Hey Jackie - I’m so sorry, apparently there’s a time limit on Cameos, and I didn’t know it, so the video cuts off at 20min. ☹️ I don’t think it will allow me to send another one, so let me answer the last part of your question here, but please watch the video first!: *** YES, I think Charles feels that Arthur has found some sort of redemption or grace. And I love the idea that Arthur’s fear wasn’t just for his soul, so to speak, but that he might not get to be reunited with his son. In case this also was cut off: I think Charles’ mother was a wonderful singer. And Charles sings her songs when he’s alone for comfort and to keep her memory near. I think he sang those songs for Arthur when he buried his friend. I also think on that long ride to the burial site, Charles probably took the time to say a lot of the things that he regretted never telling Arthur when he was still alive. Men of that time didn’t really talk about their feelings too much. Arthur conveying his fears about dying was probably a testament to his friendship with Charles… not the sort of thing guys would normally admit to. And I imagine Charles and Arthur had some pretty wonderful conversations on their way to Arthur’s final resting place. 😊
