Hi! 💕

I make them in Photoshop! I use gradients and a few sets of brushes I like, and I try out things until I find what fits the graphic best. I usually change the settings of each layer, and play with different grades of opacity and blending modes. I also merge both images in one so it looks more like a single unit! 😊

"No, Michael. My place is beside you. My commitment is to you, in practically every sense of the word," I declared, shaking my head, and taking his hands in mine. "I'll go back to LA if it's really necessary, but I think the wisest decision is to be where you are, especially if we will be confirming our relationship. But my armour was not that thick, and even if all that was happening was solely acting, it tapped into something tiny and afraid within me. A part that wasn't dealing that well with keeping our relationship a secret. However, I wasn't willing to retract myself on that decision. I knew well it was the right thing to do, and I wanted to do the best for his career. With the album about to be released and the upcoming tour, that the world knew he was romantically involved with someone could be bad, but that said someone was also his manager could be a catastrophe. I could live with this; I knew I could do it. Because I wanted the world to appreciate that he was offering himself entirely to his craft.

Hi, loves!

I'm finishing the next chapter right now, and I believe it'll be ready to post tomorrow!

I know it's been more than a week already, but I took a few days to rest after finishing the first arc and to do some more research for the second part of the story.

Besides that, I wanted to give you a bit of an update about the podfic and the Spanish translation. I won't have much free time from now on because of work, so I won't be able to work on those for now, and I want to prioritise writing the story as much as I can.

However, this doesn't mean the story won't have extra things ❤️ I'm working on drawings and stories for the anthology right now. Also, I'm figuring out how to do scene visuals, and I will also be posting breakdowns of the playlists, which, in case you didn't know, I update every chapter! (I probably put more effort and time into them than I should, but I love playlists, so-)

Fun fact about the playlists: Lena's playlist is a jumble of years/artists she listened to in her time mixed with ones from the decade she's in in the past, while Michael's songs will never go beyond the year the story is in and are completely chronological.

Our Christmas tree was placed in the far corner of the room, full of decorations and colourful lights that were currently twinkling, filling the room with a peaceful and cheerful ambience. Michael walked towards it, his steps slow, almost hesitant. I watched him inspecting it, raising a hand to touch a few of the decorations. Fighting my rising anxiety, I took a couple of steps closer, crossing my arms over my chest. He didn't say anything for a bit. I didn't dare to, either, since I couldn't see his expression from where I was. "Do you like it?" I muttered, in the end, not able to stand it anymore.

"I did think you weren't interested because I was searching for a sign. I hoped that in one of those moments I'd see a change in the way you looked at me, or in the way you spoke. I thought I'd notice, if my attempts were working. If I was getting closer to winning your heart, but— It didn't happen." I stifled the need to let another groan, the disbelief of how much we had been speaking past each other growing in my chest. "Because I was already in love with you. That's why that didn't change that much.

"What are you thinking?" I blurted out, noticing the tiredness etched into his features, the slight bags under his eyes, the glint of them hollow. "You had to go to the hospital yesterday. Because you fainted. And now you're here— Rehearsing. The doctor told you to rest." Michael smiled softly, but his expression became terribly sad. Gently, he grabbed my wrists, moving them away from his face. "I see Bill's kept you informed," Michael said, sighing. "It was nothing." I gaped at him, baffled. "It was not nothing," I practically exclaimed. "Your health is not nothing."

We will be sticking to the timeline of the story! Even if there are bits of 2009 and 1995, we will be following the events from Lena's POV. That means there won't be scenes from 1992 yet, when the story is still in 1984.

I can't promise that every request will be turned into a scene, since the extra scenes have to be possible within the story's universe, but I'll do my best and, of course, I'll respond to all of your asks!

All the scenes will be added to an anthology on AO3/Wattpad with the name of the person who requested it on the notes. If you don't want to be tagged/mentioned, you may request them as 'anonymous'.

For now, I'd like to write one extra scene per week, at least.

I have a few scenes in mind, but I'll be prioritising requests! ❤️ Don't hesitate to drop them into the inbox!

Michael hesitated for a second. Then, one of his hands disappeared inside his pocket, his throat bobbing slightly. He took something out of it, showing it to me. Two tickets for Splash, that very night. He gave them to me, and I took the tickets with supreme care, tracing the paper with my thumb. "You said you loved this movie when you were little," Michael said, his voice so soft it sent a tingle down my spine. "I thought you might want to see it on the big screen." "We're going to the cinema," I stated, glancing at the hat and the moustache on the table, understanding. "Only if you want to, and—" Michael muttered, a soft smirk appearing, a glint sparking in his gaze. "If you don't have plans with your boyfriend already, of course." I groaned, covering my face with both hands.
