The Sick Turn
I'm the jagged piece of the circle
When your best friends fall in love, you’re supposed to be happy for them. But the what the fuck are you meant to feel when you’ve fallen in love with the both of them?
Charlotte-centric fic !
So feeling like you’re dying and heartbreak are the same feeling.
Charlotte Paige comes to find this out in a horrible way, on a random rainy summer afternoon.
She had no idea that the phrase, “Love is a killer,” was so literal.
“Y- You’re… dating each other?” She asks again slowly.
Facing the two boys standing in front of her. The two boys who she had unknowingly given her whole heart to, and here they were. Smashing it to pieces without even realizing it.
Henry nods happily, his hand clutched in Jasper’s.
Charlotte can’t stop staring at it. Nausea was rolling through her stomach, and she couldn’t breathe.
“Yeah! It- it happened last night at the Man Cave!”
Charlotte frowns now, because she had been at the Man Cave last night too. She definitely would have noticed if there had been any love confessions going on.
She would have.
“When? I was there the whole time,” she crosses her arms.
They glance at each other. Then look back at her.
“No offense Char, but you’re kinda oblivious.” Henry laughs at her.
Her frown and hurt grows deeper, weighing more heavily on her than she had realized.
Charlotte manages to strangle out,
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“We haven’t been hiding it, you’ve just never noticed,” Jasper shrugs.
She freezes for a second. The horrible sinking feeling in her gut grows deeper.
The images clipped and chopped but they were there in the back of her mind. She had just thought… well it doesn’t matter what Charlotte thinks now.
“S- so, you’re going to be publicly dating Kid Danger as well?” She can feel her hands shaking beneath her arms.
They both rapidly shake their heads, Henry holding up his hands now.
“No! No! We’re gonna… cross that bridge when and if we come to it.” Henry pulls Jasper in for a quick kiss.
Something shatters inside her.
Charlotte numbly nods her head, her heart threatening to fall out of her chest right there. She grits her teeth against the tears filling her eyes involuntarily.
“Well, um. Congrats to you both! We’ll go get ice cream or something, yeah? A- anyways, I gotta go water my… cat. Bye!” She runs to the tube, clicking her belt before either of them could say a word.
She wasn’t going to cry, she wasn’t going to cry. Charlotte told herself as she shot up the tube. Charlotte clambers her way out, rushing to her car and getting in. The girl had no illusions that they didn’t take notice of her behavior.
But when tears streamed down her face when she drove home. She really couldn't bring herself to care all that much.
Charlotte runs up to her bedroom, throwing herself on her bed and finally just letting herself completely fall apart.
She had stupidly gone and thought that they were flirting with her too the entire time!
All the times where they held her, they would cuddle with her. They would calm her after she had a panic attack, she was always, always pressed against one of their chests. One of her boys would murmur nonsensical things into her ears until she had calmed down.
They wouldn’t talk about it, or bring it up, but they would always kiss her cheeks right after them.
What the fuck was all that then?
Fuck, they would call her babe, baby and they didn’t act like that with anyone else! She couldn’t be crazy, and made all that up in her head right?!
Her body was racked with sobs, she clawed at her pillow relentlessly.
She had noticed the hushed conversations around her lately, but she had foolishly thought… maybe the boys were working up the courage to tell her how they felt about her!
This would be so much easier if she hadn’t fallen in love with the both of them. But, how could she not?
Henry and his selfless loyalty, his warm brown eyes. His smile that could rival the fucking sun. Jasper and his gentle, but sweet nature. His shoulders were so broad that he could just wrap around her.
Charlotte always felt so safe with them both.
What the fuck was she supposed to do?
Charlotte’s very aware she can’t ever react like how she did today. They were probably already thinking the worst of her.
Was there truly no room for her? Was she always destined to be on the sidelines while everyone else fell in love around her?
Truly was she that unlovable that the two closest people to her, didn’t want her?
She’s gasping for air now, and choking on her spit.
Charlotte knows she has to get a hold of herself, she has to be strong. But she didn’t want to be strong right now.
How the fuck was she supposed to deal with this? She worked with both of them! It was hard enough when they weren’t even together yet, but now she has to witness it?!
She cries until she can’t anymore, silent sobs wracking her body.
Charlotte only knew one thing for sure, they couldn’t ever find out about how she felt about them. If she ever was to hurt them or their relationship, she could never forgive herself for it.
The curly haired girl falls restlessly asleep, the silence of her empty house was her only comfort for the night.
She had long since turned her phone off, chucking it across the room.
Charlotte wakes up, head pounding, and throat sand paper dry.
Fuck, she so didn’t want to go to work today. But since she almost never calls off, she can’t do that.
She groans, rubbing at her eyes, searching for her phone. Her stomach sinks when she notices all the missed calls from her—no, the boys.
Her heart clenches so painfully in her chest she gasps. She falls to her knees, head bowed. Trembling arms wrapped around herself. The raw pain kept her to the floor.
Black spots are studding her vision, and— fuck she can’t have a panic attack now. Counting slowly to ten over and over again, breathing deeply through her nose, Charlotte manages to get ahold of herself.
She would get through this, and who knows? Maybe… maybe this would be short lived and over with. Then they can all go back to normal, well normal for them.
It was not short lived, much to Charlotte’s horror.
It had been an excruciating five months for her. She hasn’t slept properly in weeks. Every time she closes her eyes, she just sees them together. In a way she was never meant to be with them.
Charlotte also feels like she’s constantly walking on eggshells with Jasper and Henry.
She doesn’t know how to act around them anymore. What’s appropriate, and what’s not. Lines have always been blurred for them.
So now, she never tries to initiate contact with them. Physical, anyways.
Charlotte also never goes out of her way to hang out alone with them anymore, she’s sure they’ve noticed. But if they did, they haven’t said anything to her, being too wrapped up in each other.
Charlotte didn’t know that the honeymoon phase lasted this long, but hey. What does she know? She's never been loved.
Also, it’s not like she could just cut them out of her life all together. They were too entwined with each other. She wouldn’t even know where to begin.
Charlotte couldn’t make herself do that anyways.
She didn’t want to.
The black haired girl feels like she’s never happy anymore. She’s always so fucking tired.
Charlotte never feels warm anymore.
Who knew heartbreak would suck this fucking much?
But, right now she finds herself at a random house party. Not usually her scene, but Henry was invited so of course Charlotte and Jasper came along.
She hasn’t seen a trace of them since she noticed Henry’s eyes getting dark looking at Jasper on the dance floor. That was her cue to find herself a very strong drink or five maybe, she can’t be sure anymore.
She wobbled from room to room laughing to herself, stupid drunk, just wanting her boys.
The girl desperately wanted to go home, and drunkenly watch some trash TV. But she couldn’t currently do that because she couldn’t find them.
Charlotte yelps loudly in surprise as she suddenly finds herself violently pinned to the wall.
Some guy, who was way larger than her, was drunk and slurring into her face.
“P- please let me go,” Her head was spinning, she just wanted her, —the boys.
