I just don't understand what so hard to understand about the sentence "I put a lot of effort into this and because I care about you I want to share it with you."
How do I say that and have her hear "please tell me how much my drawing sucks and look at me like I just shoved roadkill into your arms"
And why is it that when it's a 10 second doodle of her favorite Servamp character, she's like "omg it's so cute you're the best artist ever!"
But when it's a drawing I spent 45 minutes on, fully shaded, very complex and stretching my skill level I get "it looks like a snake on a circle where's the fucking hand? It looks bad." With a disgusted look.
Like what, you like my art when it's a doodle of a tiny vampire in a top hat but when I have a fully shaded pencil drawing of a snake wrapped around a hand I'm a failure? From miss "oh I can't even draw a stick figure I'm so bad at art!!!" Yeah no.
Aaaand now the shift high has worn off and I remember why I forced myself to stop thinking about this source. I feel worthless and unloved again!!!

Ayyy here's my face with the cute Snapchat thing + some shitty painted purple nails and my ring. If y'all are still sleeping on Bill, he posted a song called Outside recently and it's actually like... my song of the year. It's so good. It's so weird but so good. Also at my roommates insistence I finally watched what some consider to be the best anime ever and what I consider to be the work and proof of time travel because NOTHING THIS GOOD COULD HAVE BEEN MADE BEFORE 2016 ITS NOT POSSIBLE! MORALS LIKE THIS DIDNT EXIST THEN! And by good I mean morally sound. Not like quality of animation or voice acting, I'm just talking about the fact that aside from a few outdated terms it's aged really well and really just has a nice feeling to it??? It's a wonderfully crafted satirical criticism of the industry with a side of refreshing "that's just how it is" take on a lot of things other shows would make into jokes. It's like... the things that are usually considered okay (but aren't) are shown comically, like "look at these idiots they're actually falling for it!" While things that are just normal (at least in our Tumblr bubble) are just that, normal. It's addressed, usually a minor comical moment where the other characters don't quite know what to do, and then everyone's just like "oh okay. That's a thing now I guess." It's not glossed over, but it's not a huge deal. Things just Are, and I like that. Idk I'm not saying what it is because I'm questioning someone from it and I don't want anyone jumping the gun because it's super popular...
