i experience my special interest in bursts. aka, they come and go, but each time theyre just as intense and euphoric! <3 i love these things with all my heart, and they are core aspects to who i am today.
vocaloid: my longest and most important special interest! i love gakupo, kaito, vy2 (roro ver.), rin, and miku! gakukai, gakuvy2, gakukaivy2, and mikurin are my favorite ships! :)
stories / narrative structure: i am an english lit student for a reason. i love analyzing stories and their rules because it feels like solving a puzzle! but generally, i love creating and experiencing different stories of all kind!
my ocs: i have been working on my main story for over 3 years, and although i rarely post about it, i often work and think about my lore! my ocs can be viewed on my toyhouse, but please heed the warnings.
honkai star rail: i love the yaoqing trio, jiaoqiu especially, herta, sunday, and robin! penacony is my fave main story arc!! :)
enstars is very complicated for me due to its' controversial history, and i go on/off on it (like all my interests). though, I can't deny that enstars is very important to me, especially alkaloid + crazy b. my #1 characters in the world are mayoi and kaname, though in recent days they have basically become my ocs and my interpretation of them is deeply personal/meaningful to me!

Just want to put it out there that making fun of autistic people for our safe foods/dietary restrictions is ableist. Full stop. Also whether someone is neurodivergent or neurotypical being a picky eater harms literally no one.
people need to talk about socially acceptable abuse more. it's literally why we're a system. the spanking that people refuse to believe is physical abuse when there are multiple studies showing it affects kids just as much as any other type of physical abuse. the way a parent might talk down to their kid their entire life and make them feel like they cant make any choices themself or be independent that they only notice when someone else points out how their parent(s) talk too and about them. the parentification of the oldest kid(s) when they have a single parent. the unnoticeable praise towards the "easy" child that all the other children pick up on. the neglect the "easy" child has to go through. a kid being punished for going to their parent(s) when they mess up and need help. not being taught how to clean or cook or do laundry or even how to wash certain parts. it all destroys a kid and it was all socially acceptable in my family and in the communities i grew up in.
One of the reasons why there are so many neurodivergent alcoholics is because a bar is in many ways the ideal social gathering.
It's a party that you can attend without an invite, so you don't need to already have social connections in order to attend it.
You know when it starts and when it ends.
You can come and go as you please. You can stay as long or as short as you want. You can go as frequently or infrequently as you want.
Your main focus is socializing. You're not required to do work and socialize on top of it.
You can go alone and run into your friends without having to coordinate it.
It's a place filled with drunks, so acting like an idiot is normal as long as you don't cause harm. Therefore, you're less likely to have to mask your neurodivergence.
As someone who collects a LOT of physical media but doesnβt make a lot of money, I want to share the rule that keeps my wallet from crying out in despair every time I enter a store. I donβt remember who I got this from, but thank you whoever you are because it has been a game-changer when it comes to building a large collection without breaking the bank.
The $1 per hour rule. Itβs exactly what it says on the tin. If Iβm purchasing physical media, I consider it good value if I can expect to get at least one hour of enjoyment for every dollar I spend on it.
I donβt remember what I spent on BG3, but I know it was a good deal because Iβve logged 600 hours in it. Hades II costs $30, and I was more than happy to pay that because I know Iβll play it for at least 30 hours. When I add books to my library, I almost exclusively buy used books that cost under $5 because 5 hours is a good average estimate for how long it takes me to finish a novel.
Will there be a treat you splurge on every now and then? Of course, but $1 per hour is a good standard to stick to if you want to responsibly build a dragon's hoard of physical media.
