Finally, after a year and a half, the last chapter and epilogue! This story needed, and deserved, its ending. It has been sitting in my WIP folder, waiting on me to write the epilogue. Thank you to the most wonderful commenter on AO3 for giving me the inspiration to finish this. ๐
The castle loomed before them with its spiraling towers reaching into the sky like frozen waves of stone. The familiarity pulled at Arisu, drawing her closer to it with each step, each breath, and each heartbeat. But this was not the Red Castle she once knew. It was now a warped and corrupted place, twisted by Kisakiโs control, its walls bleeding with wrongness.
The trio slipped through the grand halls like ghosts of whispers, the scent of roses and rusted iron hanging in the air. The Red Queenโs domain was now built on a foundation of fear, revealed in the shadows that lurked in every corridor, in the way the guards patrolled with vacant eyes, more like puppets than men.
Arisu, Baji, and Takemichi moved quickly, guided by the slinking, ever-grinning Hanma, who led them through the labyrinth of corridors. The Cheshire Cat had become their unexpected ally, though Arisu had long since given up trying to understand his true motives. He appeared when it amused him, disappeared when it suited him, and now, for reasons known only to himself, chose to aid them.
As they reached the grand throne room, Hanma paused at the massively imposing doors before them. His grin widened and his eyes shimmered with amusement. โNow, this is where the real fun begins.โ
Arisuโs eyes narrowed in suspicion. โWhy are you helping us?โ
Hanma leaned in conspiratorially, his voice dropping to a serious whisper. โI donโt like it when someone messes with the game itself. And Kisakiโs been stacking the deck in his favor for far too long.โ
Arisu's lips parted and she drew in a breath with more questions on the tip of her tongue. But before she could utter another word, Hanma was gone, dissolved into the shadows like a wisp of smoke.
Baji scoffed. โCreepy bastard.โ Then, without another word, he pushed the doors open.

The Red Queenโs throne room was a sea of red velvet and gold trim, everything gilded and extravagant, as if trying to overcompensate for the hollow rot at its core. At the center of it all, upon her grand throne, sat Queen Emma.
Her calm expression was only a shallow faรงade, her true heart buried beneath layers of artificiality. Her golden hair pinned into an elaborate crown of braids and her gown draping her in waves of crimson silk gave the appearance of a true Queen, but her eyes were not her own. Hesitation lay just beneath the surface, and Kisakiโs shadow circled around her like a vulture.
He stood at her side, poised like a snake coiled around a golden chalice, his smirk as sharp as ever. Kisaki was in full control of this stage, and he knew it.
โArisu,โ he said smoothly, as if greeting an old friend. โYouโve come back at last. Though I must say, it would be much easier if you had just stayed gone.โ
Arisuโs fists clenched, but before she could tell him off, Emma spoke.
โYou shouldnโt be here, Arisu.โ Her voice wavered, the hollow steadiness cracking almost imperceptibly. โWonderland has no place for you anymore.โ
Arisu's heart pounded as she stepped forward. โWonderland is mine as much as it is yours,โ she replied, desperate to reach the uncorrupted corners of the Queen's mind. โYou know that, Emma.โ
For a fraction of a moment, barely a blink of the eye, Emmaโs expression cracked. But Kisakiโs fingers twitched and the doubt vanished from her eyes as if it had never been there. โSeize them,โ he ordered coolly.
Takemichi's eyes darted from the guards to Arisu, wringing his hands as the guards closed in around them. How was one little white rabbit supposed to protect the White Queen? Nevertheless, he stood his ground and shielded Arisu behind him.
Baji, though, wasn't going to let anyone lay a finger on her. A fierce grin spread across his face as he gauged the number and positions of his mindless opponents. He could take them all down without even breaking a sweat.
His eyes remaining on the guardsmen, he reached up and removed his hat, placing it in Arisu's hands. And in a motion as natural to him as breathing, he gathered his long hair and smoothed it back into a ponytail.
