Soo, I’m actually going to be moving blogs, since I feel like it’ll just be best for a fresh start when I get up and going with Eddie again. You kind find the new blog here. It’s still under construction, but I’ll create a proper promo in a few days.
I’ll carry a couple threads over there, but I’m going to be dropping most. However! That doesn’t mean I don’t want to RP with you (it just means my inspiration for our existing threads has fizzled). Interactions we’ve had between our muses will stay in my blog’s canon, and we can simply create a new thread. See y’all there.

I really need some episodes of Gotham set in the future of Gotham with Kristen Kringle still alive because: -Don't kill the little lady off. Just don't. -If she and Eddie end up dating it will be hilarious because people will be like: "You dated the Riddler? Was it terrifying?" And she can just spill the beans on embarrassing habits he has.

I'm going to talk about a couple thoughts, mixed feelings, and issues that I have with Edward's portrayal in TLH.Â
So, first off, let me say that I haven't read Dark Victory all the way through yet, and I haven't read When in Rome, so these thoughts and critiques only hold true to TLH. And overall, I like TLH quite a bit, though I have a few other problems with it that I won't get into here.Â
My main problem with TLH!Riddler stems from a treatment most of the rogues get in the story. Because part of the narrative is showing a more realistic world involving mobsters, and so the rogues are more exaggerated and one-note to contrast against that less heightened part of Gotham's criminal element. It also serves to show how different Gotham is becoming--the more normal, run of the mill criminals are being replaced by costumed maniacs.
Edward is the kind of guy that will quote Shakespeare on rare occasions when appropriate, but will not hesitate to ruthlessly critique someone else's use of Shakespeare phrases and criticize overused plays, while pointing out several other quotes or plays that would have been more relevant. Â

Woah, I didn't even really think of that when considering JJ, but now that you mention it he does look a bit like Gorshin in that screenshot. I'd just have to be creative with my cropping if I use him.

Ugh, me too. I guess you could say that...it's quite the conundrum. No stop, bad mun, don't make terrible puns. Â Yeah, ALP is quite the cutie. I like his quirky fashion in Primeval, as is obvious.Â

H'okay, so in anticipation of redoing some stuff, I'm trying to choose an FC for threads set in general comic verse continuity. Input would be super helpful! So, here's who I'm currently considering:
-I've seen Jude Law suggested before, and I quite like him as an FC, he has that right arrogant sort of feel.
-In a similar vein, I was considering JJ Feild who has that similar superior air.
 The downside is that he hasn't been in much besides period dramas, so I'm not sure how many modern icons I could get from him.
-For my third choice, I was considering Andrew Lee Potts, who has less of that arrogant air, but he certainly has that nerdy genius thing going on (and has some self importance in some of his performances, specifically in a couple scenes in the Alice miniseries he was in).
As a plus, Potts has a similar fashion sense to Arkham Origins!Eddie as Connor Temple in Primeval.Â
 Sooo, thoughts? Who should I go with as an FC?
The Riddler
To be honest, I just really want to do a 'verse/thread based on this alternative Gotham show whose synopsis cropped up a few days ago. Because Eddie investigating things with a girl detective sounds great because:
Snark?? Yes, probably lots of it.
Mysteries? Yes, good, sounds lots of like fun.
Interesting character dynamics. The synopsis says that Edward would've helped the girl (whose name was Olivia) partially because he was impressed by her intellect. And we all know that Edward is loath to admit that anyone's intelligence is close to his own.Â
Edward probably getting in dumb situations in which he over estimated himself and Olivia having to bail him out and getting completely exasperated with Mr. Oooh-I'm-So-Smart-I-Have-Question-Marks-On-My-Clothes (and probably on my unmentionables.)Â
Update
Semi-hatius is still a-go, but here are some updates on how things are going to change around here over the next week(s) and how it'll be when I get back up and running.
I'm going to update my verses page to include some comic stuff, because I think part of my issue was that I felt sort of hemmed in by one version and I like playing around in lots of universes. *dons fake glasses that I most certainly will only need when I'm an oldie* Because of that, I need to do some more ~research~ (aka reading a bunch of comics) on more of Eddie's comic appearances, so this will extend the hiatus some.
Since I'm expanding my verses, I might change my username, but we'll see.
I'm probably going to have to drop some threads, not because I don't want to continue, but because I'm not sure how to do so, and I want to give you guys the best I can. If I drop one of your threads, feel free to ask for a new one, though!
Also also apparently I've some how gained followers over the hiatus? I'm not sure how that's happening, but thank you guys anyway, and thank you for bearing with me through my lack of Riddler muse!