“Nah baby, you look way too fine to just walk past me. How about we get to know each other a little bit, hm?” He starts nosing against her neck.
Charlotte’s breathing turns shallow and now she starts trying to harshly shove the guy off of her.
“Get the fuck off of me!” She’s struggling against him.
“Aw, don’t be like that doll, I’m just playing with you.” His hands squeeze her wrists tighter.
Charlotte gasps in pain, tears springing to her eyes.
“I said get off-” He’s suddenly violently yanked back from her, another body coming to shield her instantly.
“Char? Hey Char, can you hear me?” Her glazed eyes struggle to meet their face.
“J- Jasp?” She slurs, blinking against the flashing and strobing lights.
“Fuck, how much did you drink? Are you okay?” Jasper is touching her face, making Charlotte feel way too much.
“D- don’t,” she scoots back from him.
Jasper’s eyes flash with pain. He instantly backs up and holds his hands up placidly.
“Hey, I’m not- I’d never hurt you Charlotte,” he breathes out.
She can’t stop herself from laughing bitterly. Her arms wrapping her body tightly. Charlotte hates when she’s drunk like this.
Charlotte has no fucking filter.
“Yeah, good one.” She’s swaying back and forth now.
Jasper’s face shifts through too many emotions for Charlotte to figure out, but she was too drunk to care.
“Where’s your boyfriend?” Charlotte glances over his shoulder, Jasper shifts mutely so she can’t see anything.
“He’s dealing with something right now. Here, drink some water C.” He gently puts a bottle in her hands.
She sips it, sagging against the wall tiredly.
“I’m sorry, we shouldn’t have left you alone. It was rude of us,” Jasper guiltily glances over at his best friend.
“I get it, I mean hey, if I had a hot boyfriend I’d do the same thing,” Charlotte laughs a little too hard, sloshing her water over the sides.
Jasper winced slightly, chewing the inside of his cheek. He faces her again to see she's slipping almost sideways across the wall.
“Careful,” He steadies her, cupping Charlotte’s hand in his.
She looked down at his hand, he twisted his so she was holding Jasper’s hand. He gives her a soft squeeze, tugging her a bit closer to him.
Her dark eyes find his own blue ones, she can’t seem to bring herself to look away from him.
It suddenly feels like the air is thick and sizzling with tension rippling between them.
He leans in closer, his eyes tracing her face quietly.
God, he’s so fucking pretty, she helplessly thought, looking up into those piercing blue eyes.
“Thank you,” He raises his eyebrow at her quizzically.
She sighs out a breathless laugh, clarifying what she meant.
“For saving me from that dickhead,” his best friend whispers to him, her hand tightening around his.
“Why wouldn’t we? You’re ours.” Jasper’s voice lowers on the last word.
Her breath catches, and Charlotte feels like she’s dreaming.
“Yours-” She starts to say, but then suddenly Henry’s there.
“Char? Are you okay?” He’s got a red mark on his cheek, his shirt slightly askew. But he looks good other than that.
“I’m fine,” Whatever spell Jasper and Charlotte had been in instantly broke.
She winces, stepping back from Jasper, quickly dropping his hand.
“Good, let’s get the hell outta here then,” Henry grabs them both, pulling them towards the door.
His touch is searing against her bare skin, and she might actually lose her mind if he keeps touching her.
Since Henry’s Super Fast Reflexes burn through calories so fast, it’s nearly impossible for him to get drunk. So, he’s driving them home safely, music playing softly in the background.
Charlotte’s head is leaned against the window, the cool glass feeling like heaven to her flushed skin. Henry and Jasper are murmuring under their breath to each other.
“Hey Char?” Henry turns the corner to her house.
“Hm? What’s up H?” She sighs, her eyes closed.
“Did you want us to stay with you tonight? You’re never usually this… drunk. It would just make me feel better if we did. But, it’s up you babe.”
Charlotte wrenches her eyes open to see Jasper looking back at her concern all over his face.
“Don’t you—aren’t you both wanting space from me?” She mumbles out, her heart aches deep in her chest.
Jasper now looks very confused, his eyes darting back to Henry to her again.
“What? What are you talking about?” Henry asks.
The teenager girl has no filter when she’s drunk, so she bluntly says,
“Well, don’t you both wanna go home and fuck?”
She yelps as the car is suddenly jerked to the side wildly, her head bashing the window painfully.
“Fucking — ow,” she groaned, and damnit that just instantly made her want to puke.
“Shit, s- sorry. Shit, I’m so sorry, uh. Are you good?” Henry’s voice is high pitched with embarrassment.
“Just get me home in one piece please,” Charlotte wearily answered.
“C- Char, we love you. We care about you. T- That’s why we wanna stay,” Jasper stammers, clearly thrown off by her previous answer.
She has to physically dig her fingernails into her thighs to stop herself from doing or saying anything stupid to Jasper’s answer.
“Yeah,” she whispered, looking out the window, a silent tear rolling down her face. “Yeah, you can stay,”
They don’t say anything else to her, Henry quietly pulling into her driveway. Jasper instantly hopped out, and opened her door for her.
Charlotte nearly tumbles straight into the pavement, had it not been for her boys. Henry simply sweeps her up into his arms, princess carrying her the rest of the way.
“You never wanna carry anyone though,” She grins goofily up at him.
Henry smiles back down at her,
“I guess you should consider yourself pretty special then, hm?” He leans down to playfully nip her nose.
She giggles, batting him away.
They get inside, Jasper keeping a steady hand on Henry’s back as they carefully walk up the stairs.
“Also, I really do think that mermaids exist, because did you know that like, 90% of the oceans haven’t been explored? Like, how can they not exist right?! It’s where the fucking aliens are!” Charlotte was mindlessly blabbing as they got her ready for bed.
“Yeah, sure Char you’re right,” Jasper smiled down at her, unable to stop himself from brushing his thumb across her check fondly.
It’s a feather light touch that sends electricity shooting across her body.
She stops mid sentence to just stare up at him.
Henry, who had been busying himself with finding her comfy clothes, looks up curiously at the sudden silence.
“Fuck, I’m so in love with you J.” She breathes out.
Charlotte’s quiet confession tore through the room.
Both their mouths drop open, pure shock painted all over their faces. Henry drops the clothes he was holding. Before they could say or do anything about it, she’s pushing Jasper back.
Her face does something complicated, and she’s running out of the room.
“Char?!” They throw each other a wild look and chase after her.
When they finally catch up to her, she’s puking her guts up in her bathroom.
“Awh C,” Jasper coos, going to hold her hair back.
Henry helps by grabbing a washcloth, and rinsing it with some warm water.
“Fucking hate drinking,” she gargles out between spitting.
Jasper nods his head in agreement, his hand never stopping its soothing movement on her back.
Henry can’t stop staring at it.
“Do you feel any better?” Jasper softly asks her after a couple of minutes.
“Y- yeah, can you both like, get out for a minute? Please?” She pants, wobbling to the sink.
They nod, closing the door behind her.
“Did Char just-”
“-So does she-”
They both stop and stare at each other.
For once, Henry genuinely doesn’t know what to say to Jasper. He doesn’t know what he should think, or how he should even feel.
