He’s gonna give him his first house, yes, but he also gave him the start of a friend group outside of his found family (a group which for now is just Deacon and Prunella, but will grow once he’s human again and gets introduced to Simon and the gang), and most importantly he gave him a name that he’s grown to prefer over any other.

What I'm trying to say is, this dude, is stupid. When he is playing an intimidation tactic, it comes off as flirtation. And when he's flirting, it makes people in his vicinity run for their lives. He never payed proper attention to Violet's lessons. She taught him seduction and intimidation and he mixed them up. And the result is this beautiful dumbassery.
