A Dark Urge who does not have a concept of many, many social expectations but just shrugs and goes with it most of the time.
Gender? He'll be called a man because that's what people assume he is. He didn't choose it, he doesn't care, but that's what people call him so that's the box he is in.
Race? I like to think Bhaal couldn't make a perfect being. I like to think that they have fucked up parts, that Bhaal was inspired by a certain race, so to speak, and totally didn't fuck up in the process of making them. Something is just wrong with them, so people assume they are a certain race because that's what they are closest to.
My favorite is drow. It would make sense, intimidation-wise. But the skin isn't exactly purple, their blood isn't exactly the right temperature, their eyes don't look like they should work yet they still see.
Dark Urge who only picks a different name when introducing themselves as "The Dark Urge" doesn't really go well in mundane activities. Sure, they have a butler and a cult for that but... maybe wanting to go grocery shopping was the first time a little desire of their own shined through who they were meant to be.
Dark Urge who remembers the name they picked after they get infected. Who introduces themselves as that because, in the back of their mangled mind, this is already a second nature thing. Because the name just maybe sounds a little right even if it comes with a twinge of guilt they can't explain.
Dark Urge whose sense of self was a blank slate. Who didn't choose their life calling, who was shoved into it, and hey, since they're already here... since they literally can't think of another way existing...
Dark Urge who is Bhaal's chosen, not with anger, not with sadness, not with anything. Who is Bhaal's child because that's simply what they were born as and hey, if people perceive them that way and they are good at it, so it is who they are.
Anyways what I mean is that I love a Dark Urge who barely had a sense of self before Orin did what she did. Aaaand if I may go further, whose sense of self was slowly flourishing pre-tadpole and is forced upon them after they wake up in that Nautloid.
And whose pre-tadpole sense of self may have been slowly flourishing alongside another chosen who subtly (or not so subtly) encouraged it, due to personal interest to having a killing machine by his side, but fell for his own trap in more way than one.
