I can think of another fandom like this. I won't say which, cuz I don't need that kind of hassle, but I found soooooo many Reader x Canonically Racist/Sexist/Homophobic Character fics in the main tag for the show. Completely put me off from any further engagement within that space.

On top of everything, these fics seem, at least from a cursory glance, completely OOC. They basically invented a whole new guy and labeled him as Canonical Nazifucker because ... the actor is attractive? No, can't even be that. This actor has other famous roles that aren't defined by a prejudicial conservatism. Which suggests an unflattering explanation.

Fandom, man. I guess when you gather enough white people, some of them are bound to find bigotry either magnetic or just not a total dealbreaker, and some of that group will start to feel too comfortable.
