🍂 a stray line — tiny worlds review
i went into a stray line expecting to enjoy it
i did not expect to finish the demo feeling genuinely honored that i got to play it
the gameplay was fun, the mechanics were interesting, and the art absolutely BLEW ME AWAY every area felt so thoughtfully crafted and the visual direction gives the world such a distinct identity
but what really got me was the emotional investment
even within the demo, i found myself becoming genuinely invested in the characters and wanting to understand more about their world and their relationships there were moments where i wasn't just thinking "oh, that's cool" i was sitting there thinking "oh no i CARE about these people"
and THAT is what makes me so excited for the full game
the father character??? ATLASSSSS
AND HIS FRIEND???? (mr. someone im so bad with names)
@sprouthaven, i need you to understand that you cannot simply introduce characters like that and expect me to behave normally 😭
the character designs are incredible, the environments are gorgeous, and the entire artistic direction is something i could genuinely gush about for ages
if you've been curious about a stray line, please go play the demo and if you enjoy it, consider checking out the kickstarter and supporting the team this is exactly the kind of indie project i want to see get the attention it deserves
i went in looking for another tiny worlds game to discover
i came out emotionally attached and yelling about the art
10/10 i cannot wait to see where this goes 🍂✨
(seriously?? this demo should honestly not be free, that was nearly an entire game in itself, and genuinely was so amazing it's going to be a game that sticks with me)
