So a few days ago we were informed of a local girl searching for an adoptive family for her still in the oven little one. We’ve submitted all our information and are now waiting it out. I’m not known for my patience so I’ve been trying to fill my days with distractions. Including some Christmas DIY gifts.

First up: Coffee mugs for the grandparents! My friend Dani and I made hot cocoa packs and stuck them in hand painted, personalized mugs for her coworkers about a week ago. It was so much fun, I instantly knew I wanted to do this for the grandparents!

So here’s what you need: Mug - lighter colors work better for your background Art Deco Glass Paint Markers - you can also use paint by the same manufacturer, but I was keeping it easy! Oven

And that’s it! I found mugs at the Dollar Tree and the glass markers at Michael’s. I had read some other blogs calling oil based paint markers, but those were strictly hand wash. The Art Deco Glass Paint Markers are supposedly dishwasher safe, but I’ve yet to test that for myself.

So grab your mug, markers and creativity! If my son were old enough, I would have had him draw or scribble on the mugs, but I imagine I would be scrubbing my walls and table down frantically at his current age so… I did the dirty work myself! We have a Nana and a Pops. I wanted to write a little something about my son’s favorite activities to do with each grandparent. Like “Finn loves taking walks with Nana,” but I couldn’t come up with something along those lines for each grandparent. So I went with cutesy quotes instead.

Ok... I've already written this blog once and through the process of previewing, it was lost. So this is a recreation, but I assure you the first written was eloquent and witty and flowed effortlessly from my fingertips. Take two... I used to blog. Back in the day. WAY back. Before it was cool. Since then I've moved from Ohio to Florida, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Iowa, back to Florida, California, Ohio again, and finally back to Florida for good. I've married. And divorced. I've lost my way. And found it again! Been in a probably-should-have-been-fatal car accident. I've saved whales. I've remarried... And this time I really mean it! I've given birth to the worlds most beautiful baby boy. I've had 3 miscarriages. Gained weight. Lost weight. Repeated that cycle several times. But now I'm losing it PERMANENTLY (Thank you, AdvoCare... But more on that later)! And the hubs and I are in the process of adopting a baby! So that's my boring life! And like many stay at home moms, I need an outlet... And there are no decent outlet malls around. Ba dum bum! How is this blog different than any other crazed Mommy blog? Honestly, I have no idea. But I'll be sharing my wild mans crazy antics, weight loss journey, recipes, adoption stuff, hopefully some DIY projects, and whatever else life throws at me. And I hope that you can relate to at least some of that. Thanks for reading!
