No because pride and prejudice isn't "I changed myself for you so you would love me back." It's "your blatant rejection and disdain for me made me realize things about myself no one had ever been bold enough to tell me so I sat down and evaluated all my behavior patterns and why they came about and came to the realization myself that I had to work on myself. Also I don't expect you to love me now that I'm a work in progress, so I'm just going to do nice things for you because I don't like seeing you hurt." No wonder P&P fans refuse to settle.
And it is also not "now that you have proven yourself to be less of an asshole I will give you the second chance you deserve." It's "you were rude to me once, so I was very ready to believe the worst about you. But now you're opening up and I realise that, while you definitely have flaws that you need to work on, they are different and less fundamental flaws than what I thought. So I'm going to sit back and reassess on what I actually see and not just what confirms my preexisting bias. And in doing so I realise that at your core you are a very good person."

lol some Miami firefighter got suspended for texting this
Tatiana Maslany was literally insane for playing like 12 different people with the same face and then interacting with multiple versions of herself for five whole seasons
she really Did That⢠and we are all incredibly grateful
No! No, but here's the important thing! She did it so flawlessly, that you would actually forget these characters are the same actress.
I found myself feeling bad for the actor who plays Alison's husband, because "he never gets to work with Maslany," because in my head I kept equating her with Sarah, when literally he only worked with Maslany!
The special effects were so seemless, and her performances were so flawless that we have never seen this gimmick done this effectively, this naturally. And I don't think we ever will again.
She deserved that emmy.
Itâs impossible to describe how phenomenally good a job Maslany did with these characters. Like, it wasnât just that she played every one of these characters so genuinely and distinctly that you forgot they were the same actress. It was also that the characters, being clones, would deceive people by playing each other.
Alison would be on the screen, and youâd be like, âthatâs Alisonâ. Then Sarah would be on the screen, and youâd be like, âthatâs Sarahâ. Then someone who looked exactly like Sarah would be on the screen, and youâd be like, âOh, Alison is pretending to be Sarah.â And some of the clones were better at pretending to be each other than other clones were. And you could always tell who you were looking at and who they were trying to imitate.
back in 2014, I got to speak very briefly to the showrunners at the Hugo Awards afterparty, and they said that, even on set, it was easy to forget that Tatiana was playing all the different clones. theyâd finish a take with her as Sarah and then turn around asking, âAll right, whereâs Rachel?â because she inhabited them all so distinctly that youâd instinctively look for the other actress

"But where's that light coming from" BITCH IT'S FANTASY WHO CARES
Ok but also from a like, theatrical storytelling perspective, thereâs a thing called âwillful suspension of disbeliefâ which is basically the concept that in order to let ourselves be immersed and enjoy a story, we need to turn off our knowledge that itâs all fake anyway.
like yes, we all *know* itâs unrealistically bright for a night time war, but it needs to be so we can SEE the story being told, and the lighting designer used blue light to show it was night time. We KNOW that Sir Ian isnât actually a wizard but we SUSPEND that DISBELIEF because we want to be entertained.
theres the moon, theres the stars, in this fantasy world the stars might be four times as bright or there might be two moons or, considering this is a land without electric lights, its assumed that everyones eyes, including those of the viewers, have adjusted enough to the darkness that yes normal ass moon and stars provide sufficient illumination to actually see that the elf king is not wearing sweatpants like youd be able to tell or who the hell was that who just got stabbed thats kind of an important detail in an action scene
Elijah Wood said he brought this up with Andrew Lesnie, cinematographer on LOTR, once and asked him where the light was coming from in a particular scene, and Lesnie just smiled and said âsame place as the musicâ.
"same place as the music"
UNHHHH EPISODE 189: FEAR
My toxic trait is that I truly believe I could win a fight against anybody if I was mad enough. U might have the strength and size but I have pure, unfiltered rage.
