that’s right kiddos, they’re trying to use automatic updates to force your computer to upgrade to win 10.

Which would be fine and dandy if every windows user in the world ran a standard operating environment but they fucking don’t and this will break a lot of computers.

To stop this for win 7:  Go to your control panel, select Windows Updates.  Click on Change Settings.  Pick any option you like except ‘install updates automatically’   (Personally I use “download but let me choose” as M$ has a nasty habit of breaking things with unnecessary patches, but then again I know this shit backwards, so YMMV) 

Did you know Windows 10 is actually a botnet, and Microsoft is working in tandem with the NSA?

Allow me to share some of the crazy shenanigans Microsoft is up to with Windows 10.

They inform the NSA about bugs before fixing them.

They openly offer cloud data to support PRISM.

(fyi, PRISM is the NSA’s mass surveillance system)

They backdoored their disk encryption. (1) (2)

They even snoop on your your files, text input, voice input, location, contacts, calendar records, even browsing history, even after the related settings are turned off! (1) (2) (3) (4)

And now, the stuff that should scare you.

Windows 10 has a keylogger which sends all your keystrokes to Microsoft every 5 minutes, which also includes microphone audio and webcam data.

Windows 10 sends desktop screenshots straight to Microsoft.

It even scans for and deletes pirated/illegal software! (1) (2)

Big Brother is watching you…

However, if you’re still on windows 7/8.1, there is hope for you. Simply go here, download the GWX control panel, and delete/disable everything, until it shows this image:

If, however, you had the bad luck to be stuck with Windows 10, I recommend you backup all your valuable data, and afterwards reformat your hard drive and downgrade to windows 7 as soon as possible. I can’t stress enough the fact your privacy matters more than any new feature Microsoft might present to you. But if for some reason want to have Windows 10 on your computer, this utility should help.

(and for the adventurous folks out there, a linux disto is always an option ;) )

While this is normally a fantroll roleplay blog, I’m breaking my standard stuff to present a little something that should concern everybody, as Microsoft is hell bent on turning every computer into a mere terminal for their insane attempt to harvest every user’s data to help the NSA in their mass surveillance attempts. If this doesn’t scare you by the fact Microsoft doesn’t care at all about your privacy, then I cannot help you in any way, shape or form.

you can upload stuff you drew previously, re-upload already existing uploads, and use the on-site painter to edit uploads. you can’t do that with comments, but you don’t really need to since comments are much smaller anyway.

BUT YEAH UH. they need help right now, and it would be cool if more people knew about the site! it’s a fun place to be. also, whitelist pb for adblock, they need the revenue.

the site is in danger of closing (you can read about it here), which would be a crying shame. too much work and passion has gone into the project, not to mention how much the community itself loves the site (me included). the devs work quickly, and they’ve built a smooth-running, extremely functional site. even if you don’t like roleplaying, drawing comments is always fun.
