i made a college vine compilation b/c Suffering™️

we figured if it was salvageable, her husband would be able to salvage it; if he can’t, then I need a new machine

he texted me all excited today that he finally got around to poking at it & he fixed it. and I just thought…today’s his 30th birthday, and he told us that he didn’t want any big celebration or even a small celebration. he just wants to hang out with his kid and chat with his wife, and apparently fix my vacuum cleaner

idk I just got weirdly overwhelmed for a minute just thinking about all of it…this family of choice that I’ve accumulated over the years, including this guy whom I’ve known since I was twelve years old and adored as my own brother ever since, and how much shit we’ve both lived through. and now he’s a happy boring dad whose favorite thing in the world is just…dading around, running after his toddler and doting on his wife and fixing their friend’s household appliances.

we grew up, we survived. we’re here, and we’re okay now.
