The fact that Tim is the one who realises that Lucy has been radio-silent for hours says so much about their connection. Even if things are complicated between them, he's still attuned to her. To the point where not hearing her voice for a couple of hours is enough to send him on high alert.

The way his panic is so evident and written all over his face… It's like he's suddenly hit with that realisation. He needs to hear Aaron's confirmation first, that this isn't just in his head, that this isn't just him missing Lucy… subtly implying that he has been listening to her, keeping tabs on her, consciously or not, despite being busy himself. Part of him is probably missing riding with her, pining for her… But another part is just him being his protective self and even more attentive with Rosalind out there. He remembers the last time Lucy was radio silent when they were dealing with Dyer. Hearing that she hasn't checked-in for two hours is definitely exacerbating the dread he's feeling. Even Aaron is just as worried, not even trying to offer some comforting words, knowing it wouldn't help one bit.

This is a departure from how feral he went in Day of Death… He's still at that stage where he's trying not to panic too much but there's no question in my mind that he reamed the dispatchers out afterwards. As he should. Honestly, aside from Tim, everybody was a bit too cavalier considering there was a serial killer on the loose who has a history with Lucy. What's upsetting is that she was comforted by the knowledge that dispatch would do a welfare check once she wouldn't report in… But if it hadn't been for Tim, she would have been stuck much longer.
