Neukmin slowly stirred to the sound of nails scratching against wood. He groaned and turned over, slowly opening his eyes to find himself facing the door. It was probably the pub’s bloody cat using the doors as a scratching post again. He tutted and rubbed his eyes, cursing it under his breath.

The clock on the bedside table read 1:35pm, he was several hours late for work. “Shit.” He muttered, feeling a heavy pulse beat against his forehead before he noticed the second human shaped bulge next to him under the covers. Grabbing the edge of the fabric, he peaked underneath. What was her name? Mandy? Shit. He’d had too much to drink. Mindy? No, that wasn’t right but he quickly decided that didn’t matter and left her to sleep.

Throwing on his clothes, he’d planned a quick, quiet exit—but half way through pulling his shirt over his head, he’d knocked over a bottle of liquor that rolled off the edge of the table and smashed against the floor. The liquid seeped red into the cracks of the wood work, dripping from shades of glass. Neukmin turned, certain that the noise must have woken up his spontaneous late night shag, when he heard a coarse groan accompany a loud thump at the door.

She was out --- Completely and utterly out and dead asleep. But whenever she felt a slight stirring in the bed she couldn’t help but to move a bit herself, the warmth soon disappearing from beside her only to be replaced by the cool air around her, kissing her skin as she continued to sleep lightly.

But then, crash~! She sat up fast, and looked around the room before her hand carefully ran over her head --- Realizing that last night she had way too much to drink and this hangover wasn’t going to be all too fun whenever she got back to Hogwarts. She glanced up at him, eyes squinted as snickets of memories from the night before played out in her mind. “Oh....”, she almost forgot the two of them had fooled around last night and spent the evening together. “Just leaving without saying goodbye”, she hummed softly and turned to allow her legs to hang over the side of the bed. “I’m kidding.. that’s fine. What time is it?” He didn’t even have to answer, instead she stared at the clock and the only thing that could even escape past her lips was, “Shit.”

“How many drinks, huh?”, she smirked and thought about it for a moment but of course she remained silent as she finished up the glass of firewhiskey she had in front of her. As he leaned forward she couldn’t help but to mimic his actions and lean forward herself, her lower lip still hidden behind her teeth as she felt his breath lightly brush against her skin, loving the way it had actually felt. His words however made the hair on her arms stand up and her breath to slightly hitch in the back of her throat. And the way he pulled back so easily and smirked at her, oh she could tell he was a pro at this. Taking a deep breath she looked away from him for a moment and contemplated the offer over in her mind, dark orbs really fixated on the bar top before shifting to stare over the other, a hint of playfulness hidden within them.

  It had been weeks since he had decided to retrace the steps of his mortal life with a trip back to the place he once called his home. The familiar sights and sounds of the busy city streets of Seoul had sent his vampiric senses into a cacophony of excitement. In every direction there were lights, sounds and scents that skittered invisible fingers of the professor’s waiting person- and to say he delighted in it, was a drastic and crude understatement.

Still…..

                            ..he couldn’t help but to feel that there was something that he was very much missing. Something that not even gracing the halls of old dwellings or sitting in his former secret hideaway could drudge up for him. No, there was something lacking even here. The feeling of it had been creating a slow tug, a tingle at the base of his spine, an itch that only grew stronger as the time of his vacation came closer to its end.

  There it is.

                                                                                    There she is.

   Jonghyun sees her as he enters the school yard and the sight halts him fully. That dark hair, those long legs, that warm laughter- every detail floods him as his eyes land on the woman that he had missed from the moment he had went on his vacation. He had brought her gifts naturally, but those could wait. As could talking of the trip. As could setting up his classroom. The vampire clears his throat and begins to move again, walking steadily and at a practiced normal pace toward her. He is sure that if it were possible that anyone within a 500 foot radius could hear the excited thud of blood that threatened to try and color his otherwise pale visage. When his voice parts his lips it’s as it always is- warm, calm and gentle.

It was different whenever he was gone, and seemed that all of her happiness simply vanishes and she’s really left with nothing wondering where this certain someone went. Given though, she knew he was on vacation and practically begged him to let her go with him, but she already had plans figured up for the remainder of the summer before school started --- Yet did she go through with her plans? No. She sulked around, trying to prepare herself mentally for the school year that was fast approaching, and yes, she was finally ready. 

Her last year walking the halls of Hogwarts as a student. Before she knew it, she’d be set off somewhere else --- Set free to do as her heart desired, but unfortunately for her she was still unsure what she was do to with her life. 

Heaving a soft sigh she closed the book and looked up, only to see a few smiling faces aimed at her --- She mimicked them and flashed a smile as well as waved to her friends before being surprised by a very familiar voice that simply warmed her heart.

“Jonghyun..”

His name slipped past before she even turned to look at him, and once he came into her view she felt her heart stop --- Her smile grew and she slowly stood up so she could see him better. “I missed you..”, she admitted softly, not caring if anyone heard her. She wanted to wrap her arms around him right then and there, but couldn’t.. Too many people.