“I’m… gonna go get her clothes,” Henry quickly turns away back to her room.
Jasper groans quietly under his breath, his hands rubbing tiredly over his face.
“…Jasper? Can you help me please?” Charlotte’s quiet voice startles him.
He whirls around, seeing her biting her lip and looking up at him with those big brown eyes.
Fuck, she’s so adorable. Jasper thought endearingly.
“Yeah C, whaddya need?” He steps into the room with her.
“Can you wrap my hair up for me? I’d do it myself, but I’m a little… unsteady,” she laughs, stumbling over her feet a bit.
Jasper laughs under his breath, stepping forward and taking her bonnet for her.
“Yeah, I gotcha babe,” he reaches up, carefully tying her bonnet for her.
Her hands come to rest on his waist, Jasper gulps, barely keeping his eyes on her hair.
“Jasp, you’re the best, you know that? I know I don’t tell you enough, but you are.” She smiles at him.
Jasper blushes, shaking his head.
“I’m not all that much to brag about Char,”
She gasps, nearly head butting him when she stutters toward.
“Yes you are! I’ll fight anyone who says anything bad about my Jasper!” She has that look on her face.
He bites his lip, stopping his laughter.
“Okay, okay Char,” he soothes her.
She nods, her lip jutted out. He can’t stop his eyes from glancing down at them. She follows his movement, herself doing the same thing.
“Char,” he murmurs.
She’s still staring at his lips though. Jasper knows they are in very dangerous territory. He knows that there’s things he absolutely needs to talk to Henry about.
But there she is, standing there in his shirt.
So he steps forward, unable to help himself. Maybe he’s drunker than he originally thought.
“You won’t remember anything tomorrow, so when I tell you I’m so in love with you I can’t fucking breathe sometimes, you need to know I mean it.” He whispered into her ear.
Jasper moved away from her ear so he could lean down slightly to press his lips to her forehead gently.
Charlotte looks up at him, her big brown eyes watery,
“‘M’not gonna remember that though,” her voice is small and caught.
Jasper gives her a heartbreaking smile,
“I know C,”
She sniffs, wiping at her eyes.
“Y- You’re really fucking cruel, you know that?” Charlotte whispers.
Jasper lets a thin smile slip,
“Yeah I’m aware Char,”
He steps back, guiding her out of the bathroom, into her bedroom. Henry’s there, making sure he’s arranged her pillows exactly how she likes.
Jasper helps her into bed, squeezing her hand once.
“Get some rest C,” he whispers.
Henry nods, patting her cheek softly.
She shakily smiles at them, before hunkering down into her nest of blankets.
Jasper sighs, pulling the rest of his clothes off and plopping down into the other bed. Henry watches him carefully.
“Baby,” Henry starts, then stops, looking unsure of himself.
Jasper inches closer to him, bumping their noses together softly.
“We’ll talk about it in the morning, yeah?” He finds Henry’s hand under the blanket.
He gives him a squeeze, before falling asleep. Jasper pulled him closer, and soon fell asleep himself.
Charlotte woke up, her head throbbing, the room spinning wildly.
Fuck, what did she do last night?
She rolls over, her stomach churning unpleasantly.
“Argh,” She groans out, two sets of hair pop up from her other bed.
“Char?” Henry mumbles, rubbing a hand across his face.
“M’here,” She clutches her stomach as another wave of nausea hits her.
“Here, lemme just-” Both boys scramble over themselves to get to her.
Henry manages it first, Jasper defeated, sits back on the bed.
A trash can is thrust under her nose, which she’s insanely grateful for because a second later, she’s puking her guts up.
“Fuck,” the tired girl flops back on the bed, giving herself a second.
“You okay?” She opens her mouth to answer, but Henry’s watch starts beeping shrilly.
Charlotte loudly whines, and grabs for a pillow, wrenching it over her head.
Henry lets out a deep tired sigh, reluctantly flipping his watch open.
“Good morning Henry! I need you and Charlotte to come to the Man Cave. I have a mission and it needs you both!” Ray screams from his side of the watch.
Charlotte rapidly starts shaking her head from underneath her pillow.
She did not want any part of whatever this was. Especially not now.
“Uh, yeah. I don’t think Charlotte is really-” Henry’s eyes flashed over to her worriedly.
“Don’t care! Just be here, or I will end you all!” He clicks off.
Henry sighs, tiredly walking over to Charlotte.
“Char-” He starts to say, rubbing her back.
“No, I feel like actual fucking death. I really don’t wanna go in today Haz,” She whines.
“C, babe. You heard what he said, and you know him. He won’t quit bothering you until you’ve shown up.” Henry gently murmurs.
“Can’t you cover for me, please?” She gives him her best puppy eyes.
Henry groans, looking away from her, knowing he would cave if he looked back at her.
“You know I would if I could C,”
She sighs deeply, knowing he’s right. That’s just how their job is. She slams her darker thoughts about it into the back of her mind, and pushes herself up.
“It better not be anything stupid, like reading him a fucking story.” Charlotte grumbles under her breath, and stumbles her way into the bathroom.
Henry looks back at Jasper. He knows Charlotte’s confession from last night is still hanging in the air.
“About last night, baby… what are we going to do?” Henry whispers, crossing the room to him.
Jasper sighs, shaking his head.
“I… I don’t know. She doesn’t even remember telling me that.”
“Are you—I mean, do you have… feelings… for… her?” Henry’s eyes are concentrated on the plush rug.
Jasper doesn’t say anything for a few minutes. They felt like an eternity for Henry.
“G- got it,” Henry slips his hand away.
“It’s not— I mean, I don’t. I don’t feel anything for her. I only love you, it’s only ever been you for me Haz.” Jasper desperately grabs his hand again.
Henry still doesn’t meet his eyes, so Jasper turns his head gently to face him.
“I love you,” Jasper firmly says, his eyes unwavering.
Henry tentatively smiles back at him, his big dark brown eyes still unsure.
Jasper leans forward to connect their lips together passionately. Henry eventually pulls away, slightly gasping. His cheeks flushed a dark red.
“We’ll figure this out okay? I promise.” Jasper whispers, tapping their foreheads together.
Henry nods once, before pulling away and getting ready. Jasper follows behind making small talk with his boyfriend.
Charlotte finally comes out of the bathroom, looking way less like death. They both smile at her, not thinking as they usher her into the middle of their arms.
Something settles in both of the boys, having her pressed against them like this.
“Feeling any better?” Henry murmurs.
She groans, shaking her head against his broad chest. There’s that warmth she’s been desperately missing for months.
“Not really, I still feel like shit, and I have no energy for Ray today.” Allowing herself a slip of weakness, she lets herself burrow a tiny bit further into Henry’s chest.
They squeezed her tighter, before pulling away a tiny bit so they could look at her. Charlotte bites back the whine in throat when she feels them retreat from her.
“We’ll get you some greasy food on the way, and some head medicine, promise.” Jasper smiles down at her.
She shyly nods, finally unable to take their position, quickly breaking out from the small huddle.
