Scarfie is back in play today. Working on the adjustments for the new sweater I am working on. Good Morning y’all. We are starting to prep for the fall & yesterday the boys painted wooden hanging pumpkins for our windows and I chopped down our corn stalks to dry for decorations. ♻️ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ This mornings yarn is some from a shopping trip to Joann’s yesterday morning. I think these slightly sparkly yarns may be perfect for some triangle scarves or fringe ponchos. ⠀ ⠀ They have a slight sparkle ❇️ ⠀ Or maybe more of a shimmer. ⠀ It’s a red heart yarn, now I usually don’t purchase red heart however this yarn is so soft and I love this peachy color and I think @redheart may have swooned me. ⠀ ⠀ Let’s talk about the deal I got on this yarn. Like most makers, purchasing materials is expensive and to be honest it can be costly if you do not have wholesale account to purchase large amounts of yarn. ⠀ ⠀ This yarn was on clearance for $4.97 I had a coupon for 25% off clearance yarn. Which brought the cost down to $3.73 ⠀ ⠀ I also had a coupon for $15 off $75 or more, plus like I mentioned 10% cash back on the @ibottaapp. ⠀ ⠀ So at the end of the day I was able to save. I have to say nothing is harder then saying goodbye to your pets. ⠀ ⠀ Around the same time Vienna started getting sick, Sunday did too. ⠀ ⠀ She tried hard to continue eating but I couldn’t let her just deteriorate anymore. I made a difficult decision to not let her die alone in the night. ⠀ ⠀ After the boys went down for bed, I called her out of her hiding spot, she had poo on her. I wrapped her in a blanket and spent a few hours with her talking to her about the good old days and snuggling this old cat. ⠀ ⠀ She was the best snuggler and persistent lap cat. Wether you wanted too or not. ⠀ ⠀ I left the house with my Sunday Kitty face kitty and came home alone. Today’s sun 🌞 has broken through finally!⠀ And today looks like it will be a warm day which is always good for the boys. ⠀ ⠀ But that golden sun has me loving on this @lionbrandyarn thick and quick wool ease in butterscotch. I know you don’t know what this is. Let me tell you about it. Tomorrow I do the artist waltz(set up) @michrenfest. Part of the rules to set up is decorated tent to fit with the style/feeling of the Renaissance Festival. I figured early to decorate my outer two walls in Tudor style. I found a @duck_tape_diy in wood grain that I used to make the timbers. Another request is no plain white tops. I had to think quick on my feet. I got a 2lb hula hoop wrapped it in the wood grain duck tape and used leaf ribbon and raw hand dyed wool to make a crown of sorts. The inside of my tent I feel is well decorated already with birch tree back drop and plenty of foliage. I have a chandelier and a portable power supply to have plenty of light. It’s been a few days and stock is filling up and I am getting ready for the Highland Fling at the @michrenfest this weekend. ⠀ ⠀ Set up is Friday and I am thankful for those types of schedules.
