life isn't that hard

in synastry i would say it's a sign you're not "soul mates" like in the sense of having known each other "before" or "in every life" - which is kind of like, so what. it could also mean that you just don't have much to do with each other's big fate lines in life. for the composite it's more like this relationship's trajectory might be messy/not very glamorous and you can't force it to go the way you want it to go.

with all that said i should also point out that of course the signs and houses involved would also be a factor.

uranus wasn't known until the late 1700s (although there was some documentation not showing it was a planet per se almost a hundred years before herschel formally discovered it.)

in some old books it was called george's star - the name uranus wasn't settled on right away so it was named for king george. you may also find some references to herschel's star, which was also a name for uranus.

one thing i find really interesting about it is most (all?) of the other planets and asteroids, even the late discoveries, have attributes in astrology due to their mythological namesakes' natures (like neptune and the depth of the ocean.) uranus... kind of doesn't. uranus is named for the titan who was the sky. and sure, you can make links between astrological uranus and the sky, but you have to try kind of hard. it's really more about the period it was found in, an age where science and reason were very loved, and astronomy was developing rapidly due to huge improvements to the telescope and mathematics. it was a surprise to find - and uranus in astrology is all about surprises, although it's often painted with a much more malefic brush.