I can’t have that anymore, Charlotte sternly reminds herself.
Despite her body screaming at her, to just dive back into their inviting so fucking warm embrace and never leave.
“L- let’s get going then, you heard Ray. He’ll end us,” she rolls her eyes, leaving the room in an instant.
Henry and Jasper share a guilty look and follow her out quietly. Jasper and Henry share a quick kiss goodbye before they head down, Charlotte darts her eyes away from the sight.
They get to the Man Cave seeing Ray casually scrolling through his phone, Schwoz was tinkering with some random device across the room.
“Okay, we’re here. What do you want?” Charlotte tonelessly asked, sitting in her chair.
Her head was throbbing, and the bright lights weren’t helping. Thankfully the food and medicine the boys bought her was settling her stomach some.
“I need you and Henry to go on a date with each other!” Ray cheerfully puts his phone down, giving them his full attention.
“No,” She sharply says, crossing her arms tightly.
Maybe if Charlotte held herself together tight enough, she could stop herself from falling and crushing into a million pieces.
Her breakfast is in her throat.
“I’m in a relationship, so no dude.” Henry shakes his head at the same time.
Charlotte does her best to ignore the deep throb of heartbreak she’s so familiar with these days. She wordlessly grips herself tighter.
“Okay! Dramatic. First it’s not a real date, and secondly it’s for a mission. I need you guys to infiltrate a restaurant because I know the crime boss, called The Elderly Swindler, is running it. He’s selling expired meat on the side to old people, so we have to stop him.” He steeples his fingers together.
“And I can’t go undercover with my boyfriend… why?” Henry raises an unamused eyebrow.
“They uh, they don’t like… gay… couples.” Ray mumbles out, his eyes darting away.
Henry scoffs loudly and angrily,
“If they don’t like me and boyfriend, then I’m sure as fuck never stepping foot in that place!”
Charlotte supportively nods along with him. No matter much it hurt her to do so.
“Henry! C’mon please! I have a really good plan! I’ll even pay for a date for you and Jasper if you do this! Please?” Ray begs, grabbing the front of Henry’s shirt.
“Ray I-” Henry’s eyes find Charlotte.
She looks terrified.
If he hadn’t heard her confession last night, he wouldn’t have noticed.
Charlotte was almost too good at keeping her expressions clear, but he knew his best friend.
He saw her breathing pick up slightly, Charlotte was holding herself so tightly it looked painful. His best friend wouldn’t meet his gaze, finding the floor much more interesting. She’s like a trembling leaf on the wind with how hard she’s shaking.
“Look, it’s only for a couple of hours and if you don’t see the guy, you can leave!” Ray’s violently shaking him back and forth now.
“Okay! Okay! Get off me man! Geez.” Henry throws his arms off.
Charlotte tries to take a deep steadying breath. It rattles her lungs enough to the point where she feels she can’t breathe.
She feels like she’s floating very far away from her body currently.
“I gotta go to the bathroom,” She wobbles up.
“Wait, Char-” Henry reaches for her but she dodges him.
Quickly leaving the room, finding the bathroom. She locks the door, sliding to the floor, her head buried in her hands.
Why would Ray do this to her? Why would Henry agree to it?! Any of it?! What the actual hell was Jasper going to think about this? They could’ve figured something else out. Anything other than this!
She’s shaking horribly.
Charlotte will simply have to go out there, and say she can’t do that to Jasper, which was true, but it might be enough to get Ray to change his mind.
She can’t go on a fake date with Henry, that would destroy any last shreds of control she had and Charlotte would break entirely and stupidly blurt out how she felt about him.
Charlotte would ruin everything and she couldn’t have that.
As much as she hates to admit it, they are her entire world, she can’t lose them.
She drags in a deep breath, managing to get ahold of herself enough to stumble up to the sink. Splashing some water on her face, Charlotte sets her mind to auto pilot.
Trying to return to the place where she can’t feel anything but an icy numbness spreading through her veins.
Opening the door, Charlotte fucking screams when she sees Jasper and Henry both standing outside of it. A trembling hand is shot to her chest, she’s breathing in erratic bursts.
“Wh- what the hell are you both doing?!” She gasps out.
Their eyes were wide as if they didn’t expect to surprise her, which she can’t figure out how they thought that. They share a single brain cell sometimes, she swears.
“We- we wanted to talk about the mission, y’know without Ray breathing down our necks.” Henry anxiously shuffles his feet.
Charlotte’s heart is pounding wildly in her chest.
“W- What about it? If- if you aren’t comfortable with m- me doing it, we can figure something else out,” She tries to nonchalantly say.
Charlotte figures Henry had filled Jasper in, and that’s why he’s here. It didn’t make her feel any less panicked.
“Char, we have no problems with it being you. We just… we wanna make sure you’re okay with this,” Henry worriedly replies.
Charlotte hates how much she loves them both, because of course they would make sure she’s okay.
How can the kindest, simplest gestures of theirs make her heart roar like a fucking hurricane?
She nervously plays with a strand of curly hair between her fingers.
“I don’t… exactly have a c- choice in this do I? Unless you want to go on a fake date with a random girl, I mean,” she helplessly shrugs at them.
“Char,” Henry murmured softly.
“Don’t worry, I won’t try and steal him from you!” An uncomfortable silence follows after her statement.
She doesn’t know why the fuck she even said that.
“Right… um, look, you're my best friend. So the moment you want the mission over, we’ll go, okay?” Henry firmly stated.
Charlotte chances a glance over at Jasper, and he won’t meet her eyes.
“I, um, are you sure this is a good idea? M- maybe finding someone else really is the best way to go,” she desperately wanted him to say yes.
Jasper, however, shakes his head resolutely.
“No, no this is the best idea. I’d… rather it be you too, than some random girl.”
His voice convinces no one. But, they didn’t have another plan.
“O- Okay…” she finds herself saying.
Her brain is screaming at her, telling her this is a very bad idea.
This would be her own personal hell.
“C’mon, let’s go see what that crazy man has in store for us,” Henry herds them back down to the Man Cave.
They return, Ray smirking at the three of them.
“Finished your little lovers spat?” He croons.
Charlotte feels a sharp pain shoot through her chest, and she tries her best to roll her eyes through it.
“Shut up Ray, just tell us the mission,” she snaps.
It was a special kind of cruelty, hearing Ray lay out their fake date. It’s everything Charlotte would’ve wanted if she had the chance to take them out.
The pain in her chest is growing to be almost unbearable. This was a horrible idea.
“Okay! Okay! We get it! Basically just act like a regular couple and see if we find the dude.” Charlotte couldn’t take it anymore and finally stops Ray’s ranting.
“Oh! Don’t forget to kiss! They’re very observant. Now go get ready!” He pushes them towards Schwoz who has their outfits for them.
“I’m not going to kiss-” Henry’s voice is overpowered by Schwoz’s yammering.
They come back out an hour later, and Jasper’s jaw nearly drops to the ground. They both look so fucking good, he’s going to lose his goddamned bisexual mind.
