This is the omake from 100YQ Volume 9 that was released today. This specific omake Mashima-sensei praised, confirmed by his editor on Twitter. Ueda-sensei replies to the tweet saying “yokatta/thank goodness”. In sum, this takes place right before Gray gets transported to Edolas. So chapter 65 of 100YQ. Juvia is sad he will leave for the quest again (leaving her behind), so she’s trying to get as close to him as she can. Gray apologizes for putting Juvia in danger during the fight with Aldoron, and she teases him about what he said during their fight with Metro (”Juvia is Gray-sama’s... ummm... what... to live... What was it...? *holds mic*) Juvia starts thinking to herself how Gray might not come back alive, but knowing she can’t think that way, she comments to herself she fell in love with Gray-sama who fights. But also notes Gray-sama who lounges around all day is fine too, showing her delusion of him asking her for food on the couch while drinking, and she holds the clothes. Juvia is like “if that happens Juvia will be the provider”, and Gray is confused at what she is saying. Gray then says “I promise. I will definitely come back. When I come back....” Then he disappears before he can finish his sentence, and Juvia gets pretty trolled, haha. She is left with Cana telling her to drink. lol. Lets hope Gray completes his line when he comes back from Edolas. We all really want to know what he was about to say. :D It does feel like he was about to confess something. Speculation: “When I come back... lets get married/lets go on a date/go out with me/I want to be with you” ? It’s gotta be one of these, right? 🤣🤣