Arisu felt the energy around them shift, the tide changing as Baji charged forward.
He moved with a wild, untamed ferocity, cutting through the opposition like a force of nature. The guards fell victim to Baji's devastating fists and lightning-fast kicks one by one, sometimes in pairs. He sent them flying or straight to the ground with a brutal yet graceful efficiency.
โStep down, Hatter,โ Kisaki ordered as if he could contain the storm headed his way. As if he could actually will a tornado to change its path.
โHatter? Nahโฆโ Baji cracked his knuckles, his grin razor-sharp as he tilted his head at Kisaki. โIโm Baji Keisuke,โ he announced, his voice ringing through the throne room like a war drum. โFirst Division Captain of the Tokyo Manji Gang.โ
Kisakiโs smirk faltered.
Arisu didnโt wait for the next moveโshe turned to Emma, stepping forward even as the Queen hesitated, torn between the force controlling her and the truth clawing at the edges of her mind.
Baji lunged, sending the throne room into complete chaos.

The Knights and the Jabberwock
The ruins of the White Castle lay in eerie silence, the remnants of a world shattered by Kisakiโs machinations. Crumbled towers jutted into the fog-choked sky, the skeletal remains of grandeur lost among the mist. Vines choked the once-pristine marble, and the air itself was thick with sorrow, the very land itself mourning what had been stolen.
Draken strode forth, his heavy crimson cloak sweeping the dust in his wake. The Red Knight spent years following Emmaโs will, defending her throneโ defending her. But tonight, his blade was drawn not for protection but for answers. Answers that lay in the heart of this ruined kingdom.
Mikey fell into step beside him. The White Knight did not wear the crest of the fallen kingdom, nor did he drape himself in red. His silver armor was a stark contrast to both, a mirror of the twilight between day and night. He did not swear fealty to a crown. He was not bound by borders. He was Wonderlandโs protector.
And ahead of them, looming in the mist like a beast born of nightmares, stood the Jabberwock.
Kazutora lurked among the ruins, his twisted form shrouded in the same melancholic mist that clung to this desolate place. Golden eyes, wild and haunted, flashed with recognition and madness as they fell upon the two knights.
Draken was the first to approach him. โKazutora.โ
The Jabberwock growled, his talons flexing and scraping against the stone. โDonโt speak that name. That name is dead.โ His voice was ragged, torn between human and monstrous. โYou should have left me to rot.โ
Mikey stepped forward, unshaken by the ghastly form of a man he once called friend. โYouโre not lost, Kazutora.โ
A sardonic laugh rumbled from deep in his chest. โArenโt I?โ He gestured around the ruins with a sweep of his clawed hand. โLook around you, White Knight. The kingdom fell. The Queen was cast out. I was made into this. And youโโ His eyes burned like embers as they settled on Draken. โYou let it happen.โ
Drakenโs jaw tightened. โI didnโt have a choice.โ
โDidnโt you?โ Kazutora snarled, stepping closer. โYou let Kisaki twist Queen Emmaโs mind, let him carve up Wonderland like a butcher. You let him turn me into this thing.โ His voice cracked, anger giving way to rawness. โDid you even try to stop him?โ
Draken met his gaze without flinching. โI did what I could.โ
Kazutoraโs breath was ragged, his form trembling with fury. But then, Mikey took another step forward, his presence cutting through the tension like a blade.
โI remember who you were before this,โ Mikey said. His voice was quiet, but it carried further than the howling wind around them. โYou were never meant to be the monster. You are a knight.โ
Kazutora flinched. The mist swirled around him, thickening and pulsing, as if it, too, was caught between what he had become and what he once was.
Draken drew in a deep breath. โWe need you, Kazutora.โ
The Jabberwock let out a hollow laugh. โFor what? More fighting? More bloodshed?โ
โNo,โ Mikey said simply. โFor Wonderland.โ
Something in those words struck deep. Wonderland. Not the White Kingdom. Not the Red. Wonderland itself.
