It's 6 days into pride month! Happy pride everyone! I decided I should probably post a couple Inky Mystery Osix wips I don't think I'll actually finish of them being silly and gay. Hope you all enjoy even though they are unfinished. Just realised they are like all in Oswald's POV for some reason. These are very much not edited since they were all written on my phone notes app so no grammer or spelling help for me.
Drunken Confessions (2,349 words)
Oswald sighed, the cool spring breeze going in and out of his lungs. The rabbit wasn't sure where he was going, so he just wondered aimlessly around the city. It's not like he would get lost, he had gotten to know the city well due to all his experience in Toontown throughout his life. Besides he could always rely on his lucky rabbit's foot... Or a cab.
Both Mickey and Donald practically begged Oswald to leave the house for a couple hours, said they had the kids handled and he needed a minute to "de-stress". Oswald almost laughed.
He turned a corner, coming into a more residential area, his feet carrying him more than his mind. Of course he was stressed! His own brother got the same ratchet illness that took his wife! And said brother was worrying about his wellbeing!
He felt so pathetic that his own brother was more worried about his mental state then his own. He wished Mickey would lean on him more. Sure, he was still recovering but he was his baby brother for stars sake! He was supposed to be there for him especially for something like this! Mickey wouldn't even let him help with his attacks...
"I don't know! Go anywhere but here for longer than 5 minutes!" Donald's horse voice quacked.
"Maybe visit Felix Ozzie, he's always able to put you in a better mood." Mickey spoke a little sheepishly as both duck and mouse tried to usher the rabbit out of the house.
The rabbit's ears flopped. He didn't know if Felix was home, he didn't even have the chance to phone to check. He did have a key, if he wasn't home but that just felt weird to actually use. He didn't really get why he got a key, Felix didn't explain much when he gave it to him. It was probably because Felix liked him.
Heat rose through his cheeks at the thought, it was strange to just contextualise all of Felix' actions with that piece of information. He had his doubts until the confessionโthat he thought about way more than he'd like to admit.
He finally got to the light coloured two-story building. His mind continued to wonder in places he didn't want it to as he knocked on the door. What would Felix even be like as a partner... boyfriend? No stop that! Oswald was practically pulling his ears chastising himself for the thoughts.
The door opened to a slightly disheveled but clearly happy Felix. His fur stuck out in a couple different directions. His shirt was untucked and unbuttoned way lower than Oswald had ever seen the cat have it. A thin tie hung limply around his shoulders. Somehow his vest was still fully buttoned. Felix honestly looked... Really cute.
His lightly flushed face lighting up as his eyes landed on Oswald. He swore that big fanged smile could melt the sun with how bright and warm it always was.
"Ozzie!" The way his nickname rolled off of Felix' tongue make his heart flutter.
His British accent made it sound soft with the z's pronounced as s's. Oswald could listen to the cat's breathy voice for hours.
"Hey Feโ" before the rabbit could finish his sentence he felt a firm grasp pull him inside.
"Hiii," Felix giggled.
Oswald stayed in place, complete shock overcoming his features. Felix, always respectful of Oswald's personal space, being so reluctant to even touch him at timesโhad his arms wrapped loosely around the rabbit's shoulders. He could feel the cat's soft velvety fur against the sides of his neck. Being dragged down to Felix' height their faces were so close. He could smell the familiar smell of... alcohol?
A breeze picked up behind the rabbit pulling him out of his shock. The door was still open, Oswald decided it was probably not for the best for the public to be able to view... whatever was happening here. He was able to hook his foot behind the door and click it shut.
"Have you... been drinking?" Oswald asked, scrunching his nose in confusion.
"Just-just a bit, Sheba invited me to one of her band hangouts, it was more like a party really."
Felix' hands creeped up to tangle themselves into the rabbit's fur. The dark plush fur tangled up in Felix' fingersโslowly, methodically curled and then unraveled. They lightly grazed against his scalp forcing a shiver of pleasure down his spine. Felix was still speaking but Oswald wasn't catching a word of it.
A honking noise escape the rabbit's throat. Oswald pushed Felix away mortified, despite his mind practically yelling at him to go back to the cat's gentle touch. He desperately tried to muffle the sounds by covering his mouth. He hoped Felix had no idea what that noise meant.
