“Care to tell me why you came back to Cairo? I assume it’s related to some job or getting away from the Foundation’s eyes. They have taken all they needed from the mansion, so there’s no reason for them to be here...”

If this letter reached you, know that I have passed away. Take your time to take in this information before reading further. I am not in pain anymore, nor suffering, nor do I have the slimmest chance to appear behind you as in a miracle of sorts. I am gone. No longer here. Gambled my life away.
Now that this is out of the way, I can tell you why I would take the time to write you anything in case this happened. Perhaps, it is because of something close to ‘guilt’, like I owe some sort of post-mortem explanation of my actions in life. Perhaps it is something deeper moving me, the fear that my memories of you will vanish and yours might not reflect truly what I believe we shared. Perhaps, both are good reasons.
Either of us believed we would live too long, being closer to death than most humans. But know, among anger and fear, reconciliation and distance, I don’t regret anything. I could not have been a better person, that’s beyond me, and I sure you know so. However, it was all worth it, if we met even under such strange conditions. When you have this letter in your possession, I will certainly not be around for a friendly chat or to answer any doubts regarding it, so I’ll make it short.
You were always a valuable friend, valuable enough that I never truly wanted to keep you as a doll among my collection. Hopefully, you understood that even though I was distant, I cared for you deeply. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to write that I care about somebody else like this, but if I never have chosen to be sincere in life, perhaps I can share my thoughts truly after I’m gone.

Honestly, a nap on the couch with his lover was just as ideal as a movie. Any excuse to be close, relaxed with each others touch. Though, asking him, he probably couldn’t say what the plot of the movie they just watched was, his priorities drifting somewhat like Terence’.
“So, strong man, are you up to treating me to a midnight snack, or are you sleepy?”
He shifts slightly, sliding along to the arm of the couch, his lap offered. After all, if Terry did pass out, having him already in his arms did make him easier to carry to bed afterwards. Along with his invite, he cants his head to the side, taking a moment to simply look over his partner. Quiet moments like this are what he truly enjoyed. He didn’t need constant excitement, he thinks he’s had enough of that to last a lifetime.
“..? Oh-!” It took him a silent moment of confusion before the old man understood the question. Was he really that tired? Terence eventually grinned, keeping the silence as looked back at his lover, enjoying the moment on his own therms. “I suppose it would be unfair if I didn’t keep my promises, huh?”
Moving his head down, he takes off his collar, revealing the scar it hid. He scoots closet, wrapping both arms around Ice’s neck. He knew well what followed and was strangely used to it by now.

Following the ex-butler, Rubber looked around the street. Not only was it rebuilt after the grand fight where Lord Dio met his end but was full of people acting like as if nothing happen in these pass few months.

Terence remained quiet at the mention of Dio, his face twisting into a worried glance away for a moment. He was not going to share what he felt or thought about what happened... At least not yet.
“You and I know well what Jotaro is capable of. It took him a while, but Daniel is doing fine now, back to gambling for souls... It was good though, taking care of him, even if we might fight from time to time. But I suppose all brothers do.”
After walking silently for a while the gamer stopped, having arrived at the hotel he was staying at while visiting Cairo. “Care to spend some time at the bar? It’s usually quieter than the streets, I promise. Drinks are on me, of course.”
The sound of the man voice had caught attention of the hybrid but it had also been the feeling of no longer having the sun beating down onto the poor creature who had gotten stuck in the garden, but they could remember how they got here but for now it had seemed they might of been saved.

... Did this flower just meow at him? The butler blinked a few times, trying understand what this thing truly was. Whatever it was however, it seemed to be more comfortable now under the shade.
Terence moved a hand closer to the plant, though not daring to touch it. He waited for a reaction, any kind of sign that it recognized his presence as well. Almost like one would do with a cat.
