ventured to Ted DeGrazia’s Gallery in the Sun. Being from Tucson we were surrounded by Degrazia’s work as we were growing up. Both of us always thought his work was limited to the colorful pieces mostly composed of native americans, but never have we been more wrong. This gallery has a vast collection of his work and a huge variety of all the mediums he utilized, as well as his various subject matters. To our surprise the gallery was free to view only accepting donations. Mastery like this is special, I would recommend anyone visiting Tucson to check out this gallery.