Charlotte is in a white sequined dress, they look like fish scales slightly, and they’re slightly iridescent when they catch the light. Her hair is twisted back away from her face.
Henry was in a black suit with a small pink bow tie. His hair had some curls in it.
“I- wow. Um,” Jasper felt like an idiot just standing there.
Henry rubs the back of his neck bashfully, refusing to look at Charlotte for more than five seconds.
“Now! I’ll be across the street, and don’t forget! The code word is: Cheddar. Now, go to your date!” Ray quickly ushers them on the tub pad.
“Wait Jasper-” Henry’s sentence is cut off by him being rushed up the tube.
“Hopefully, they’ll buy it.” Jasper mutters to himself.
Ray shoots him a mean look,
“Well I don’t know why they wouldn’t. Everyone knows Henry’s been in love with Charlotte since forever. Even I know that- what?” He looks at Schwoz who’s been repeatedly slapping his arm.
Jasper can’t form a single thought.
“What did you just say?” He faintly asks.
Ray gives him that look when he knows he’s revealed something he shouldn't have.
“Look at that! I gotta go!” Ray races to the tube, slamming his hand over his belt.
“Wait-” Jasper reaches out, but Ray’s gone.
He turns back to Schwoz.
“Is it true?” He quietly muttered.
“I- ah look! Halley needs me!” Schwoz races to the other exit behind the wall.
Jasper can’t fucking breathe.
Meanwhile Henry can’t bring himself to look at Charlotte without losing his mind.
They were standing outside the restaurant in line for a minute.
A new, very uncomfortable feeling was blooming in Henry’s chest, and he didn't know what to do with himself.
This is ridiculous, he thought to himself sternly. It’s just Charlotte, who you’ve known since childhood. You literally just saw her projectile vomit last night.
“Uh, you- you look nice, Char.” He awkwardly stammered out, feeling his ears get hot.
He doesn’t know why…
She flashes him a small quick half smile that didn’t meet her eyes.
“Thanks Haz, y- you too,”
Henry suddenly can’t recall the last time he’s actually seen her smile.
He’s not sure why that bothered him as much as it did.
He doesn’t know what to say to her after, awkwardly fiddling with his hands. They go to move scoot up in line, when someone harshly bumped into Henry’s back causing him to stumble into Charlotte.
They nearly topple over, Henry’s insanely fast reflexes steadying them both before she could even comprehend what was happening.
“Fuck, are you okay?” He’s scanning her over, his eyes never leaving hers.
“F- fine,” she stuttered out, her heart pounding in her throat.
His broad hand stayed on her back as he guided them forwards. Charlotte did her best to ignore the warmth she felt emitting from him on her bare skin.
How much she had missed it, Charlotte didn’t give herself a moment to think about it.
They finally get to the entrance, the hostess giving them a nasty glance over.
“Name?” He sneered.
Henry, already on edge, bared his teeth right back at him.
“Manchester,” Henry snapped.
He threw another nasty look at them, before ushering them in.
“Someone will be with you, probably.” With that he walks off.
Charlotte rolled her eyes, already wanting to leave.
Henry sneers at his back, turning back to face her.
“I’d kill for some wings right now,” he smiles crookedly at her.
She huffs out a laugh, her eyes scanning the restaurant for their perp.
“So, uh, any ideas on what you’ll do if you catch him?” Charlotte drums her fingers rapidly on the table.
Henry shrugs, settling back in his seat.
“Probably pop a gumball, knock him out. The usual,”
She nods jerkily, glancing around again. Her leg keeps bouncing rapidly from underneath the table, and her hands fiddling anxiously. Henry frowns as he glances over at her and notices her restless fidgeting.
“Are you ok-” he’s rudely interrupted by a menu being thrust in his face.
“Here! Specials are at the bottom, and it’s our restaurant policy to prove to us you’re a couple.” A tall white bald man stands above them.
“What?” Henry snaps up at him.
“You have to prove to us you’re a couple.” He repeats every word in a biting tone.
“Can’t we just order our food?” Charlotte sighs tiredly.
“Yes, at another restaurant.” He smirks.
“You don’t believe we’re a real couple?” Henry says in disbelief.
“We have other couples waiting to get in here, boy. So either comply with our policy or leave,” he snarks.
“Your policy is stupid, we just want to order.” She cannot deal with this right now.
“Then you can leave,” He sneers.
Henry and Charlotte throw a panicked glance at each other, knowing they can’t afford to be kicked out.
“This is so fucking stupid, Char c’mere.” Henry groans.
Without even thinking he leaned across the table, cupping her check in his hand, planting a delicate kiss on her lips.
Stars dance across his vision, fireworks explode in his chest, and oh that’s why he couldn’t look at Charlotte earlier.
Why her confession to Jasper and not him as well unnerved Henry so much. It felt like finally waking up from a long nap, but he’s been halfway awake this whole entire time.
He’s in love with her. He’s always been in love with her.
Charlotte slams back into her chair, her head spinning.
She doesn’t remember what she tells the man what she wanted to eat, a horrible silence ensues after his departure.
“I- I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that.” Henry murmurs, his eyes unable to meet hers.
His head is reeling from his sudden revaluation and his heart is pounding in his chest. What the fuck is he supposed to do now?
The dark curly haired girl doesn’t say anything back to him for a minute, too stunned to speak.
“W- why would you do that?” Charlotte finally finds her voice, dark brown eyes wide and broken.
“C- Can we talk about this later? Please?” He scans the restaurant again for their man, just wanting this entire mission to be over with.
“We need to talk— isn’t that him?” She cuts herself off, seeing the man from the corner of her eye.
Henry subtly moves his head, nodding once.
“Yeah, I see him. I’ll be back,” without another glance back at the table, Henry moves to a private area to transform.
She wants to run as far away as possible, but she can’t. Stuck here with the two boys she’s drowning in her love for.
Charlotte doesn’t move with the crowd that was moving to leave, instead she chooses to hide in a little alcove behind the wall.
She knows—Charlotte knows this is stupid, unsafe, flat out reckless, but she doesn’t care.
Watching Henry fight was mesmerizing to her, and she’d take every chance she got.
The dark skinned girl doesn't make a sound as Henry fights off the Boss’s goons, his reflexes being too fast for her eyes to follow.
One after another they dropped, Henry barely even breaking a sweat it seemed.
God, he was just so fucking beautiful.
That pain in her chest returned, and as much as she doesn’t want to, she thinks about Henry kissing her earlier.
It wasn’t long, or very passionate of a kiss, but she still can’t get the feeling of his lips on hers out of her head.
Why had he done that? He could’ve chosen to kiss her anywhere else but there.
Charlotte just wants everything to stop hurting so fucking much. Her bruised and battered heart could only take so much.
Henry finished up the mission with taunting The Elderly Swindler, making him so mad he ended up trying to charge at Henry, who just zapped him with his laser unconscious, he looked down at him, unimpressed.
Charlotte watches Henry sweep the room one last time, and she doesn't turn away quickly enough. He catches her eye.
His eyes widen a fraction, before jerking his head discreetly to the side. She nods back at him, knowing it was safe enough for her to finally leave.