As he sat and placed a hand upon her arm, she instinctively lifted her other hand to reach over and place a hand upon his before she realized her reaction. High on emotions and her mind cluttered with worry, she had almost acted without thinking about the reality of the situation. Yes, the man sitting beside her was by law her husband, but she had never had much contact with him ever. To start now—at work in a rather frantic frame of mind wasn’t a good idea no matter what. To play it of, she itched the tip of her nose, lowering her hand into her lap slowly. “Yes. You’re right. We will. We’re smart and capable and this’ll all go away.” Kristen focused on the positive, knowing that someway and somehow, this situation would soon be over. His assertion about mental incapacity made her feel all the more secure in that fact. Surely too much drink would make any legal matters null and void. Of course any judge in this city would believe that claim; they had no reason not to. They’d never dated, never hugged, never kissed—right? Scenes from books and movies played out in her mind, the ending of every ceremony sealed with a kiss. Oh god. Her chin lifted, head tilted to look over at him with wide-eyes and a light tint upon her cheeks. Despite the babbling she’s subjected him too, she kept that last intrusive thought to herself, knowing that neither of them wanted to make the awkwardness of this situation any worse. Not to mention the fact that neither of them remembered what happened exactly. “Edward, maybe we should ask…Someone was there and we most likely need all the details we can get when we file for the annulment. It would also be good to know just from a personal standpoint.” A sigh left her as she considered exactly who had let them go to act on such impulses. Someone was having a laugh about this surely. “You’re the problem solver. I think you’d be best suited to do that out of the two of us.” She managed, through her unease, to grant him a small smile.
Edward noticed that Kristen had gone red in the face. Had he done something wrong? He thought he'd been handling the situation to the best of his ability, given the lack of information they had and the high emotional stakes. No matter. Best to press forward and not get mired in the sticky interpretations of facial expressions. Yes, she was right. He would eventually be able to find whoever had been there that night, and in the process of so doing, would have to restrain himself from outright asking why they didn't keep he and Kristen from following through with this plan.
Edward mimicked her smile. It seemed that she was beginning to calm down. That made it so much easier to figure out what to do. Emotions weren't bad, but they certainly did make it hard to think through situations that demanded dry, logical calculations.Â
"Yes, I will do exactly that. However, it would probably help if you did your best on your end to see if you could find out a few details as well. The more evidence we have the better, and the more quickly it will help us get through this." He moved his hand from her arm and put both hands in his lap.
"Until then, I suppose we should continue as if nothing has happened, unless you think it better to do otherwise?"

So, I don't really have the muse for this blog as much as I did earlier? And in general I've been less active on here than on my Jonathan blog. So, I just wanted to say that I will still reply to things here, but activity here will continue to be slower for the foreseeable future.
Maybe Liza should be minding her surroundings a bit more, already on edge, looking over her shoulder most of the time, but for once she just wanted to relax, listen to some music. Even if was from a stranger.
The man didn’t exactly look like an officer of the GCPD, but he had the foreignness that told her was a part of them.Â

"I don't really have a favorite song, but I do like jazz music quite well."Â
It was too boring to have a single favorite. Where was the variety in that?
Edward had to concede to her observations that. Many of the GCPD seemed to quail and scrape at the appearance of the nightclub owner. Maybe he should be a bit more careful, but she wasn't around, so what was the harm, really? He leaned his hand against the side of the piano.
"No one around here seemed to mind, so I didn't really think it mattered all that much." He shrugged.
