I was playing Overwatch tonight, as I usually do every night.
Tonight I played a match with a couple young friends; they were typical kids, joking around and poking fun at each other in voice chat. It was nice to hear. We won that game.
The next match, this guy gets on voice chat and just starts spewing venom like he’s been personally wronged by other players in the match (apparently this dick played with them the previous match).
He started talking shit about the “silver frames” on the team (of which I was one of two; the other guy was the guy this dick was chirping about). He was inactive for most of the match, deciding to instead look at this other guy’s profile, note how many hours he’s played, and then starts shitting on him for “wasting” all that time on a game that he “sucks at”.
Like... why, dude?
I mean, I get hating the world and wanting to shit on people, but cummon dude, grow up. Nobody wants to hear that shit when they’re trying to have fun.
But that’s just the Internet isn’t it? An invisible void into which people believe they can spew their venom without repercussions or effect. No respect for anybody else in a public setting; acting like spoiled fucking children throwing a temper-tantrum because they didn’t get their way. It’s pathetic.
Anyways, we lost that game. Afterwards I promptly reported him, as I’m sure a few others did too.

How to Blow Away the Blahs
1. Try and remove a few things from your schedule so you have more time to relax and chill.
2. Write down your feelings on a piece of paper, then rip it into pieces or burn the bit of paper.
3. Express how you feel in a creative way such as painting a picture or writing a song.
4. Listen to your favorite music – but make sure it’s something that helps you to relax. Listening to sad songs can have the opposite effect.
5. Cut back on junk food, stimulants and alcohol.
6. Go easy on yourself. Don’t be harsh and unforgiving. Instead, notice small improvements and think of things to praise.
7. Make an effort with your appearance – as looking good can really change the way we feel.
8. Actively search out things to make you smile – see a funny movie or talk to a friend who is almost guaranteed to make you laugh or smile.
9. Do something special, and treat yourself well. For example, go out for a meal, book some tickets for a show, arrange to do something with friends or go and splash out on new clothes.
10. Be generous to others - share your money or your time, pay others compliments or try to make them smile!

“Memories are what warm you up from the inside. But they’re also what tear you apart.”
— Haruki Murakami
Holy crap, this.
Honestly shout out to people with anxiety and panic disorders, y'all don’t get enough recognition for your hard work. Pushing through your body’s instinct to fight/flee/freeze at the slightest worry is a whole new level of strength. You’re battling almost everyday against a fast-acting animalistic response that humans have been experiencing since the dawn of time, a response that is literally designed to take full control of your actions away from you. That takes so much courage and perseverance. You’re strong as fuck.
Hugging is a proven way to manage stress - Apart from lessening our anxiety, hugging also makes us more sociable and this is good for the management and prevention of emotional disorders ➡ https://www.ahealthblog.com/1ok6
What They Don’t Tell You
•Even after you cut someone toxic/abusive out of your life, they drain you
•They get to walk away and pretend like it didn’t happen, while you’re left to pick up the pieces
•Sometimes they’ll play victim, try to garner all the sympathy and attention even though you know they have no right
•Sometimes they’ll take a fake high road, accuse you of lying and say they did nothing wrong, that you hurt them, and pretend that they’re better
•Some won’t take no for an answer
•They’ll do anything to put the blame on you. To make you seem like the villain or the monster
•Most will hurt someone again. And the hardest part is accepting that it won’t be your fault
•You’ll feel a void in your life where they were. You might miss them. That’s normal.
•You have to relearn so many things. What actual healthy love/friendships/relationships are
•You need to learn to trust again, to see the world as more then its darkness
•You’ll think you’re faking it sometimes. Even if others believe you, the what if will always creep up
•You need support. No one can do this alone
•Healing isn’t linear. It has its ups and its downs. Some vary day to day
•Just because you have a bad day doesn’t mean you’re regressing
•Everyone heals differently, but there will always be a scar
•Somethings may never be the same for you, somethings will trigger you. And that’s ok
•Nothing you did caused this. You didn’t deserve it. You didn’t do anything. THEY chose to hurt YOU.
•Some abusers might have loved you, and it’s hard to accept that. Remember that this is toxic, unhealthy love
•You don’t have to forgive them. But you also don’t have to never forgive. Whatever helps you heal is what you need to do
•You may lose more people then just the one. Whether it’s people who support them, won’t support you, people you now see differently, etc. That’s ok
•You get to choose whose in your life
