This is a story about control.

I have yet to meet a nice idiot. Yeah… I don’t see it happening either. 

Okay, maybe not "nice". More like sweet and daft. The kind of idiot that is kind and excitable. 

You know, Daniel was saying that where he’s studying, people are tested into ‘classes’ by GPA and that if someone in one class screws up, it’s just that level that’s punished while the others are left to study in peace. Sounds sort of nice. 

That does sound nice but not all idiots deserve to be punished. Some idiots are nice. It really would be nice if only the offending party was punished but that's never going to happen. 

I have. We’re well acquainted. There’s still hope. 

Optimism is cute but the people who are going to learn anything already have. It's pointless to wait for idiots to learn. 

There’s got to be some hope for us. 

Have you met humanity? 

True. But I still think that how we react to something we weren’t expecting or didn’t ask for says a lot about our character as a student body. I fully believe it’s a test. 

All of our behavior speaks to our student body character. Time after time and punishment after punishment prove that we suck. 

It might yeah. But at the same time, if people complain about being given a dance, I don’t see how the Headmistress would be persuaded to give us back our off campus privileges either. 

I'd assume that people would be pissed because they didn't ask for a dance. They asked for their privileges back and in response, we get a mandatory dance. 

A lot of people seem to be getting really down on it but… it’s just a dance you know? If we have to go, might as well make it fun. 

Of course it's mandatory. I can understand why people aren't excited about it. Being forced to go to something kind of sucks the fun out of it.

I’m alright. I had a nap after the exam so now I’m sort of awake. 

What time was your exam?
