Viktor was right in how Jayce was young and dreamy and inspired. And he was also right in having his doubts (being just a muse, besides, would make him both uninteresting to Jayce and he’d be bored and unsatisfied)

Meeting Jayce, though, was a push for him to leave his half-voluntary exile imo. He needed to find his motivation and his own inspiration again and, just how he became Jayce’s muse, Jayce, to him, also was a muse in his own way.