The curse did not break in that moment. Kazutora did not suddenly return to the knight he had once been. But the fight drained from his stance, and for the first time in years, something human returned to his golden eyes.
Draken extended a hand. Mikey did the same.
Kazutora hesitated. Then, slowly, his talons curled around their hands.
The Jabberwock was not undone. But for now, he would walk beside them.

The battle raged in the Red Queenโs throne room, chaos unraveling Kisakiโs carefully woven control. Baji stood in the center, his coat tattered, a wild grin splitting his face as he squared off against the Haitani brothers.
โYou guys always take orders from a coward?โ Baji taunted, cracking his knuckles. His hair, pulled into his signature ponytail, whipped around his face as he stood between them and Arisu.
Ran twirled his baton lazily, his usual smirk in place, though his sharp gaze flickered toward Kisaki. โOrders are orders,โ he mused. โBut you know how it is. No point dying for a sinking ship.โ
Beside him, Rindou scoffed. โYou could at least pretend to take this seriously.โ
Baji didnโt wait for them to decide. He lunged, fists flying, meeting the brothers in a violent dance of steel and strikes. The clash was nothing short of explosive, but Baji was built for fights like this. He dodged, countered, and struck with precision, his movements sharp as the edge of a knife.
The Haitanis were skilled, but the tide was shifting, and they knew it.
Then, the doors burst open and the three knights strode in.
Kisaki turned sharply, his cold gaze narrowing at the sight before him. The Red Queen, seated upon her throne, stiffened as her eyes landed on the new arrivals.
Mikey and Draken flanked Kazutora, no longer a creature of the shadows but a knight reclaiming his destiny. His golden eyes burned with a fire Kisaki had not accounted for.
Determination.
Drakenโs voice rang through the chamber like a war cry.
โWeโre here for the Queen.โ
And for the first time, Kisakiโs smirk faltered. The last remnants of his control shattered.
Ran shook his head. โWell, damn.โ
Rindou rolled his shoulders before shoving his hands into his pockets. โYeah. Nope. Iโm out.โ
Ran chuckled, twirling his baton once more before resting it against his shoulder. โGuess weโre forfeiting.โ He glanced at Baji, giving him a lazy salute. โNice fight, though.โ
Baji spat blood to the side, shaking out his bruised knuckles. โTch. Cowards.โ
Meanwhile, Arisu stood before Emma, her hands grasping the queenโs tightly. Emma trembled, her eyes flickering between clarity and the haze of Kisakiโs influence.
โEmma, listen to me,โ Arisu pleaded. โYou know this isnโt right. You remember, donโt you?โ
Emmaโs breathing was uneven, her fingers clutching Arisuโs as though afraid to let go. โIโฆ I donโtโฆโ
Arisu stepped closer, pressing their foreheads together. โYou were never meant to rule with fear. Wonderland was never meant to be this way.โ Her voice wavered, raw with emotion. โYou know me. You know us.โ
A spark ignited between them. A pulse of something ancient and powerful.
Emma gasped as memories flooded her mindโ the laughter of two sisters, two queens, ruling side by side. The feeling of Arisuโs hand in hers as they ruled together. The warmth of their shared power, a light that had once bathed Wonderland in brilliance.
And just like that, Kisaki's spell shattered.
White streaks blossomed fully in Arisuโs dark hair, spreading like a cresting wave until she stood before Emma shimmering in her true form. The White Queen truly returned.
Emmaโs eyes widened. โArisuโฆโ
Arisu smiled. โWelcome back, sister.โ
Emma turned sharply toward Kisaki. The weight of realization crashed over her, and fury sparked in her veins. โYou lied to me.โ
Kisakiโs expression darkened. โEmmaโโ
But she was already stepping forward, the full power of the Red Queen crackling around her. โYou used me. You twisted Wonderland into your own game. But itโs over, Kisaki.โ
Arisu joined her, their hands clasping together. Light erupted between them, white and crimson, the combined power of two rulers reclaiming their world.
