On this day we remember the bombardment of Rotterdam in 1940 WOII. In less than 15 minutes the whole historic center of the city was destroyed. More than 700 people died and 80.000 people became homeless. After the brutal attack The Netherlands surrendered to Germany…And was freed in 1945. Rotterdam rised again in the now so characteristic modern form..
