You can paint me any color and I can be your clown
the kids in hsm2 shouldve unionized that country club
ask of the day before I hop off tumblr writing mode
What do you think about Charlotte as a character? Is there anything about her you wish they had done like more backstory and the likes?
I've got some time so let's answer an ask!
I really like Charlotte
I think she's great
I also think the writers may have disagreed
they did very little with her character and despite the fact that for a while she was almost more important to the main plots of episodes we know less about her than Jasper
and that definitely isn't to say Jasper should be known less, but rather we should know more about Char
hmm I wish they had given her more canon interests and hobbies that got screen time and jokes (like for the other characters)
I wish that since she and Jasp have both been shown to have friends who aren't Hen that they mentioned those outside friendships and showed Char's friends more
I wish they showed her friendship with Bysh more and gave that more screentime or mentions
I definitely wish we saw more of what her home life was like, even if it was just off hand mentions like for Jasper, at least so that we knew why she has two beds in her room
overall I think she is very much written in a way to make it harder to really latch onto her because she's not given very much characterization and I wish that was different
if they made her stand out more I feel like love for her would be more abundant (like she deserves)

I Wonder
Hereâs the Sister Twister story as promised in the tags of this post. Genuinely donât know how to put a story up on here and Iâm too lazy to go find out so this is what yâall get.
So many things made sense now. It had been a long day, but now Piper was lying in bed, trying to get some sleep. Her mind was racing, though, and she suspected sheâd be up for a while.
Henry, Piperâs goofy, dorky older brother, was Kid Danger. The revelation had been an enormous shock at the time. But now that sheâd had time to think about it, it made sense.
Piper vaguely remembered when she noticed a change in Henry, almost five years ago. She didnât pay much attention to Henry, but she paid enough to notice something was different. Over the past few years, things had gone on in Henryâs life that Piper had usually dismissed, having no explanation for them. Henryâs constant exhaustion from never getting enough sleep. Henryâs struggles in school even though Piper knew (but wouldnât admit) that Henry was smart enough to breeze through school. And the countless times Henry showed up for dinner or breakfast or got home from work, and he was limping or had bruises or cuts. Henry had been living one of the toughest, most stressful, most draining jobs in the world for years, right under Piperâs nose.
Thinking about just the past day, after she found out about this, Piper could see the signs in Henry. He looked exhausted, as he always did, but he covered it up with fake energy as always. And now that Piper thought about it, she thought Henry had been looking a little thinner than usual the past few weeks. Piper knew that Henry, the twig that he already was, didnât have a weight problem, so she suspected that he hadnât been getting enough to eat. She had noticed that Henryâs shifts at work had been ramping up, and she couldnât remember the last time Henry ate more than one meal with the family, if he was there for any at all. In the same timeframe, Kid Danger and Captain Man had been showing up in the news more and more as crime in Swellview rose.
Heâs so young, Piper thought. She knew he was older than her, but 17 years old was very young for someone to be fighting crime day and night with hardly a break. And heâd been doing this for years. Henry was carrying the weight of the entire city on his shoulders, and he was doing it practically alone, only sharing it with Captain Man.
Piper suddenly felt a deep pang of sadness for her brother. Maybe the nighttime was making her sentimental. What a lonely job it must be. Sure, Henry had Captain Man to fight with, and Jasper and Charlotte behind the scenes, but he didnât have his family or any other friends beside him. From eavesdropping on her parents, Piper knew that they saw Henry as a good kid, for sure, but not too bright because of his performance in school, and extremely scatterbrained because of how in and out, back and forth he was. They loved him, but they didnât see much else. Piper had always known Henry was smart, and had just assured he didnât care enough to try in school. But now she could remember all the mornings when sheâd come down to Henry asleep slumped on the dinner table, surrounded by late schoolwork covered in half-awake scribbles. She could remember nights when sheâd come home late to find Henry on the couch or his bed with his assignments, frantically, desperately racking his brains for answers to his homework, looking exhausted and frustrated. And now she understood. Henry wasnât dumb, he wasnât a procrastinator. He literally wasnât able to learn in school because missed so much of it, and forget having time to get homework done. It was actually a testament to his intelligence that heâd managed to pull through for four years and barely scrape by so he didnât have to repeat a grade.
This job was slowly stripping Henryâs life away from him.
The urge to help Henry welled up in Piper. Sheâd never felt this before. But she knew, deep in her heart, that she needed to find a way to keep Henry from drowning. And he was close to it. He may not complain or show it, but Piper could tell that Henry was growing tired of keeping his head above the water.
Make sure he eats. The thought came unbidden to Piperâs mind, and as soon as she thought it, she knew it was right. There was nothing she could do about Henryâs grades or his horrendous sleep schedule, and she definitely couldnât fight crime, but she could make sure he ate. His thinning frame concerned Piper, and she knew if she was bossy enough, she could get Henry to do practically anything.
-NEXT MORNING-
Henry slept in. No surprise there, heâd had a late night. By the time he stumbled down the stairs in a rumpled shirt, mismatched socks, and one shoe on and the other in his hand, backpack dragging behind him, it was time to go to school. Piper watched Henry look at the time, shrug, then sit on the couch to put his second shoe on. Done with that, he ran a hand through his hair to semi-tame it, and swung his bag onto his back.
âWhat about breakfast?â Piper asked.
Henry looked back at her, stifling a yawn. âAhh, Iâm fine. Iâll just have something during lunch.â
âYou didnât have dinner last night. Here,â she tossed him a bag sheâd gotten ready when she got up, âeat this on your way.â In the bag was a bagel, an apple, and a granola bar. Not perfect, but it was something.
A very confused look crossed Henryâs face. He opened his mouth to say something, probably to comment on Piper being nice, but decided against it. âOkay,â he replied simply. âThanks.â
Over the next few weeks, Piper still made fun of Henry, teased him, pestered him, just like she always did, but she also silently watched him. As often as she could without making Henry too suspicious, she made sure he ate. She was sad to find that Henryâs sleep schedule was worse than Piper though, him being lucky to even make it back to his bed before sunrise. He would often end up sleeping on the couch in the Man Cave, too tired to make the trip back home. But, thanks to Piperâs efforts, he stopped getting thinner, at the very least.
There were still moments when Henry annoyed the heck out of Piper, and moments when she made sure to do the same back to him. But now, she felt an undercurrent of satisfaction that sheâd found a way to help Henry in a way he clearly wasnât going to help himself. Now, she could bug him all she wanted, knowing that he was well-fed if nothing else.
I love when they move in synchđĽş
