1. They feel more deeply One of the hallmark characteristics of highly sensitive people is the ability to feel more deeply than their less-sensitive peers. 2. They’re more emotionally reactive. People who are highly sensitive will react more in a situation. 3. They’re probably used to hearing, “Don’t take things so personally” and “Why are you so sensitive?” 4. They prefer to exercise solo. 5. It takes longer for them to make decisions. Highly sensitive people are more aware of subtleties and details that could make decisions harder to make. 6. And on that note, they are more upset if they make a “bad” or “wrong” decision. 7. They’re extremely detail-oriented. 8. Not all highly sensitive people are introverts. 9. They work well in team environments. Because highly sensitive people are such deep thinkers, they make valuable workers and members of teams. 10. They’re more prone to anxiety or depression (but only if they’ve had a lot of past negative experiences). 11. That annoying sound is probably significantly more annoying to a highly sensitive person. 12. Violent movies are the worst. Because highly sensitive people are so high in empathy and more easily overstimulated. 13. They cry more easily. 14. They have above-average manners. Highly sensitive people are also highly conscientious people. 15. The effects of criticism are especially amplified in highly sensitive people. 16. Cubicles = good. Open-office plans = bad.

My Empath Quiz Results
Your Super Serious Title is: The Rainbow Goddess Empath Your Total Score: 59 out of 80 Your Out of Control Healer Score: 7 out of 10 Your Protection Tools Score: 15 out of 25 How Much You Mirror Others Unconsciously Score: 14 out of 15 Your Appreciation for Nature Score: 8 out of 10 You scored pretty high on the overall results. It is highly likely that you are an empath. You are pretty intuitive and can usually tell when people are lying. You may want to look into getting energy work and healing done on your second chakra. Usually people that prefer to be around water have blocks in their second chakras. You prefer to be in nature and this is another very good indicator of being empathic! You like nature and love to experience it's healing properties! But your skills at influencing others is not what it should be. Try reading flirting 101, (yes it's a real book). You need to learn how to recognize and differentiate other people's energy from yours. Learning psychic/empathic meditation tools will help. You scored extremely poorly on the "Mirroring Others Unconsciously" portion of the quiz. It looks like you have a tendency to mirror other people and their energy. Your score indicates that you would benefit from learning to recognize your own energy vs other people's and cord removal most likely. You are pretty good at protecting your aura and energy space, but might benefit from energy work. Sometimes you've got it under control, but you probably struggle more than most people.

HSP and most likely an Empath.
Yes, finally
“Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a ‘hot mess’ or having 'too many issues’ are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world.”

Despite what you've heard, it's not all about stress.
Despite what you've heard, it's not all about stress.
Right Now...
It is an extremely weird and uncomfortable time for me. At the risk of sounding super negative and ungrateful (which I am not)...I hate myself and my life right now. Listen, I know that I have so much to be grateful for and I have friends and family that love me. I have a job and a roof over my head, food to eat, running water, etc. I know all of this. That doesn’t change the fact that I am not happy, depressed and anxious AF. I also understand that it is up to me to change where I’m at how I feel, so don’t get that twisted. Also, I’m not blaming anyone else for my problems (except maybe my parents...a little), I realize that I’m the reason that I am in the place that I am today.
I guess I’m here to vent without judgement or people trying to tell me what the fuck to do or what my “problem” is (especially when they’re just as screwed up as me). Hopefully some of you can relate...if anyone is even reading this. Anyone out there? I mostly don’t care if anyone is even reading this; I’m hoping this will be sort of therapeutic and possibly help someone else to not feel so alone or misunderstood. Does that make sense?
If I do this right, this will hopefully be one of the first of many posts from me venting, questioning, and just talking about life.
Hope everyone has a great day :)
