it came along with being the youngest, the constant worrying from the older members that is. so the smile thatâs somewhat forced resting at lilyâs lips is more for the older woman than an actual expression of the emotions sheâs feeling right now. sadness, fear, nervousness, anger, sheâs feeling it all. however, lilyâs silently praying that the other buys her little act. but truthfully, sheâs starting to feel it, the soreness in her neck and back. âunnie, youâre being dramatic. it was just a little fender bender. i wasnât close to death at all.â a low, short chuckle escapes and she makes her way to the older woman whoâs currenlty in the kitchen.
it definitely could have been worse, and sheâs grateful that it wasnât. if so, she probably wouldnât have been able to opt out of going to the hospital to get checked out. due to her fear of them, sheâd decided that a little ibuprofen would be all she needed. lily was more upset about her baby, her beloved vehicle, than anything else, but food would definitely brighten her mood. âis it almost ready? unnie, iâm starving!â she says, the tone of her voice a little higher than usual as her arms come up to snake around sukjaâs waist, thereâs a small pout at her lips as she rests her head on the femaleâs shoulder.
Even for Sujka, sheâs overreacting. But it isnât like it was for no reason, either. From the moment she heard of the accident her member was in, no matter how minor it was reported to be, she was launched into a panic. The older womanâs mind was instantaneously filled with flashbacks from 2012-- from when their fourth member left them, and the reasoning behind it. The miscarriage that resulted from what? A car accident. So even if it was minor as she was reassured many a time, and that hardly a hair was messed up on the maknaeâs head, Sukja canât help it when tears well up in her eyes as she fusses over her, the food she had been preparing before the other arrived having been momentarily forgotten.
â And you swear youâre okay? Lily-yah, donât lie to me. â her voice is trembling slightly, and her hands along with it as she reaches up to gently cup the youngerâs face between them, turning it carefully to the side as if she were assessing the damage that wasnât there. The only reason she dares to pull away is the loud sizzling of the meat sheâd been grilling, a sure sign that should she not flip it over soon it would most likely burn. Lilyâs presence does a little to quell her nerves, though that worry is still there. She flips the meat over as she relaxes into the otherâs hold, heaving a soft sigh before she spoke. â Itâll take a few more minutes. But tell me, did you see a doctor or anything? Anyone at all? Did you get a pass to come home even from a paramedic or something? Donât make me go out and get a medical degree just so I can make sure youâre okay and take care of you, because I will. â