Kisaki snarled, his usual composure finally cracking. โNo. No! This is my Wonderlandโโ
The power surged, wrapping around him like an unbreakable chain. Arisuโs voice rang clear. โThen letโs see how you like banishment.โ
A vortex tore open behind him, a rift between Wonderland and Earth. Kisaki barely had time to scream before he was swallowed by the very fate he had forced upon Arisu so long ago.
The throne room fell silent. Then, Emma turned to Arisu, exhaling shakily. โItโs really over, isnโt it?โ
Arisu squeezed her hand. โYes.โ
Wonderland, at last, was theirs again.
The Red Castle brightened around them, shedding its dark and foreboding aura as Wonderland righted itself. The heavy, oppressive air lifted, replaced with a living vibrancy. Veins of glowing ivy crawled up the walls, the once-blackened stained glass shimmered with warm colors, and golden light flooded in through the windows.
And then, far across the land, a tremor rumbled through the ruins of the White Castle. Small woodland animals scattered in all directions.
Arisu and Emma turned toward the distant horizon where a swirl of white and silver magic coiled around the shattered remains of what had once been Arisuโs home. Stone and marble lifted into the sky, pieces clicking into place like a puzzle being solved. Columns straightened, banners unfurled, and crystal towers stretched toward the heavens. A deep magic resonated through the land as Wonderland welcomed back its rightful rulers.
Kazutora stood in the middle of the throne room, a strange stillness settling over him. His monstrous form flickered and cracked like shattering glass, the dark magic unraveling. He took a sharp breath as the weight of the curse lifted, and when the last of it broke away, he stood not as the fearsome Jabberwock, but as himself. A knight, tall and steady, his golden eyes clear for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
Emma watched him, a quiet smile breaking across her face. "Welcome back, Sir Kazutora."
He blinked at her, then at his own hands, flexing his fingers as though relearning how to exist in his own body. A slow, bewildered grin spread across his face. "...Guess I owe you both a thank you."
Arisu barely heard him. Her gaze was locked on the portal forming before them, a swirling rift of shifting light and shadows. The lights and crowds of Shibuya Crossing glimmered through the door between Wonderland and Tokyo.
A way home.
Baji stared at it, his expression stoic. The glow of Wonderland reflected in his eyes, but his feet didnโt move.
Arisu held his hat in her hands, gripping the fabric as though it was the only thing keeping her tethered to the floor.
The choice is his.
She wouldnโt ask him to stay. She couldnโt. Wonderland may have been restored, but Baji never belonged to it in the first place. This wasnโt his world. He had friends waiting for him back in Tokyo, a life that had been stolen from him the moment he was pulled into this madness.
He deserved to go home. But her heart ached at the thought.
She tried to keep her expression neutral, but she knew her feelings were written all over her face. She wanted him to stay. The thought of watching him step through that portal filled her with dread in a way she wasnโt prepared for.
Baji let out a slow exhale. He glanced at the portal, then back at her, studying her face.
It hit him then. The reason he wasnโt moving. It wasnโt just Wonderland. It wasnโt just the madness, the fights, or the adventure.
It was her.
Not the White Queen. Not the co-ruler of Wonderland. Just Arisu. The girl who crashed into his world, tangled herself in his life, and somehow, without him even realizing it, became something so very, very important.
His fingers curled into fists, and then, without a word, he slowly stepped forward.
He took his hat from her hands. And put it back on.
The moment stretched between them, the weight of his decision settling like the last piece of a puzzle clicking into place.
Arisuโs lips parted slightly, surprise flashing in her eyes. โYouโฆโ She swallowed, voice barely above a whisper. โYouโre staying?โ
Baji smirked. โCanโt just leave Wonderland without a proper Hatter, right?โ
Her breath hitched. Then, before she could stop herself, she threw her arms around him.