Henry however, or rather Kid Danger, gets to her first. His long legs crossed the distance easily. He looks pissed.
“What the fuck were you thinking Char? Why the fuck did you stay in resturant when you should’ve left with everyone else?” Henry’s eyes are dark, his face more serious than she’s ever seen him.
“I-” Words had completely abandoned her.
“Charlotte, you’ve been here long enough to know not to pull this kind of shit! I mean, Piper maybe, but you?! Why, why would you do that?” He’s breathing raggedly, doing his best not to grab her, and shake her desperately by her shoulders.
“Me?! What about you? Why did you kiss me?!” The words flew out of her mouth before she could stop them.
“Hmm?” Henry does the thing where he heard you, but he doesn’t know or more importantly want to know what you’re talking about.
“You heard me! Why did you kiss me?” Charlotte nearly yells.
“It was for the mission! I apologized for it! You stayed back, and could’ve gotten hurt or… or killed! How is that even close to the same thing?” Henry snaps back just as loud.
“You said you wouldn’t! Why would you do that to me? You always do this Henry! You never think anything through in your life! You just fucking hurt people without realizing it, because you’re so fucking dumb!” Her voice broke on a sob.
Henry’s anger instantly melted away, replaced with something nastier, oilier, filling his veins. He flashes back to last night and her confession to his boyfriend.
He remembers Jasper’s hand sitting low on her back. Jealously fills his heart so fast, he doesn’t know how to stop it.
“Oh? I’m sorry, I hurt people? I’m stupid?! You’re the one who’s pathetically in love with my boyfriend!” He yells nastily before he realizes what he’s saying.
It’s like slow motion, watching her stumble back across the room, her face filling with utter and complete terror and heartbreak.
Henry instantly knows he’s gone way too far, he’s hurtled them over a cliff and it left them in pieces.
“Wh- what?” Charlotte whispers, her voice tiny.
“I- I didn’t mean that—Char, please wait, I- I didn’t-” He quickly crosses the room, trying to hold her.
Charlotte’s shaking her head though, stepping back from him.
“You fucking knew? You both knew this whole fucking time?!” Tears are marking their way down her face, and something implodes in Henry’s chest.
Before Henry can attempt to fix what he’s destroyed, cops and reporters are rushing into the scene, asking him a million questions.
The flashes are blinding him, he trips back a step in surprise at the sudden noise. He brings a hand to his eyes instinctively.
Fuck, where was Ray? What was the stupid code word again?
He can’t see Charlotte over the swarm of people crowding him, even with his height advantage.
“Kid Danger, can you tell us why The Elderly Swindler did this?” A dozen microphones are being shoved in his face.
Henry didn’t care, goddamnit. He couldn't bring himself to care about anything that wasn’t Charlotte.
He just needed to get to her and explain. So if Ray could just get the fuck in here already, he could fucking leave and go find her.
The code word finally popped into his brain. He almost cried out in relief.
“I- uh, I love cheddar so much. It's good… cheese. I love it so much, I could just go for some Cheddar right now actually!” Everyone got insanely silent, looking at him like he had lost his mind.
“Um… right. Cheddar is a good cheese… I guess.” A woman in front replied, like she wasn’t sure if that was even the right answer.
Suddenly Ray is there at his side, flashing his famous Captain Man smile, making everyone swoon at him.
As soon as Henry was sure no one was really paying attention to him, he tore out the back door.
It had started pouring rain, causing his hair to instantly flatten to his forehead. He sweeps it out of his face, mildly annoyed.
He dashed around a corner, making sure there was no one around and quickly popped a gumball. Henry transformed into his normal clothes, and he raced back down the street looking for Charlotte.
The rain is making everything so much harder to see, but he pushes forward, ignoring the cold soaking into his skin. The rain plastered his clothes to his body.
He ignores it all, having one set goal on his brain: Charlotte.
Henry finally sees her walking down the street, arms wrapped around herself, she’s shaking. He doesn’t know if it’s from the rain, or him. God, he hopes it’s from the rain and not from him.
“Char! Charlotte! Please stop,” He yells, finally reaching her.
His arms have wrapped around her waist, pulling her back gently against his body.
The smaller girl is fighting him, sobbing harshly, thrashing around in his arms.
“Let the fuck go of me Henry! Get off of me!” She sobs, trying to break out of his hold.
Henry doesn’t want to hurt her, but he can’t let her go either. He knows if he lets her go, what he broke will never be fixed. Henry can’t bear the thought of losing her.
Not like this.
“Char please,” His voice breaks.
“Y- you knew, you both fucking knew! You both lied to me!” Charlotte’s words are barely intelligible by her crying.
“P- Please, it’s not what you think,” Henry’s voice cracks above her.
His smaller best friend is sobbing, causing Henry’s heart to shatter into a million pieces.
He wants to say something to her, when he hears a voice shouting behind him.
He picks his head up to see Jasper racing towards them. Charlotte starts crying even harder at this point at the sight of him, trying to break out of Henry’s arms again. He still doesn’t let her go anywhere.
Jasper finally reached them, falling silent as he took his last steps towards them. He sees Charlotte’s heartbroken face as he gets near. It crushes his heart.
“I’m sorry!” she sobs out before he can even try to say anything.
“I- I don’t know how you know, but please, please believe me when I say you don’t have to ever worry about me. I- I’ll quit and you’ll… you’ll neverhave to s- see me again, I promise.” Tears are cascading down her face.
Tears spring up in his eyes at the very thought of never seeing her again. His heart clenched painfully in his chest, and he let out a low noise of pain.
“Char, no, don’t— pl- please, no, y- you can’t l- leave us,” Jasper choked out.
“You two know that I’m in love with you both, how can I stay here?” She screams out, finally breaking out of Henry’s arms.
He still wraps his arms around her waist again though. Pulling her to his chest, she doesn’t fight him this time, her heart too exhausted to fight anymore.
“T- The b- both of us?” Henry breathes out, not daring to look at Jasper.
Charlotte sucked in a gasp, realizing her mistake. Her hands clapped over her mouth. Jasper shakily exhales, reaching out to take her shaking hand in his trembling one.
Her dark skin is ice cold to the touch.
“C- Char… we only knew that you at the very least loved me. We- we only know because, last—last night when you were drunk you told us. I- wedidn’t know that you were in love with the both of us, I swear.” He’s caressing her hand, wanting nothing more than anything to wipe away the tears that continued to roll down her face.
She still won’t meet his eyes, a terrified look is still present resting on her face. Jasper hates that he knows it's because of him and his boyfriend.
“Did you mean it? A- Are you… in love with the both of us?” Henry asks quietly.
Charlotte closes her eyes, exhaling a watery, choked sob out while she was mentally saying goodbye to the both of them. She knows, despite everything she’s done for the last five months, is about to come crashing down.
But, she knew she had no other choice.
“…Yes,” Charlotte whispers into the rain.
Henry starts shaking behind her, holding her more tightly to his chest.
“We’ve just been hurting you this entire time haven’t we?” Henry’s disgust with himself barely concealed.
