Currently Reading: I have so many tabs open in both my laptop and phone of all sorts stories. I prefer fiction when I read but nothing scary or horror like. I am trying to read a book series called Renegade X that I started in high school but just haven’t found the time.
Last Song 🎧 I Listened to: I am subscribed to a channel known as Night Blue Music on YouTube music that I always have on shuffle. Last song I heard there was Rising Up by Arlie and Alkyn.
Last Series I Watched: The Sandman on Netflix
Last Movie I Watched: 8 Mile, watched it with my brother and it felt nice just hanging out.

So, this one was inspired by the Glaciator 2 trailer. I wrote, like 40k of it last fall but then got burnt out around Chapter Thirteen. I really want to pick this one back up again before the end of the year because it is /such/ a fun fic, and I think people will really enjoy it.
I'm actually kind of thinking of just starting to release chapters, even though I'm not sure if I can finish it. (I'm still having bad mental health issues, and I don't have the stamina to work on novel-length stories yet, it seems.)
I don't know. I really want to share what I have done of this story. (Adrien Trapped in AU-Land too, since I have, like, half of it written.) I'm just worried that if I have another long fic I have to put on hiatus because I'm not well enough to finish it, people are going to hound me for updates like they do on Rejects and Daisy. Maybe if everyone promises to be good and supportive and not treat me like a fic-producing machine.
Here's the summary:
Chat Noir arrives on Marinette’s balcony heartbroken only to realize he’s fallen in love with her somewhere along the line. She indicates her interest but says she can’t date a superhero, so Adrien takes matters into his own hands and attempts to woo her as a civilian.
In which Adrien attempts to romance Marinette by being his painfully awkward, incredibly sweet, unimaginably dorky self. A lot of vulnerability goes a long way.

[Marinette's] head whipped back around, and she blinked at [Adrien] in confusion. “You’ve never used an oven before?”
“I’m not allowed in the kitchen,” he informed her with a straight face. “I’ve never used a can opener or a microwave either.”
Marinette inhaled slowly and then took just as long to blow the breath out. “Okay then.”
“I’m completely at your mercy. Please be gentle with me.” Adrien batted his eyelashes, nearly causing Marinette’s heart to convulse.
“Okay! Let’s get started!” she squeaked, nearly tripping as she rushed to the fridge to fetch the eggs. “Lasagna noodles are really easy. I mean, they’re just flour, eggs, and salt. We combine the ingredients, knead the dough, let it rest, and then roll it out into noodles.”
“When do we have the flour fight?” Adrien inquired, seemingly in earnest.
Marinette peeked back over her shoulder. “Flour…fight?”
He nodded. “You know. When we throw flour at each other? In a lot of the manga I’ve read where the protagonists are baking…”
He trailed off as he took note of the carefully blank look on Marinette’s face as she tried not to give away how precious she thought he was.
“…Are flour fights not a real thing?” he surmised. “It’s okay, Marinette. You can tell me. Manga has let me down before, and I don’t think this will be the last time, so…give it to me straight. I can take it.”
She smiled indulgently as she came over to rest a hand on his shoulder. “I’m sure some people do have flour fights, Adrien, but I don’t think it’s as common as manga has led you to believe.”
He nodded resolutely, reluctantly accepting this knowledge.
“Okay, then,” he sighed. “So…what do we do first?”
I haven’t drawn myself in a while, but this one felt too personal not to. I think society has a big emphasis on “fixing” yourself, which makes sense in the way of therapy or growing as a person. However, sometimes you don’t need fixing because you’re not actually broken. I thought I needed to be more resilient to stress and anxiety, but I actually needed to be kinder to myself, by putting less pressure on myself and working less.
It’s still a work in progress for me, but I hope it can be a little helpful to you all! ♡

Ahh, people will think I’m a hater for what I’m about to say but I assure you I am not, so here goes nothing.
Has anyone else noticed how Marinette and Adrien’s perspective on their partnership is the complete opposite when taking into consideration who raised them?
Let’s start with Adrien. Gabriel is portrayed as controlling throughout the show. He keeps secrets and always does what he thinks is best for the family despite said family opposing him. He always gets his way and completely expects everyone to follow his lead. Yet Adrien’s viewpoint on partnerships is based on trust and communication with a deep respect for one another.
Then we have Marinette, who grew up in a loving household where her parents loved and respected each other. Their partnership depends highly on blind trust and a mutual understanding that they are a team who keep no secrets from each other. Yet all it took was for one old man to tell her that it was too dangerous and that was it. She never questioned it. From then on she kept her “partner” in the dark with no thoughts on how that may effect him.
Adrien’s viewpoint does not surprise me in the least since people that have been in bad situations tend to try to do better then those before them. What baffles me though is Marinette, like how could she believe that a partnership built on secrets and making decisions for said partner is a good thing.

Felt vindicated when it comes to this post cause I tend to ask before thinking and it usually doesn’t go well but this level of patience is very comforting while somewhat unrealistic.
Can this be an actual thing? Like a fic where Marinette shows restraint in her love of Adrien.
And let’s not forget that Adrien’s response will likely be, “Oh thank the heavens cause I’ve had this ring on me for the last year and was waiting for a time to ask that wouldn’t be weird.”
