it was after lunch and you insisted your boyfriend to lounge with you just for a little bit, so that he could take a small break before resuming with his chores. you pat the spot next to you on the sofa but he only sat on the floor instead, claiming he’s too heavy for the already worn out couch.

you start working on his matted hair, untying the clump of knots without meaning to hurt him with how harshly you are threading through his woven locks. he would grunt and flinch every now and then, when you’d accidentally pull harder through the knots. but other than that, he was well-behaved. after untangling his hair, you begin to part it down the middle, dividing it into two even sections.

that is when he starts questioning what you are doing right now. by the sound of you humming so happily, he’s certain you’re enjoying this. you begin tying a piece of pink ribbon thread on the first part and doing the same to the other.

after a few adjustments and securing his hair tightly, you’re ready to show him how adorable he is. “there!” you beam eagerly, “here! have a look, hun. you look adorable!” you hand him your hand mirror and gushed over how cute he is.