Felix' mouth had a little 'oh' before a playful smile spread across his face. He placed his hands behind his back, in one fluid motion he bridged the gap between the two. His hips were cocked to the side, his tail tip swishing back and forth.
"That excited for head scratches, Lucky?" Felix teased.
His large almond shaped eyes were half lidded as he eyed the rabbit for a reaction. Of course Felix knew what those noises meant. He lightly chewed on his lip, every nickname of his Felix said made his stomach do flips. Oswald's face was burning, he liked this more playful side of Felix more than he would like to admit. He always got surprisingly close to Oswald when he was like this. Not that Oswald minded the invasion of his personal space.
He cleared his throat. "I haven't uh, seen the place since you moved in,"
Oswald took the time to actually look around the hallway. There was a hall stand, full of miscellaneous items spilling out of a decorative bowl on it, that drew the rabbit's attention. His flustered expression reflected back at him from the hall stand's mirror.
"How is this already messy? You haven't even had this place for that long," Oswald said amused, pointing to the bowl. "I don't mean that in a judgey way." He waved a hand like he was waving that line of thinking away.
Next to the hall stand was one of those gothic looking metal coat hangers. He took his railroader jacket off, placing it neatly on the rack.
Felix popped down on a short cushioned cabinet, shrugging in a helpless gesture as he did so. A wall mounted rack sat above the cat, Felix' signature fedora and lined coat hanging off it.
Oswald turned back to the hall stand, cleaning up the items spread all over it's surface. He probably should have asked first but... Oswald knew it was gonna bug him too much to leave alone. Oswald always liked his space to be neat and tidy, where everything had its own specific spot.
Watching Oswald, the cat made a nervous, bashful expression, waving his hands side to side. "Ahh, you-you don't have-have to do that!" Felix just looked away sheepishly, stumbling over his words from his clearly drunken state. "I get busy, and then it just ends up piling up."
"It's fine, I don't mind, I find organising and clearing up clutter to be kinda relaxing." Oswald admitted.
Felix gave him a completely befuddled expression. Oswald couldn't help but laugh at it, the way Felix furrowed his brows was way too cute.
Despite that he made no effort to get up from his spot, so Oswald continued. He'd tidied up the bowl, putting all of what Oswald deemed as 'to go' items in it as such keys and... peach flavoured lip balm? Honestly Oswald didn't think Felix was the type to have stuff like that. Guess that explained why the cat always looked nicely groomed despite his adventurous escapades. He made a mental note to check Felix' bathroom to confirm his suspicions.
Picking up a small book he was even more surprised to find a tube of... lipstick? He quickly pocketed it for further investigation later. Oswald was always finding new things out about Felixโwas it just Sheba's? Maybe Holly's? Oswald sighed inwardly. Just when he thought he had the cat all figured out, Felix would throw something at him that would completely throw him off.
As Oswald worked said cat just watched him, one hand rested lazily on his chin, small giggles escaping his lips every few minutes. Oswald took Felix' coat and hat and put them on the coat rack where they belonged. He picked up a few bags just laying on the floor propped up by the hallway furniture, placing them on the hooks that used to occupy the hat and coat. He stacked a couple loose books and random objects from the stand to the self of the mounted rack.
Satisfied, he flopped down next to Felix as he started taking his shoes offโtheir knees touching on the small seat. He placed his shoes on the shoe rack conveniently next to the seat. He noticed a couple pairs of shoes that he could assume belonged to Felix. A pair of worn boots, two tone sport shoes, some classic black dress shoes and now Oswald's wingtip oxfords piled neatly on it.
"Hey, I found this." He pulled the lipstick tube out of his pocket. "Did one of the girls leave it here or..." Oswald trailed off for Felix to fill in the blanks.
"Oh that, I brought this for myself." Felix grabbed the lipstick off Oswald, almost dropping it in the process. The casing was just a simple golden one, he opened the lid to reveal a deep plum colour. "I don't think any of the girls wear anything close to this colour,"
"Why?" Oswald spluttered.
