MALI: I do the same thing .. and I honestly don’t know why anymore because each new theory video just chips further away at the childhood trust I once had for all of these shows MALI: I hadn’t had a chance to test the tequila myth for myself but I’m so upset knowing that you have, and it turned out to be a lie as well … I was really rooting for that one too ://  MALI: I’ve heard that you can just soak an onion in water to keep yourself from crying when you cut it afterward … but I’m afraid that I heard that tip from the food network and it’s just going to be another lie now so who knows MALI: okay in that case … it’s absolutely the food networks fault and I am the second best chef ( after you, of course ) MALI: we should’ve known that rupaul was the only one that we could trust from the very beginning .. if only we could learn proper cooking technique from drag race, we would all be saved MALI: as your .. manager person ( my official title ), I completely support this plan. you can quit and commit all of your time to the undercover work necessary to expose the industry!! the only thing we have to figure out now is who is going to play us when they inevitably turn our story into a movie

MALI: I know .. this is the same feeling as when you find out all of the hidden meanings behind your favorite childhood shows or movies  MALI: like when you found out that they spelled sex out in the sky in the lion king MALI: I still have trust issues over that  MALI: but oh my god .. I hadn’t even thought about that MALI: we’ve all just been cooking the wrong way for YEARS because of those guys MALI: wait … does this mean … technically … I can blame the fact that I’m a ‘bad’ cook on them? like, it’s really their own false standards that have deemed me a bad cook if you think about it … maybe I’m actually the best 🤔 MALI: oh god, we can’t bring rupaul into this mess too or we’ll never trust anything again MALI: okay same, classes & work take over everything, but your dedication to the process is appreciated regardless & I can’t wait to taste all of it 💕

MALI: look at you already flexing those acting skills of yours, I’m so proud :’) MALI: you even had me nervous there for a second MALI: but I knew I had the right person for the job MALI: that’s what I’m saying, though!! like they just started the iron chef show one day and then convinced all of us that the people on there were the best of the best despite the fact we’d never seen them before???  MALI: and then they made a whole network off of those people judging everyone else??  MALI: this starts immediately okay I can’t wait another second MALI: but maybe we should start with you learning how to become a professional chef so … when are you free for me to come over and taste test all of your best dishes

halloween: if you could dress up as anyone/ anything and pull it off absolutely flawlessly, who/what would it be?

“mother nature. you know? like, it has to be done beautifully and skillfully and just right. and i think it’d be a gorgeous costume. sounds dumb, probably is, but i don’t know. something i’d love to pull off by walking into a room and just having people stare.”

cozy blankets: where do you feel the most safe and at home?

“oh, i’m not sure. i can’t say i’ve ever had an at home sort of feeling ever before. i mean when i am home, i feel at home, but not… at home.”

thanksgiving: what is something/someone you’re the most thankful for? any particular reason?

“not in a selfish or conceited way, but my mindset. i think without it, i would’ve let people lead me down the wrong paths or let people get inside my head and effect me negatively.”

MALI: okay but what if you could do BOTH 

MALI: we just need to get you on some food network competition, have you show them what REAL chefs can do, and then you write your exposé on the entire facade and take over the industry 

MALI: but listen … the cafe almost always has the food network playing in the background while I’m working … I’ve had nothing but hours upon hours of research to develop this theory 

MALI: it was somewhere in the middle of watching chopped that I realized that I hadn’t actually seen any of the people critiquing the chefs on there COOK

MALI: I don’t know how they got away with it for so long but we’ll put a stop to it now

“I do insist.” Minho confirmed, huffing before his lips formed a small pout when he could sense Minji’s lack of trust on his words. Watching the inteaction between his friend and the bartender, he sent the girl a knowing look as the other was gone. “Are you trying to charm him into giving us free drinks?” Minho teased. “Hm, I guess that could work. But are you sure you can handle it?” The design major challenged. “And what penalty should we have for the loser? Asking for the bartender’s number, maybe?“ He suggested, looking over the man and sending him a playful wink as their eyes met. Minho giggled as that made the other blush and turn away to focus on his work.

      “usually my charms work, so yes.” the girl stated in the confidence she so easily wore most of the time, whether or not it was a real sense of confidence or some sort of facade, she wore it well and it usually worked in her favor. “i’m doing what i can to make sure we have a good night. don’t worry, if it doesn’t work - which i doubt it won’t - i’ll be sure to pay for everything. it’s on me tonight.” she told her matter of factly, a smile easily taking it’s place across her features. “whoa, wait, what?” the girl questioned, body turning in her seat to face the boy, “can i handle it? can you, minho?” her eyes narrowed at the boy ever so slightly, the challenger within the girl starting to push it’s way to the forefront of her being. “wow, making moves on my my guy already? you’re breaking all sorts of rules right not, but you’re on.” she told stated with that thick layer on confidence, pushing one side of her hair behind her shoulder before she shot the man a flirtatious look of her own.