She helplessly shrugs her shoulders, not knowing what to say without stating the obvious. Charlotte finally looked Jasper in the eyes, they’re dark with pain and anger at himself for doing this to her.
“God, we’re so fucking horrible. Char, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that we did this, that we didn’t talk to you sooner about everything, and I…” Jasper stops, nervously chewing the inside of his cheek.
But he’s sick of the secrets, the unbearable tension between the three of them.
The tension that has been boiling underneath the surface since before Henry and him had even started dating each other.
The enormous amount of hurt he’s been causing them both by not just being honest with them. It’s grown to be a bit toxic and so fucking messy between them without him even realizing it.
He has to put an end to this, if that means he’s going to end up walking alone after this. The unbearable weight of sudden loneliness hits Jasper like a sack of bricks to his heart. He’s fucking terrified, but he has to do this for them all.
“I- I need to tell you both something. Haz, baby I’m sorry, I’m so fucking sorry baby. When you asked me this morning if I had— if I was in love with Charlotte,”
Charlotte’s rattled gasp stopped him, Henry’s face was a mask of an unreadable look. Jasper’s heart is racing a million miles an hour.
“I said no, I- I lied. I just didn’t know how to explain what I felt for you b- both. It was incredibly selfish of me to do that to you Haz. I do love you! I do!
I just… I just…love C- Charlotte, t- too,” Tears have started leaking out of Jasper’s eyes.
Charlotte instantly starts shaking her head, unable to believe him.
“N- no, you can’t be in love with m- me. It- it doesn’t make sense for you to l- love me,” she murmurs brokenly.
Jasper’s heart shatters into pieces even more if that’s possible.
“Charlotte,” He chokes out, unable to stop himself from bringing her into his arms. Henry lets her go without a protest.
She’s shaking her head into his shoulder, crying profusely now.
“You can’t l- love me, you can’t want m- me,” She keeps wailing through her body racking sobs.
Henry bites back a cry, surging forward, wrapping his arms around them both now. That raw unrelenting pain in her voice… he couldn’t stop his heart breaking apart at it.
The rain hasn’t stopped at all.
“When I kissed you today for the mission, Char it was like waking up from a dream. A dream that I didn’t know I was even having. My heart knew it loved you before I did. I’ve always loved you both, I just didn’t realize it until today. I’m so fucking sorry for what I said. I should have never said that. You’re not pathetic, neither are your feelings Char. We love you, we will always want you.” Henry’s crying into her shoulder.
Charlotte is gasping for air, unable to comprehend the words they were saying to her. Her heart had built walls around itself to protect it, she couldn’t let them in only to hurt her again.
“I- I can’t— I don’t believe you, y- you’re both lying to me,” She whimpers.
They both furiously shake their heads against her, clutching her tighter in their hold.
“Char, baby, no. We’re just the biggest idiots in the world. We always knew something was missing the whole time, we just didn’t realize it was you. We’re so fucking sorry for hurting you, Char… we love you so fucking much. We want you, you’re what keeps us from falling apart.” Jasper says into her ear.
He cups her face in his hands, gently titling her head up.
“Can I kiss you Char? I just— is that okay with you?” He’s not just asking Charlotte, his eyes meet Henry’s red rimmed ones.
His boyfriend nods his head forward, wordlessly giving him his permission.
Jasper looks back down at Charlotte, he knows that if she says no to him. If she says she wants them to fuck off, and leave her alone forever he would.
(It would break his heart into a thousand pieces he wasn’t sure he could fully recover from,) but he would do it.
They had both deserved it after all.
That’s why Charlotte's whispered answer almost knocked him off his feet.
“C- Can I? Are you… o- okay with that?” She’s looking up at Henry.
He lets a soft smile slip out, his eyes so fond. A smile only the two of them ever got to see.
“Of course you can, go ahead sweetheart,” he nudges her forward gently.
Charlotte takes a deep breath, still a little unsure of how they managed to get here, but if this was a dream, she didn’t want to wake up yet.
She closes her eyes as he leans forward to press his lips against hers.
It felt like time had stopped around them, she stopped hearing the rain, the cars that were rushing by. All that Charlotte could focus on was the boy kissing her at this moment.
He felt like coming home, somehow always knowing what Charlotte needed to survive and be alive.
She wraps her arms around his neck, sobbing a little in his mouth. All she had wanted, for longer than she knew, was this. It was almost perfect.
Almost.
Jasper sets her down gently, kissing her twice before he has to let her go. She hadn’t even been aware he picked her up in the first place.
Charlotte’s breathless, the rain sliding down her face. Jasper doesn’t think he’s ever seen her look more beautiful than this moment.
Jasper smiles, suddenly twirling her around so she’s in Henry’s arms.
She lets out a loud surprised laugh, her hands coming up to brace on his chest. Henry’s smiling so warmly at her, before he’s leaning down to kiss her.
This was nothing like their restaurant kiss, this was hot, heavy and full of need.
She moans, meeting him just as enthusiastically, her arms throwing themselves around his neck. His tongue is sweeping along her mouth, and she arches up into him.
Next thing she knew, Charlotte was standing in her bedroom, her boys standing in front and behind her, kissing along her neck, her chest, wherever they could reach.
“Char? Do you want this? Are you okay with this?” Jasper mumbled, his hands brushing along her stomach.
She shivers, stepping back from them. They immediately stop what they’re doing, giving her some space.
“Is this too fast? It’s absolutely fine if you don’t want to.” Henry murmurs, his dirty blonde hair sticking out in all directions.
Charlotte smiles, grabbing their hands, pulling them close.
“Not at all, I just wanted to make sure you’re both okay with this?” She glances a bit unsure between them both.
Jasper and Henry smile down at her, Jasper's hands coming up to cup her face.
“We want you Char, we love you so fucking much.” Jasper whispers, leaning in to kiss her again.
Henry murmurs the same thing to her into her ear. He’s standing behind her, his fingers pausing at her zipper on her dress.
“You’re sure?” He asks her once more, just to be completely safe.
She breaks away from Jasper, who lets out a low whine of protest.
“Yeah, yeah, I want you, I- I want you b- both,” She stumbled a bit over her words, but they were firm and clear.
Jasper impatiently takes her face back in his hands after that, Henry busying himself with her zipper. She barely even felt the dress slide off her, too focused on the warmth they were emitting.
They shuffled over to the bed, Charlotte falling on top of Henry. She huffs breathlessly, running a hand down his chest. Smiling unguarded at last at him.
He smiles up at her, reaching up to pull her back down, Jasper running a hand along her leg.
“How do you want us Char?” Henry murmurs into her neck.
She fights back a shudder, looking at them both.
“However you want me,” she smirks at him.
Jasper stifles a groan, bringing her back into his embrace. Henry works on getting the last of his clothes off. Jasper breaks away from Charlotte for a minute, to lean down and crash his lips to Henry’s.
Henry moans low in his throat, his hips involuntarily jerking up, nearly toppling Charlotte off of him. She loudly squeals, bracing herself on his chest. The boys whip away from each at nearly the same time.
