My version of a Blue Dragon
The Blue Dragons of Castaria have adapted to life in the waters. When they start life as a wyrmling they can be found in any lake or river in any of the many continents, though most prominently within the lands of Marelith.
When they start to reach the adult stage of their life the Blue Dragons move towards the oceans to find a place to make their territory. By this time conflict with ships is common and it is adviced for sailors to carry gems of varying sizes or any treasures to hopefully appease the dragon to let them pass during this time.
By the time a Blue Dragon starts to mature to an Ancient dragon they dive deep into the depths of the ocean. Rarely ever surfacing. So far only one record of an Ancient Blue Dragon sighting was made, but whether it was real or not is highly debated amongs sailors.
They have been observed to toy with their prey by slamming it with their powerful tails to toss them around in the waters, before finishing them off with their lightning breath.
If you ever spot a wyrmling in a river or lake, it is adviced to inform the nearest adventurers guild as even during this stage they are highly dangerous to travelers and fishers!
This is my version of the Blue Dragon from Dungeons & Dragons for a world I'm working on! As you can tell they are more adapted to living underwater and as such resemble more aquatic creatures. They still have hoards of treasures from any ship they sink or treasures fishers may offer up for them!
