I spent a year going to school in america. that school had two campuses and a bridge between those campuses. me and all the little american children hated that bridge. Why the fuck do we have to climb 50 steps up and then 50 steps down between every class?

Well one lovely spring day one kid rips another kids earring out on that bridge and those little fuckers get blood everywhere so the rest of us get to spend the rest of the day crossing the street instead.

So. Many. Kids. Almost hit by car??

Month after that I got a doctors note saying I didn't have to use the bridge. There was no reason for this except that I told the doctor there was a big fucking bridge in the middle of my school and he said. Yes. Sounds unreasonable.

Three near death experiences came with that bridge exemption. One car zooming a good 100kmh in front of me, inches from my face. Another doing the same behind me, different time. Third fucker came out of nowhere and hit the brakes so close that they stopped **right** by me. Many more occasions where they came too close. There was a crossing guard. Not that anyone cared.

Left America and went back to my normal fucking school with one campus where I managed to survive long enough to graduate (I thank the lack of attempted vehicular manslaughter for this)

Hey there! It looks muddy because you lack contrast. I put a very five-mimute amount of effort into this visual to demonstrate what I mean:

top left is your drawing as-is. bottom left is your drawing in grayscale. see how it all blends together? you don't want that. top right is me having adjusted some values and added a few lines on top of your art (done fast so it's sloppy but oh well). I made some things darker and added some highlights. Bottom right is that version in grayscale. See how everything pops out more? that's what youre aiming for. it can all be gold, but you need ✨ contrast ✨. Contrast is everything. More is pretty much always good. Hope this helps. I like your drawing :)
