Day 5 of 35 Days of Sonic, Harmony!

Figured this one would be a hit with the aros.

I can only ever speak for my own experience, but I'm sure of 2 things: a- when it comes to asexuality, it's never as simple as "not fancying", and b- "don't fancy" hits like extra crazy work as a sex-repulsed ace.

I try my best to fight my brain when it starts doing this. I know it's lying, but when anxiety is already high, it's hard to bring it back down.

Listing Elon Musk as a good example of successful autistics is an immediate red flag for me. The man's a massive piece of crap, and the only reason he hasn't completely failed in life is because his safety net is infinite. Let's not praise someone who's objectively worked towards making the world a worse place.

My autism comes up in conversation because it affects how I see things, hear things, feel things, taste things, smell things, think things, interpret things, perceive things, and on and on and on and on. My entire existence is influenced by my autism, because it's the reason why my brain is the way it is.

I hate the term 'differently abled'. The only reason it exists is because the word disabled makes abled people uncomfortable.

My hope is that my little comics continue to entertain and help people. To show people the autistic experience. I call my comic Autie-Biographical because I see it as an autistic biography. An autobiographical view of our autistic experience. Not just mine, OURS. May things get better, but until then, let's fight to make our voices heard.
