Another picture of the EnderDragon-induced carnage. #minecraft #creativeserver #mutecity
So, I kinda summoned an EnderDragon in the middle of 'Olympic Stadium' on my Creative server tonight. TIL that EnderDragons *destroy* blocks! #minecraft #creativeserver #oops #gladihavebackups

New Minecraft Render!
This image features Lake Hylia in Mute City at dusk on the Creative server. In the foreground is it's signature, Triforce Mountain (sadly without it's beam of light reaching skyward; a limitation of the rendering software), and the recently-added "rainbow walkway", hot-air balloon and airship, plus some recently-added pixel art (Tanooki Mario, the Rocket Ship from SMB2, and Pharaoh Man in the distance).
This is also the first image where three different areas of the server can be seen at once. In the distance to the left is our joint underwater/floating city, Skyloft-Atlantis, which appears to be much closer to Mute City than the trip to actually get there would suggest. In the distance to the right (near Pharaoh Man) is the beginning of Gerudo.
Now that I'm starting to get the hang of Chunky, I'm coming up with all kinds of ideas for renders. But this image alone took almost 9 hours and 3100 passes to produce (admittedly with limited processing resources; I still need to work on this computer while it renders), so I'm hoping to produce one every day or every few days.

I played around with Chunky (a Minecraft rendering software) for a bit today and put my CPU cycles towards generating this isometric render of 'Mute City' on our Creative server.
In the foreground is our newest project; the almost-complete "Invader Field" Baseball stadium on the "East" side of the city (which is quickly becoming our 'Stadium District').
Now that I know how to use Chunky, I expect to start posting renders of the Creative Server regularly, instead of crappy screengrabs from my barely-runs-the-damn-game-faster-than-12fps-on-tiny-render-distance laptop. We've put a tonne of work into this server over the last 3 years, and I want to show it off in all it's glory with renders; not with half-assed screengrabs.
Sooooo, we've been busy on the creative server lately.
Notably, "Invader Field" Baseball Stadium (near the top of the image), and a Death Star (near the bottom of the image; actually gets cut off slightly).
Proper pictures of both coming soon(-ish).
Lately, I've been inspired to continue adding onto one of the nearby naturally-occurring towns on the Creative server; Gerudo.
All of the sudden, this boring, empty village is becoming a bit of a desert paradise!
I even upgraded the rail station a little. Before, you would disembark underground and have to walk an underground coridor just to get to the "entrance" to the town. Now, you can optionally enter via a "rail terminal" (the building with the red roof). I envision a major rebuild of the rail station in the future as the town expands.
Recently, we turned the surface of Olympic Stadium into an ice surface complete with hockey lines, ice (duh), and installed benches and penalty boxes. No dressing rooms... yet. :)
Original plans were to build a "Jumbotron" hanging from the middle of the roof and using a mod to display a webpage on it. Haven't gotten that far yet.
Second set of construction shots of "Olympic Stadium" in Mute City on the Creative server.
The Cauldron(s) were completed on the day of the Sochi Closing Ceremony, but I wanted them lit! So, we're treating the cauldron as an "anti-cauldron"; when the Olympic games are not being held IRL, we'll leave our cauldron lit, and when the Olympics are on, we'll extinguish ours. Makes sense, right? :S

First batch of the long-awaited construction shots of "Olympic Stadium" in Mute City on the Creative server.
The stadium was constructed during the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, which probably explains the color scheme used. :/
A quick look at what we’ve been working on lately on our Minecraft Creative server in recent months, including a peek at “Olympic Stadium”.
An overhead view of "Mute City" on our Minecraft Creative server.
I dabbled with a map renderer tonight and came across this overhead view of our largest (and oldest) city, current as of yesterday.
In the top-right corner you can see most of "Olympic Stadium", constructed back in February; it's the big blue thing with the wonky stripe through the middle. I haven't posted pics of the stadium here yet. I should get on that sometime soon. :)
In the upper-left corner, in the middle of a lake, is 'The Tube'; our very first construction project.
In the lower-left corner you can see half of the natural village we've named Gerudo (after Gerudo Valley from Ocarina of Time).
Came across this screenshot from inside the Pyramid we constructed in the town of Gerudo on the Creative Server.
I realized that I have a whole bunch of screenshots from projects we've worked on in recent months that I haven't posted to the blog. I want to post our progress with a lot more regularity because we're building some pretty cool stuff over on 'Minekube Creative' (including a Stadium!).
Watch for those in the coming days and weeks.
New Years fireworks on our Creative server last night.
Happy New Year!

Our city, Skyloft-Atlantis is COMPLETE!
Barring a few additions to existing structures, there is nowhere else to build on this artificial floating city. Nor is there anywhere to build below it, in the underwater component of the city.
There is a level we're beginning to develop underneath the underwater area of the city, but I'm not too concerned about continuing it's development at this point. Maybe one day.
For a "little" project we started back in March, it's turned into almost a solid year of work. But, I'm pretty pleased with the results.
Onto the next build!