Baji stiffened for half a second before huffing a short, breathy laugh, wrapping an arm around her in return.
Over by the throne, Ran sighed dramatically. โWell, isnโt that touching.โ
Rindouโs elbow jabbed his brother's ribs. โShut up. They're having a moment, yeah?โ
Emma chuckled, and even Kazutora rolled his eyes, though the smile on his face was unmistakable.
The portal flickered then vanished into nothing. Baji Keisuke the Mad Hatter was staying.
A slow, almost lazy chuckle broke the moment.
"Well, well," Hanma drawled as he materialized beside them, lounging midair as though gravity was merely a suggestion. His golden cat eyes gleamed with mischief, tail flicking behind him. "The Queen and her Hatter. How very poetic."
Baji huffed, pulling back just enough to shoot the Cheshire Cat a glare. "You got a problem with that?"
Hanma grinned, all teeth. "Oh, not at all. Quite the opposite, in fact. I do so enjoy when things fall into place. A story is much more interesting when the pieces are where they belong." He twirled lazily in the air, resting his chin on his palm. "And besides, Wonderland has always been fond of its madnessโฆ What better pair to lead it than the Queen and her most wonderfully mad Hatter?"
Arisu rolled her eyes, though a small smile tugged at her lips. "You do like to hear yourself talk, donโt you?"
"Naturally." Hanma purred before beginning to fade away, his grin the last thing to disappear. "But Iโll leave you lovebirds to it. Do try to keep things interesting, wonโt you?"
And just like that, he was gone.
A chuckle rumbled from Kazutora as he crossed his arms. โHeโs never going to stop messing with you two.โ
Meanwhile, across the throne room, Emma stood at the foot of her throne, staring at the place where the portal to Tokyo had been. For the first time since her solo reign began, her shoulders were not weighed down by Kisakiโs control. She was free.
And yet, there was one thing left unsettled. A shift in the air made her turn.
Draken stood before her, his usual air of unwavering strength softened, though his gaze was as steady as ever. Slowly, he dropped to one knee, placing a fist over his heart.
"My Queen," he said, his voice low and resolute. "From this moment forward, I serve you. Not the throne, not a kingdom bound by old rules, but you, Emma."
Emma gasped softly. It was not just a pledge of loyalty. It was a vow.
She could see it in his eyes, hear it in the way he spoke her name. And for the first time, she let herself believe that she wasnโt alone. That he had always been on her side.
A warmth spread through her chest as she reached out, touching her fingers to his, lifting him back to his feet. โThen stay by my side, Draken.โ
His lips curled into the smallest of smiles. "Always."
From the center of the room, Arisu and Baji exchanged glances, both smirking at the silent moment passing between the Red Queen and her knight.
"You know," Baji murmured, tilting his head, "I think Wonderland might finally be back to how itโs supposed to be."
Arisu glanced around at the restored castle, at Kazutora standing tall, at the smirking brothers, at Emma and Draken side by side. She felt the magic in the air, the pulse of Wonderlandโs heartbeat strong and steady once more.
And with a quiet smile, she whispered, "Yeah. I think so, too."
The End.
Epilogue: A Whimsical Tea Party in the White Castle
In the resplendent light of the restored White Castle, where every stone gleamed with renewed purpose and every window shimmered with promise, a long, enchanted table was set for a tea party unlike any other. Amid pastel finery and delicate porcelain cups, the realmโs most eccentric residents had gathered. Sanzu the March Hare, with his wild, unpredictable grin and eyes that danced with mischief, bounded about the table. Chifuyu the Dormouse, snug in a teacup and ever the epitome of sleepy wisdom, dozed off and on. Takemichi the White Rabbit, impeccably attired in his disheveled waistcoat and twitching ears, kept a careful watch over the proceedings, while Baji the Hatter, with his nonchalant bravado, sat at the head of the table, his hat in place and his gaze alert.
