An average night is tiresome. When I shut my eyes to rest I see everything I avoid. When I try to sleep my mind floods with thoughts. I attempt to push them out of my mind - always ending in failure. And when one thought leaves another two enter. It's always the same thoughts and images that terrorise my mind and torture my sleep.

It's so hard to find peace when my thoughts are so loud. My thoughts are like clouds. They're always there somewhere, and they block out all sunshine. They dampen the good times and leave you numb.

How do you expect me to sleep when thoughts fill my head? How do you expect me to breathe when words block my lungs? How do you expect me to live when I’m drowning in pain?
