One boy learns about two kids turning up dead in a lake back in the 80s. It shocks him, hardly anything has ever taken place in his town. But what shocks him even more, is this weird feeling in his chest.

It can only be described as a sense of deja vu. He's seen the newspaper photos posted online. He recognizes those faces, those clothes, the stupid but time appropriate bowl cut. He feels the smallest tinge of yearning. For what? He doesn't know.

On the other side of the country, a boy is diving into DnD reddit pages and YouTube videos like no other. He is constantly active, posting his art of his characters and chatting with fellow internet scoundrels about the game.

And one day, these two boys will be in the same comment section, talking about the same DnD villain, and something in the universe will click together.