As laughter mingled with the clink of teacups and the rustle of fine linens, Takemichi cleared his throat in a measured tone that betrayed both excitement and solemnity. โThe royal wedding of Queen Emma and Sir Draken is nearly upon us,โ he announced, his voice imbued with an unmistakable note of anticipation. โIt promises to be a celebration that mends the very fabric of Wonderland, uniting not only the Red and White Kingdoms but all of us under its magical embrace.โ
No sooner had his words settled into the room than Sanzu, never one to miss an opportunity for a bit of unhinged mischief, leaned forward with a conspiratorial glint in his eyes. โAh, but speaking of weddings,โ he teased, his tone light yet provocative, โperhaps itโs high time for another royal union. What do you say, Baji? You and Arisu. You two would make a smashing pair, wouldnโt you?โ His remark danced in the air like a dare, playful and wicked.
At the table, Chifuyu stirred from his half-slumber, his soft voice carrying a note of admonishment as he scolded, โSanzu, be quiet. That kind of talk isnโt fit for a tea party, least of all when the Red Queenโs own nuptials are at hand!โ His tiny form wavered with a mix of irritation and concern, as if the very idea of disrupting the fragile peace was too great a sin.
Baji, ever the embodiment of cool detachment even amidst the lingering adrenaline of past battles, fixed both Sanzu and Chifuyu with a piercing glare that softened only as a reluctant smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. โEnough of your nonsense,โ he drawled, his tone layered with both amusement and finality. โThis isnโt the time for all that when Wonderland is healing and hearts are mending.โ
A hush fell over the gathering as the moment deepened into something gentle and profoundโ a rare peace after the tumult. The castleโs restored grandeur shone in golden hues over their faces, and even Sanzuโs impish eyes softened for a heartbeat in understanding. Takemichiโs ears twitched as he resumed his vigilant posture, while Chifuyu settled back into his teacup, his tiny eyes half-closed in contentment.
In that fleeting, enchanted interlude, it was clear that Wonderland had not only been restored but reborn into a realm where even a Mad Hatter and a Queen could share in the promise of tomorrow. And though the prospect of change stirred both excitement and uncertainty, each resident knew that in this mad, marvelous land, every choice and every union, royal or otherwise, was part of the grand, unpredictable tapestry of life in Wonderland.

Sanzu, who noticed he'd fallen for you months before you ever did. He never bothered denying it. Denial wastes time.
Sanzu, who already knows your coffee order, your work schedule, and which konbini you stop at after a bad day.
Sanzu, who isn't jealous. Jealousy implies uncertainty. He just doesn't think the person flirting with you has good survival instincts.
Sanzu, who quietly moves your hand away from a hot coffee mug because you'll burn yourself. He calls you an idiot while he's doing it.
Sanzu, who stares for a second too long whenever you laugh. He catches himself every time. You never do.
Sanzu, who tells everyone you're annoying. The fact that you're sitting beside him while he says it tells a completely different story.
Sanzu, who doesn't ask if you'll stay the night. He just hands you one of his shirts and goes to set up coffee for two for in the morning.
Sanzu, who isn't awkward. He isn't confused. He isn't wondering if he should act. He decided you're his person, and from that moment onward he behaves as though it's an objective fact of the universe.
Sanzu, who quietly rearranges his life to include you, then acts as though that's the most logical thing anyone has ever done.
Sanzu, who has a drawer in his penthouse full of your things. He never asked if you wanted one. It seemed inefficient not to.
Sanzu, who never actually asked you out. He started including you in his plans until one day someone referred to you as his partner.
Sanzu, who doesn't understand why everyone keeps asking if the two of you are dating. You sleep at his penthouse three nights a week. He thought the answer was obvious.
Sanzu, who has never once questioned whether he loves you. The only question was when you were going to catch up.
