I made headcanon designs of Sandrine and Camille because the author told me he may not make official art of them, which is insane because how am I supposed to draw gay content of them????

Left Rivers is based on my character Left by the Waterwoman from a D&D campaign the author and I were in together. Imagine my surprise when he showed us the official art of Left... and he was a femboy?! Actual whiplash, but I love the author's choice on creative liberty regardless <33

I oftentimes scroll through the comments of Mimicmage because I enjoy seeing what people have to say about the work. Last December, I decided to comb through all of the comments like usual with the addition of categorising them. Comments from the author weren't taken into consideration during this.

Most original comments were made on chapter 6, which was a pivotal chapter, and in chapters that displayed magic usage. Likewise, these chapters also had more discussions between commenters.

As a note for this graph and the rest, one user's original comments were made using the "Edit Suggestions" feature of Royal Road, similar to the quote and comment function on Wattpad.

I categorised the comments into what the intentions behind them were. A lot of them were discussing certain aspects of the story, but as it progressed, there was more and more show of appreciation towards it. Likewise, theororising on the magic system and the random bits of info on the world grew as more was revealed.

This graph shows the frequency at which users commented as well as what their intentions were. Some comments had more than one intention, and those are stacked together in this graph.

Visualised what I thought the main Artemest cast looks like! Photobashed this bad boy for 6-7 hours and finished it before the author showed us the first official character designs of the cast!

My feelings on the the protagonists of Mimicmage vs A Comedy at Sea

Because I'm close to the author, I got to see the gradual design reveals of the Hero's Party. I was pretty surprised by the first few, so I thought it would be fun to visualise how I imagined the party members before he revealed all of them!

God knows it gave me whiplash to know that Left was a femboy and that Roald was a 17yo.