"Weelll you never know who you might meet." Felix leaned closer, gigglingโlike he was telling a secret on the schoolyard with a teasing smile.
Oswald was being thrown through a loop here. It was a unique colour, not one you saw often. It was hard to pull off, it wasn't in fashion either. He glanced at Felix' very soft looking lips. He noticed Felix' dark top lip curved in a bow shape, his bottom lip was heavier and a lighter colour than the top one. His facial fur was neatly trimmed around his features, making them easy to see. Oswald wondered if his lips tasted like peach.
Stars he was staring, to his dismay Felix noticed. He bit his lip, fang grazing the soft peachy coloured flesh.
Felix leaned more foreword before speaking. The smell of a fruity, smokey whisky clung to the cat's hot breath. Adding to his already intoxicating cologne that was unfamiliar to Oswald. It was a bright, minty herbaceous scent with an underlying of jasmine and olive. Oswald's own breath hitched, he had half a mind not to bury himself into the cat's shoulder.
"Do you want to try it?" Felix asked, there was a glint to his eyes Oswald couldn't place the meaning of.
"Try what?"
"The lipstick,"
"Uhhh, sure." Oswald shrugged, he hadn't tried a plum shade of lipstick before.
Felix applied the lipstick, a bit messily to his own lips, honestly he pulled off the colour. Oswald raised an eyebrow, this entire interaction just befuddled him. This all seemed so out of character for his feline friendโmaybe it was the alcohol.
"I thought you were supposed to put it on me,"
Oswald places his hand on the cat's chin, trying to clean up Felix' mistakes with his lack of coordination. Felix made small noices of cat displeasure. The waxy material stubbornly stuck to his fur. He really should have brought his specific fur makeup cleanser, it was impossible to get the stuff out of fur otherwise.
Oswald took a moment to take in Felix' round face and soft features. Oswald was always drawn to the main feature of Felix' faceโhis large, striking, expressionate eyes. He was quite a pretty guy, he really didn't fit into the rigid adventurer stereotype.
Oswald really couldn't help himself, his thumb grazed against Felix' bottom lip. Felix' whole body shivered under his touch. Felix bit his lip roughly, threatening to break skin.
His heterochromic blue and hazel eyes locked with his deep blue ones. Gone was that glint he recognisedโmischievous, playful, the same one Felix gave him the evening Scrooge came over. Replaced by a... what Oswald could only describe as desperation, a deep longing.
Felix tugged him down by his tie. They were so close he could almost feel Felix' whiskers against his face.
Soft lips graced his cheek. Oswald went still, there was no way. Another kiss was placed on his cheek. Oswald's mind was racing, he was in complete disbelief. Felix paused, smiling, he studied the rabbit's face like it was an art piece he was working on.
"I think I could add a few more." The cat hummed.
He pulled Oswald in again to messily pepper his face in kisses. Felix' breathy giggles filled the rabbit's ears. Oswald flailed his arms at the sudden gesture and squeaked in surprise. To his great horror it wasn't a normal squeak but an unmistakably mouse like squeak.
A beat of silence fell over the two. Oswald's face burned for multiple reasonsโhe could feel the warmth reach his ears.
"You squeaked!" Felix said excitedly. "I didn't know-squeak you could squeak!"
Oswald groaned into his hands, he wanted to move away but Felix' grasp on his tie didn't let him.
"Heeyy," Felix let go of his tie, prying Oswald's hands away from his face. "I worked hard on that,"
"Worked hard on what?" Oswald glaced over the mirror across from them, he had to do a double take. Various shades of plum had stained the lighter furโlipstick marks were littered all over his flustered face. "Felix!" Oswald shouted in surprise.
Felix laughed nervously before giving Oswald a sheepish grin. Oswald didn't want to admit he was charmed by it.
"You look very handsome,"
"I can't handle you like this," Oswald whined into his hands.
Me encanta como mini-golden caracteriza a esta pareja, que pena que no este terminado :'3
Thank you! Unfortunately full time study is kicking my ass so I never have the time to actually finish any of my wips but I will be finished in December, so hopefully I can go back to working on my personal stuff. I'm glad you like my characterisation :D. Sometimes I'm worried I write them too out of character cause I have that many headcanons.