Izana, who stops asking if you're coming over and just asks what time you'll be there.
Izana, who keeps his guitar close by and tuned even when he hasn't played in a while because you like hearing him.
Izana, who pauses whatever he's doing to feed his betta fish at the same time every day. You tease him for being soft. He denies it without looking away from the tank.
Izana, who shifts a little closer on the couch until your shoulders are touching. If you don't move away, that's answer enough for him.
Izana, who notices your hand is cold and reaches for it without thinking. By the time he realizes what he did, your fingers are already intertwined.
Izana, who acts like your hoodie just mysteriously ended up in his apartment. It definitely wasn't because he likes having something that smells like you.
Izana, who doesn't ask if you're staying the night. He puts your favorite mug beside the kettle for when he makes morning tea.
Izana, who wakes up before you do and spends a few quiet minutes watching you sleep. Not out of suspicion or restlessness, but because every morning there's a tiny part of him that still expects the dream to end.
Chifuyu, who rehearses what he's going to say to you on the walk over.
Chifuyu, who forgets all of it the second you smile at him.
Chifuyu, who goes home convinced he embarrassed himself. Baji tells him he did fine.
Chifuyu, who notices you've been buying the same canned coffee every morning. The next time you're running late, there's one waiting on your desk.
Chifuyu, who starts smiling before you even reach him. He doesn't notice he's doing it until Baji points it out.
Chifuyu, who keeps a picture you drew tucked inside one of his manga books. He acts surprised when it falls out, despite knowing exactly which page it's on.
Chifuyu, who gets halfway home before realizing he forgot the reason he went to see you in the first place. He spent the entire visit enjoying your company instead.
Chifuyu, who insists he's being subtle. Baji has counted at least seven people who already know.
Chifuyu, who is convinced he's hiding his feelings well. The only person who hasn't figured it out yet... is him.
Chifuyu, who still gets butterflies every time you smile at him. He secretly hopes that feeling never goes away.
Rindou, who starts every morning by asking if you slept well before he even checks his phone.
Rindou, who still rolls his eyes when you fuss over him, but quietly starts doing the same things for you.
Rindou, who has long since stopped pretending your side of the closet is "temporary."
Rindou, who texts Ran that he'll be late because he's making breakfast. Ran responds with, "Didn't know being domestic was contagious."
Rindou, who still leans against doorframes with that familiar smirk, except now it's because he likes watching you exist for a minute before saying good morning.
Rindou, who doesn't say "I love you" every day. He doesn't have to. He remembers how you take your coffee, keeps your favorite snacks in the pantry, and reaches for your hand without looking.
Rindou, who keeps a spare phone charger on your side of the bed because you always forget yours.
Rindou, who automatically slows his pace to match yours when you're walking together.
Rindou, who still teases you mercilessly, then quietly wraps an arm around your shoulders when he notices you've had a rough day.
Rindou, who doesn't think twice before introducing you as his partner. Years ago he would've made some smartass comment and avoided the label entirely. Now it just feels like the truth.
Rindou, who still catches himself looking at you sometimes. He's just grateful you never stopped choosing him.

Sketching roleplay scenes will never not bring me joy. This is post war. Right side of his body is obscured on purpose because Hizashi makes him feel whole no matter how many parts of him are missing.
Mitsuya, who notices you're getting sick before you do. He quietly picks up medicine on his way over because "just in case" is cheaper than "I told you so."
Mitsuya, who quietly lets himself into your apartment with grocery bags in hand because you sounded awful over the phone.
Mitsuya, who tucks another blanket around your shoulders. You insist you're warm enough. Five minutes later, you're stealing the blanket anyway.
Mitsuya, who somehow makes soup taste better than anyone else's. He swears it's the recipe. You suspect it's because he made it for you.
Mitsuya, who absolutely refuses to let you do the dishes afterward. Your only job is to get better. He'll handle the rest.
Mitsuya, who sighs dramatically when you apologize for being a burden. "You're sick. Not inconvenient."
