Sunshine

“So I got an email from my mom today,” Eliza said, glancing up from her phone before turning it off with a little shake of her head. “She and my dad are flying out. They want to come see me perform……Right, so how do I let them down lightly and tell them I’m not currently promoting and there are no SPADES stages planned during their visit? This is probably one of the most awkward things I’ve ever had to do.” Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. She wasn’t sure she wanted her parents to see her doing that sort of choreography.

“I don’t know,.. I don’t know how to do it lightly, but you could just straight up tell them that you aren’t promoting?” Jitae offered, he didn’t really know what to say, considering A was his first time promoting so he hasn’t really had any off time.

“I haven’t been in the zoo forever. Let’s go to the zoo… I think it’s time you reunite with your family.”

“Was that necessary..” 

“When do you think Wonderland will get harder routines hyung?” He asked with general curiosity, “A’s quite easy to do when you’ve done it a few times…” He didn’t dwell too long on thinking of his own answer to his question, instead he busied himself with the idea of food, “You didn’t? Who did then? Was it one of the really nice noonas?”

“I honestly hope it’s soon,” Jitae said quietly looking at the younger of the two. “I know it is, but majority of us aren’t dancers, so we’re getting used to the whole, stamina thing.” He nodded, looking to the food. “It was! They made the food for us, but the boys went out to eat instead, so we can share.”

He continued to watch Jitae’s dancing and, when the othe rwas watching him, felt a pressure to perform to a high standard and capitalise on showing someone all the techniques he had learnt. He’d just finished one of ACE’s routines just to showcase his dancing with the other spoke. “Thanks hyung!” He said, bowing with a bright grin on his face. His whole face brightened at the mention of the food and he nodded quickly, near enough bounding over to the other, sitting on the floor, “Hyunggg, did you make this?”

Jitae used an attentive eye when watching the trainee dance. He had taught a routine he wanted for Wonderland’s song but the Choreographer already had it all planned out. “No problem,” He also smiled, he walked over slowly after the dongsaeng. “I didn’t make it, I wish I were able to cook well.”

“thanks again, for bringing my stand up.” he said as he stood awkwardly, waiting for the stand to be put up. “if you ever need anything, i’m always in here.” jijoon set the keyboard on the now set up stand, immediately shoving his hands into his pockets. “so yeah, you can keep that in mind, i guess?”

Jitae could literally feel the awkwardness, he made sure to quickly set up the stand. “Okay, I’ll keep that in mind, I’ll be leaving now,” he said, kind awkwardly walking away, not sure of what to do.

Taesong, at this point, was doing anything he could to impress his mentors and hopefully have the chance to debut next so, naturally, he was extremely thankful and didn’t meant to take up Jitae’s time and then ask for food. “You are the best hyung!” he mused, smiling brightly at the other. At this point, his hunger was that unbearable (at least in his mind, in actuality it probably wasn’t) so much so that the other could have brought any food and it’d sound appealing to Taesong, “Pork? Lots of it? Hyungg you are the best, see!” With food so close, Taesong seemed to gain a burst of energy and was able to follow the routine with ease - still taking note of Jitae’s techniques and such however.

“I’m glad you think so,” Jitae smiled wide, but his smile faded son, but just because he was getting into the zone, and he was also thinking about that food that the two of them were about to eat. He stopped a few times to watch Taesong solely. He nodded. “Your technique is fantastic,” Jitae was envious, he knew that the boy had talent but not this much. “I think you’ve worked hard enough, and you’re doing well, so lets eat yeah?” He walked over and opened the medium sized bag he had that had two bowls of rice and two boxes that contained pork, he had some vegetables as well, for himself and Taesong if he wanted some.

“Oh, oppa. You and your jokes.” She laughed along, playfully making a face at the other. “This little one– your most favorite and adoring dongsaeng– wants to go to the zoo, but doesn’t know how to get there.” Concluding her sentence with a sigh, Jamie pouted, hoping the other would understand what she was asking.

“I know. I’m quite funny.” Jitae chuckled to himself, knowing that she was only joking, but he thought it was best to make himself feel better. “You don’t adore me, you don’t have to lie to get what you want,” He insisted, laughed. “But I’ll take you, why do you want to go so desperately?” The blonde was very confused, and basically wanted the answer.

She paced back and forth the hall of the MK floor until locking eyes with a familiar face. A look of excitement overcame her face as she ran towards them with a shout. “Hey! Hi! Remember that one time I did that thing for you but told you don’t worry about it? Now’s the time to worry; I need your help!” Jamie stopped before the other, giving them a wink and a wide smile. “So, what do ya’ say?”

“I’d like to say that you can’t go back on what you originally said about not worrying about it,” Jitae said, smirking, “But since I’m a nice person, i’ll help you, what’s wrong, little one?”

Teddy shook his head, “You’ll never be forgotten Jitae-ah, not by me!” He smiled brightly before the tragic memory of how he got glitter in every layer of his clothes returned to him, causing a grimace to form, “That day wasn’t one of my best.” He paused for a few seconds, contemplating how he was going to play off not admitting he lost countless times, “The only time I count as losing at least, Zhen might disagree but she’s not your leader.” He smiled once more, cheekiness creeping through before yet again another grimace happened, “It will? Ugh, I might start a petition for a ballad comeback then.” The beginnings of a pout began and Teddy hoped his aegyo would make the younger feel somewhat guilty for not sharing any, “It was? I blame you for not sharing with your kind and loving leader…”

“Thank you, hyung,” This brought a wide smile to his face. He was glad that his hyung wouldn’t forget him anytime soon. “Oh, so if I would’ve witnessed a few of them, would I consider you to win all but one?” Jitae smirked, teasing his hyung, which he did often. “Well, I feel like the other members would be okay with that, everyone except me, because I can’t do anything but dance very well,” he laughed, thinking about how sad that was. “You blame me for not sharing? Really? When you all hear something that deals with food, you flock,”
