To answer your questions:

I don’t really have one specific style that inspires my own, generally my art is a mix of media i like (such as spiderverse and Castlevania) and artists i find online (). I will say i’m trying to go more towards semi-realism when it comes to rendering my art. But I definitely found a good amount of what I liked looking at Call of duty fanart, as I got more into the fandom my art style changed a lot! 😭

And to answer your other question:

My art process (w pics😼)

First I start off with a bare bones sketch of what I want, it’s never smth pretty as I usually do them on my phone when I get an idea so i don’t forget abt it. But this one of my more detailed sketches, they’re usually worse looking 😗

Then with this sketch it gives me a base to work with to then refine it to be more comprehensive. For me, I tend to do the sketch with this brush as i use it for literally everything! (Brush set: 1KU SKETCH)

Then I put a color behind my sketch which acts like a underpainting like in traditional art. This is so when I put colors on top, i can either lower the opacity of it/utilize blending modes to make all the colors more harmonious with one another.

I do render as I color everything in (cause i’m inpatient) In this part i’ll color over my sketch such as making the lines fit the color, adding shading, making touch ups to stuff that looks off; which I did a lot for simon here cause I thought he looked strange 😔

It rlly is a trial and error process for me, especially when it comes to anatomy.

Lastly for the background I like to free hand them as it is more fun for me and makes me over think abt them less as they are a weakness of mine shown below. As well, when fishing up I like to utilize gradient maps with blending modes, to give my pieces more vibrancy/unity!
