this never made a whole lot of sense to me because i specifically remember before season 5 how much people actually analysed EL to prove byler. a byler arc and the arc el was theorised to have were set to complement each other. el doesn’t get in the way of byler in this way at all, we aren't doing away with her. her arc doesn’t have to be diminished for byler to work, in fact we thought it would be made better. the reason i was so invested in this ship wasnt just bc i was waiting to see mike and will confess to each other, it was because the three characters were so interestingly connected to me nad had so much potential to better each other by figuring out who they were meant to be

bitch we are ALL driving the byler bus that’s the whole fucking point. fandom is so much bigger than two very highly kudosed fics

…and i see why this was the main reason i’d get byler doubt before the finale. cause truthfully there were so many moments id pause and be like… hold on… SHOULD we have so much faith in them tho, guys?