Mitsuya, who braids your hair out of your face before you fall asleep, simply because it'll be more comfortable for you.
Mitsuya, who checks your temperature with the back of his hand out of habit, then frowns because you're warmer than yesterday.
Mitsuya, who falls asleep sitting beside your bed after checking your temperature one last time. He insists he wasn't worried. The untouched, cold cup of coffee on the nightstand says otherwise.
Koko, who quietly sits a to-go order on your desk after a lunch meeting with clients before disappearing into his office.
Koko, who gives you a large piece of clear quartz to "help you stay focused and concentrate" while you work. He has a similar piece on his own desk.
Koko, who keeps an extra umbrella in his office because you keep forgetting yours. He claims it's more efficient than listening to you apologize every time it rains.
Koko, who asks you to take care of his cat when he's away on business. He doesn't want to hire a pet sitter because "she likes you."
Koko, who asks you to accompany him to dinners and business events because he trusts your judgment. He tells himself it's because you're competent. That's only half the reason.

Ran, who gives you a nickname before he even asks your name.
Ran, who remembers every tiny thing you've ever mentioned, then pretends it's a complete coincidence.
Ran, who casually drapes an arm over your shoulders just to see how flustered you'll get.
Ran, who asks if you're blushing because it's warm in here. He knows full and goddamn well he's the reason.
Ran, who smiles before he says something because he already knows exactly how you're going to react.
Ran, who insists he's "just teasing." Neither of you believes him anymore.
Ran, who enjoys making you laugh almost as much as he enjoys making you flustered. Almost.
Ran, who secretly spoils you.
Ran, who replaces something you mentioned was broken without ever admitting he bought the new one.
Ran, who sends mont blanc to your apartment "by accident."
Ran, who enjoys watching you realize you're in love with him.
Ran, who knew he was in love weeks before you realized you were. He was patient. Watching the moment the truth finally hit you was far too entertaining to interrupt.
Sanzu, who never once questions that you'd end up here with him. To him, this day isn't a surprise. It's the day the rest of the world catches up to what he's known all along.
Rindou, who spends the entire reception pretending he isn't staring at you. Ran notices immediately and doesn't let him live it down.
Ran, who somehow has everyone laughing during his toast before ending it with something so unexpectedly sincere the room goes completely silent.
Koko, who insists the day should be perfect. If anything goes wrong, you never hear about it because he already paid someone to fix it.
Baji, who keeps checking that you're eating between greeting guests. "You've been talking to people for two hours. Here. One bite."
Chifuyu, who forgets every vow he rehearsed the moment he sees you walking down the aisle. The only thing he manages to say is, "You look... wow."
Mitsuya, who waits until everyone else has left before helping you gather flowers and gifts. "The party's over," he says with a tired smile, lacing his fingers through yours. "Now we get to be married."
Shinichiro, who checks for the rings three separate times before leaving the house... then pats every pocket in a panic five minutes before the ceremony anyway.
Kazutora, who quietly asks if this is all real because he still can't believe he deserves this kind of happiness.
Mikey, who disappears twenty minutes before the ceremony. No one can find him. He returns with your favorite dessert because it wasn't in the catering order.
Draken, who waits until everyone has waved goodbye before helping you onto the back of the Zephyr. "Ready?" he asks, glancing over his shoulder with a grin. The ride home is slower than usual. Tonight isn't about getting somewhere. It's about making the drive last a little longer.
Mucho, who doesn't dance, but the moment a slow song starts he quietly offers his hand. No speech. No fanfare. Just, "Come here."
Izana, who keeps reaching for your hand throughout the reception, almost unconsciously. As if some part of him is still surprised you're really there and wants to make sure this isn't a dream.
Mocchi, who volunteers to carry every gift to the car by himself because "I've got it." He absolutely does not have it. Mucho has to stop the tower of presents from collapsing twice.