“Are you okay?!” Jasper frantically asks.
“Fuck, I’m sorry! You okay?” Henry cups her face.
She laughs, light and free and they instantly relax at the sound.
“I’m fine, I’m fine. Just be careful, yeah?” The dark skinned girl nestles into Henry’s hands.
They smile, nodding their heads at her.
The desire and lust between the three of them raises again, Jasper’s hands coming behind her and unclasping her lacy bra. Charlotte throws her head back as she feels Jasper's hand cup her breasts gently in his hands.
Henry sits up, his big, warm hands running across her back.
“God, that feels so fucking good.” She moans, grinding down unknowingly on Henry.
“Shit, baby.” Henry grabs her arms, wrapping them around his neck.
Jasper smiles into her curls,
“That feels good huh Char?”
She nods helplessly against him, Jasper smiles even wider, catching Henry’s eye. He smirks at him as well.
“Wanna feel even better?” He murmurs hotly into her ear.
Charlotte finally cracks an eye open enough to whine out,
“Yes please,”
“Haz loves getting his face sat on, I’m sure he’d love you to take a ride,” Jasper’s looking directly into Henry’s eyes the entire time.
It gives Jasper the reactions he had wanted.
Charlotte chokes on a whine, her eyes nearly rolling back in her head.
“Oh shit,” Henry gasps, his grip tightening on Charlotte.
“Fuck, c- can I?” She breathlessly asks Henry.
He responds by simply lifting her up, and perching her on his shoulders.
“Fucking use me Char,” he moans, scooting her forward even more.
She’s slightly shaking as she grips the headboard above him, lowering herself enough so she wouldn’t end up squishing him.
Heat runs up her spine when she feels his hot tongue run up against her.
“Fuck,” she gasps out, nearly collapsing backwards. Jasper has her though, propping her back up, and kissing her hotly.
Spit is dripping down their chins, and it’s just so messy.
“Haz, b- baby, shit, ah! Fuck me!” She sobs, feeling his tongue plunge into her pussy over and over again.
Henry moans against her, loving this as much as she is. Jasper wasn’t kidding when he said Henry loved doing this.
Charlotte’s moaning unabashedly now, Jasper coming to latch his mouth on her breast.
“I- ah! Fuck, yesyesyes.” She sobs, tears gathering in the corners of her eyes at the pure pleasure she was feeling.
Henry smirks before latching his mouth on her clit, and sucks hard. Charlotte screams, her legs giving out and nearly crushes Henry.
He doesn’t stop, her extra weight actually being a comfort to him, more than anything else. He moans happily, his hands anchored on her thighs, not letting her move an inch.
“J- Jasp, baby, c’mere. Wanna touch you,” Charlotte keens, reaching for her other boy.
She’s shaking but still manages to gather him close. Charlotte’s hands run a mindless destination across his body, Jasper still moans, and moves further into her touches.
Charlotte grabs his hand, leading it up to her throat.
“O-oh god,” Jasper stutters, his eyes nearly rolling back in his head.
He tightens his grip just slightly, pulling her head forward and plunging his tongue into her mouth.
Henry bobs his head underneath her, feeling her shake violently under his hands. He knows she’s close. He leans back just slightly, before crooking a thin finger into her without warning.
Charlotte wrenches herself away from her best friend, a silent scream ripping out of her chest. Jasper tightens his grasp a bit more, cutting her breathing off just enough to send tingles down her spine. She’s thrashing wildly, sobbing with pleasure as she comes.
She’s pretty sure she blacked out for a minute, because when she came to, Charlotte's lying on Henry’s chest. Jasper is curled into her back.
“Are you okay sweetheart?” Henry lightly trails kisses across her forehead.
Jasper’s hands brush against her stomach, his lips marking paths along her back.
“How are you feeling love?” Jasper murmurs.
“I’m okay, I’m feeling fine.” Charlotte whispers, her voice catching a bit.
Of course they both caught it immediately.
“Baby, talk to us… please?” Henry cups her face, titling it towards him.
“I…” Ridiculously enough, she feels tears start gathering in her eyes.
“It’s okay, take your time. We’re here, not going anywhere.” Jasper murmurs into her neck.
“I- it’s just, I never thought that I would get… t- this. Y- you both, I- I mean. It feels like a d- dream,” Charlotte mumbles, ducking her face further into his chest.
“Hey,” Henry reaches over for Jasper, grabbing his arm and draping it over him and Charlotte.
Jasper gently strokes the back of Henry’s head, soothing him instantly.
He then turns his attention back to Charlotte, titling her head up with his fingertips.
“It might’ve taken us a stupid long time to get here, but believe me. Believe us when we tell you, we love you. We want you, you keep us alive. You keep us safe, even if we don’t always listen.” He pauses at her small laugh, his thumb gliding over her cheek.
“We can’t do any of this without you, never doubt that. I love you so fucking much Charlotte.” Henry brings her in for a soft kiss, sealing his words. His vow.
Jasper stays close, tangling his legs with Charlotte’s.
When they pull away from each other, Jasper gently turns her head to his.
“You’ve always been with us, even when we didn’t know it, you complete us. We’d never gotten this far without you, I love you so much Char. Baby, I never want to imagine a world without you, never doubt that,” Jasper kisses her forehead first, then he connects their lips together softly.
Henry’s watch that he wasn’t even still aware he was wearing starts beeping shrilly, ruining their moment of peace.
Charlotte and Jasper break away from each other to peer over at him.
“Aren’t you… going to get that?” Charlotte hesitantly murmured.
Henry shakes his head,
“Right now, I’ve got much more important things on my mind than Ray,”
Both their eyes widened in surprise, mouths dropped open. Henry rolls his eyes fondly at them, clicking his watch off and dropping it to the floor.
Charlotte’s mouth is still ajar slightly, so Henry gently shuts it.
“You’re both so much more important to me than him, than my job. He can be alone for a day,” He gathers both of them close.
Charlotte shifts slightly, wincing a smidge.
“Um, you’re both still hard, d- did you want me to do something? I mean, I’m happy to!”
She blabbering and it’s not making much sense, but they still understand her. As they always did.
“Nah, we’re fine right now, just wanna focus on you. Unless you’re uncomfortable, then we can leav-” Jasper starts to slide away.
“No!” Charlotte blurts out, grabbing for him, “No, I- I want you both to stay with me, please.”
Henry tangles his legs with hers, reaching across to caress Jasper’s cheek.
“I love you,” he whispers to both of them, a voice only they ever got to hear.
“Love you so much,” Jasper murmurs back.
“I- I love you both so much. You were the first to accept me without question. Just let me join your little friend group when we were kids. I never thought I’d be lucky enough to have you both. I love you both so, so much.” It doesn’t seem like it was enough of an explanation to them.
How do you explain to someone that you love them so much, they’ve become a part of you? A part that you just can’t live without? That they are a piece of your soul?
But once again, she didn’t have to put it into words. They understood her perfectly, their kisses gave her the same answer back.
Henry and Jasper are her warmth, her soul, and she couldn’t wait to see what their future held together.
