The only question he had now ( other than WHY, why would they allow such a thing to happen ) it was what they told to Shireen about her cousin sudden disappearance. The princess had been his friend, along with the smuggler’s son, and there wasn’t a day Edric didn’t miss their company. At least he wasn’t alone anymore; the boy looked nothing like him, golden haired while Edric’s hair were as dark as a moonless night, emerald eyes instead of the blue eyes every Baratheon had, delicate features in contrast to Edric’s square jaw. He knew the truth, heard it so many times from both his uncles ever since the war started — the other was a lion, a BASTARD himself despite bearing the name of one of the great houses. Yet it was impossible not to consider him a brother, despite the fact that they shared not even a drop of blood.   « Don’t you wish to go back? »

the young lion bowed his head at the question. he had known that it was only fair that the question he had proposed was going to be have met with an equal, but that still did not mean that he was prepared for it.  ❛  king’s landing was all i ever truly knew.  ❜ he confessed lowly. he was born a prince, the youngest of three, and he had been the most DELICATE of them all. whether if it was because he was shaped that way or it was simply in his nature, tommen was unsure. he had been raised in the red keep and had barely ever ventured further then the garden walls unless it came to matters that forced him elsewhere, yet it was never ALONE. ❛  --- but i do not wish to return.  ❜ king’s landing was no longer home and he knew that if he returned that it wound quickly become a tomb. how he had even survived long enough to make it to lys was a miracle in itself. ❛ there is nothing left for me to return to there. ser pounce is even gone. as well as boots and lady whiskers... ❜ he was supposed it was silly, to be so saddened after thinking about his lost cats at a time like that. afterall, he had lost GREATER things. a crown, a family, and kingdom. even his name was taken away from him. yet, what his heart missed was a cat. it was childish. a part of him that seemingly hadn’t been lost in the turmoil since he was thrown off his throne. ❛  i suppose it is better to be unwanted here, then wanted dead back in the capital.  ❜
