I am SICKLY with thoughts about the Ouroboros creatures,,, I haven't been able to get a good grasp on what I wanted from the story or the characters but that is CHANGING and I am getting that autistic gleam in my eyes
Is your phantom language based on the writing seen in “The Mystery Below” tablets?
Good question! No, because I have never played that one (I think...) And I wouldn't assume those notes were written by phantoms purely because they seem so neat and pretty. They do look startlingly similar, though, now that I look at them (some of the letters have been changed and they're weirdly close to the notes on the tablets) XD
I do like making references, both to random stuff I like AND the source material (if it's a fan thing), but alas, I didn't think to go looking for any fun possibly-phantom language bits. 😔
A little minor fun fact, though; in the AU, the official Jamaasian written language is Tiger Script! While I didn't make it, it shows up in a bunch of places (den items, shops, etc.) in Classic so I figured it'd work! Tiger Script is written out like English (left to right, up to down), while Phantomaeric has its own rules! I plan on making a whole post about it sometime when I have the stuff ready :3
I like to think about my animal jam OCs,,, how they would interact and what their daily lives are like. Fun facts and trivia that adds nothing to the story but makes them more Real. Neat stuff that DOES add to the story that nobody would really even notice. How the descendants would interact with the alphas in Ouroboros, what the alphas would think of them all. Especially Greely and Nyx,,, such a fun train of thought.
I should make some sketchy comics, methinks. Just to get my thoughts into the universe and give these guys some light.

EXTREMELY rough idea of the color scheme (lots of blue/green in the rainy area, preferably much less saturated, and the interior is brown/orange n cozy) if the colors look weird its because i did it all in greyscale first and then slapped on some color filters at the end lol
