Itâs hard being an atheistic witch in a mostly meninite/Christian town. When asked about where I go to church, I say a few simple things
âI donât remember the name right now but I always remember that itâs on Church Streetâ (surprisingly we actually have 3 churchâs on a âchurch streetâ in my town)
If they ask what type of church:
âI always get the name confused but itâs the one that starts with a P that originated from England with Henry VIII....â then continue to explain the story of how King Henry VIII created the... Anglican?(see I donât know shit)... church to divorce his first wife and then killed a few others of them because he wanted a son. Itâs a great distraction topic for some reason!
This tends to get them to shut up. It gives them enough info to assume your Christian without you having to really prove jack squat.

Please, please be careful with the gifs you choose for witchy posts.
I have epilepsy. Some of these gifs that are so popular with pagan and witch blogs make it impossible for me to interact with a post, either because theyâre flashing, swirling, or have rapid movement. THEY ARE A HEALTH HAZARD. They can trigger seizures, migraines, and dizzy spells. I literally just came across this nice post about daily witchy things you can do, and then right as I get to the bottom, bam, a gif that i canât look at. How am I supposed to safely view this? Not everyone has access to gif blockers, and most of them turn off all gifs, which then makes it difficult to ascertain whether itâs a safe gif or not. Itâs not effective. Like please, just be a little more considerate about the gifs you use. I like gifs, theyâre fun, but some make it harder for me to enjoy things.

Bringing this back with the addition of blacklist on mobile. Please tag your flashing, fast moving, swirling, and optical illusion gifs! The blacklist is useless if people donât tag them properly! Tag posts that use those gifs in the post too!
Okay, so since I literally just ran head first into a post with a fast swirling gif that was not tagged, Iâm bringing this back up. PLEASE TAG YOUR POSTS WITH GIF WARNINGS. Please. I want to be able to read your posts! I want to be able to reblog them! But I canât do that when I canât even look at the post. And blacklist is useless without tags!
What tags do you usually use / recommend? I generally just tag anything with a GIF in it as â#GIFâ, but is there a specific tag you / other people tend to blacklist / filter? Iâm sorry if Iâm bothering you with the question at all! No need to answer if you donât feel like it.
Common tags would be âflashing gifâ, âmoving gifâ, âswirling gifâ, âoptical illusionâ, and similar things like that. Not every gif needs to be tagged, like a gif of a kitten or an otter donât need tags, because they arenât usually flashing or have rapid movement. But a lot of gifs that get used in witchy posts can be an issue because they use a lot of flashing colors or have moving patterns. Those are the ones to tag.

Hi, Iâm a journalism student at Kent State University. Everyone here hates Kaitlin with a passion. She gives our university such a bad name. We do not claim her. She is the biggest coward I have ever encountered. I saw her on campus recently and I went up to her to ask her a question (because I am a journalist and thatâs what I do) and she could SEE the hatred in my eyes. I know this because she backed away in fear. She was like, âsorry I donât do thatâ and I was like, âJust one questionâ and she was literally backing away from me in fear like, âno, iâm sorryâ And let me just tell you, I have neverrrrr felt more powerful. For people wondering why she was ejected from a âpublicâ Bernie rally:
1. It wasnât actually a public event, it was a members-only event for the American Federation of Teachers in Lordstown, OH
2. She was sitting in the press section without a press pass
3. Itâs obvious she went in, knowing she would be ejected, with the intention of filming her removal and framing it as a breech of her rights.
4. I mean fuck even if that werenât the case sheâs been known to threaten people who disagree with her by asserting that she carries. I wouldnât be shocked if people would alert security after seeing her to report her assault weapon flaunting ass as a safety concern.
5. She keeps going on about how dare they call the event private because Bernie is a socialist that âdoesnât even believe in private propertyâ affirming she intended to also use this as an opportunity to spread inaccurate defenitions of democratic socialism and cry âhypocrisyâ where there is none.
6. Seriously, fuck her. She is an evil person.
This is exactly the kind of white woman weâre talking about when we say itâs important to white women to uphold whiteness than stand in solidarity with women of color. She *has* to fucking know the white nationalists sheâs aligning herself with will gladly vote in policies that are a detriment to her, but she doesnât care.
