SeulBi pushed her lips together and held the spoon over the bowl so she wouldn’t drip any. “Go ahead then.” She said slouching a bit in her chair, waiting for him to eat first patiently. 

“Oh? So nice and kind today..” he mumbled to himself, feeding himself a mouthful of the frozen treat. “How was your day today, Seulbi-ah?” he asked casually, happily nodding his head as the sweet taste starts hitting his tongue.

“That’s sure what it sounds like,” she laughed, rolling her eyes. “I give it another minute and a half if you’re feeling especially strong willed today.”

“Wow, so much confidence in me, I’m hurt.” he sighed, continuing to keep on his pained act. “Should we have a bet? If I last longer than a minute, will you do something for me?”

The moonlight cast shadows over the almost empty street outside their company, the dim street lamps creating just enough luminescence to barely recognize one’s figure in the dark. But he can’t be mistaken, he can easily recognize that silhouette not far from where he was standing any time of the day — he knows every part of her, from the way she walked to the way her hair falls over her face as she sneaked out of the establishment. The building was silent and still at this late hour, even the guards had withdrawn to corners out of sight, remaining on duty, but not as watchful as they should be, giving the artists easy access to come and go despite their managers’ orders. 

“are you seriously challenging me to a rap battle??”

“What the fuck is wrong with you? Eat it if you want to – or don’t. If you don’t, I will. So, act quickly because I won’t give it back after I’ve already taken the time out of my busy ass schedule to touch it.”

“Man, spending extra hour at the gym is like hell — and that’s my problem. I want to eat it but don’t want to suffer after. Do you see my problem now? And mang, go be busy somewhere else.. I just want to be lazy today.”

You know, motherboards are probably not that good for you.

Really? I thought you are what you eat  — so.. won’t motherboards help me get some more extra intelligence?

“Mhm, that’s what they all say just before they give in.” She nodded, smiling at his obvious struggle.

“Are you questioning me now?” he turned and gazes at the younger incredulously, a feigned offended expression across his face. “I won’t give in this time.”

“I will!” She said loud enough for him to hear her. Seulbi hummed a bit as she went to retrieve another spoon so they could share. SeulBi didn’t mind sharing and she was never upset that she was going to get another ice cream after giving it away. She grabbed a spoon and quickly run off incase she would be made to pay for it and got back to the table before the people working at the cafe turned around. When she sat back down she took the first spoonful.

Waiting for the younger, Jayce finally got the chance to look around the cafe, a gentle smile forming across his lips as he caught glimpse of people doing various things, inspiration flowing through his mind. Occupied, he didn’t notice the other’s arrival, mouth agape at her sudden action. “Yah! I’m supposed to be the first bite!” he protested, quickly grabbing a spoonful for himself.

Min giggled at his reaction “I’m sorry Oppa, here.” she broke off a piece of the treat and held it up to him “A little won’t hurt, besides I don’t want to get up so you have some too.” she smiles cutely before taking a small bite off the bar

“Lazy girl..” he muttered under his breath, scoffing softly to hide his snort. Leaning closer, he reaches and takes the offered treat, playfully dabbing it on the younger’s cheek before getting up from his seat, running to a safe distance. “Pabo.. eating so messily.”

“Probably more than a hundred times if we’re counting from the beginning.” She relays to him after taking a few moments to count on her fingers for show –she enjoyed teasing her friend and they both knew it. “I need some high quality stuff, the best kind of ice cream around…mochi..” She wiggled her eyebrows at him as if her request was particularly difficult.

“And you think it’ll work on me again this time?” he questioned the female smugly, his amusement hiding behind his fox-like grin. Crossing his arms against his chest, it was hard not to crack up and fall over the floor laughing at her request. God, she’s so adorable, he thought as he tries his best to hold in the laughter wanting to escape, keeping up a straight face. “And I thought you’re going to ask me to do some ridiculous things. How old are you again?”  

“ I know I am.” Myung dismissed the bow with a wave of her hand, pulling out another spoon for herself. She waved it around, returning Jayce’s smile and leaning over the counter. “No, I think you’ll need help.”

“Oh? Who said anything about needing help?” he asked the younger in a playful tone, an arched up eyebrow and a smirk sitting on his features. “I’m a big boy, I need no help!”

“Ok then. Your loss then Oppa.” Min smiles cheekily before reaching out to grab the ice cream “I mean, it shouldn’t go to waste and if you aren’t going to eat it someone should…” she shrugged as she opened it up “Mmmm, it looks good.”

Watching her take away his frozen treat, he wanted to whine and scream at her for being so mean and acting like a bully towards him, but instead, he shuts his eyes close, calming himself down as he speaks. “Yah, at least don’t eat it in front of me.. Be nice and eat somewhere else.”

Seulbi had kept going even when he called out to her, but stopped abruptly after he was quiet and she thought he was done speaking, “But I would have.” She said turning around to face him, “ Let me get another spoon, we’ll share then.” 

“Okay then..” Sitting quietly across the table, Jayce went back to munching his inedible cellular device — not wanting to indulge the delicious treat by himself and annoy the younger further when she discovers an almost empty glass, because leaving Jayce and ice cream for a minute, there’s a high possibility for that. “Hurry back! We can’t keep the ice cream waiting..”  

“Why don’t you do me this favor just once….” Her tones are quiet, soft, and it’s obvious she’s trying to manipulate the situation to her favor –hopefully the other will just give in. If she could get this to go her way quickly they could get on to the more important part of this.

“Just once.. Yeah, right..” he retorted with a snort, rolling his eyes at his friend. “How many times have I heard you use this line on me, bee.” Staring at her incredulously, Jayce shook his head in amusement, a hand running through his hair. “Just what is this favor anyway?

“ There’s not even that much left!” Myung pushed it even closer to him and opened the drawer of spoons, holding one out to him. “C’mon. You’ll burn it off with all the last minute concert preparation anyway.” 

"You’re right.. I shouldn’t break the ice cream’s heart.” Jayce joked, a timid smile appearing at both ends of his lips as he reaches out for the spoon, bowing slightly as a way of thanking the younger. “You sure I can finish them all?”
