After All This Time (Rayman x Reader)

(Y/N) and Rayman were childhood friends who were practically glued to the hip and did everything together along with their friend Globox. Rayman and (Y/N) had developed feelings for each other, but neither had the courage to express said feelings. Unfortunately, (Y/N) had to move away since their family was in great danger. Since then, (Y/N) vowed to themself that they would find a way to reunite with their limbless friend once again.

(Y/N) walked around, taking in the sights around them. The Lums are just flying around, singing a cheerful tune. Then, they spotted a familiar silhouette in the distance. They got closer. Oh my Polokus. Is that...?

"RAYMAN?!"

Rayman turned his head. "(Y/N)?! Is that really you?!"

"Yeah, it's me! I can't believe it! After all this time, I finally found you again!"

Rayman grinned and gave them a big hug. "I missed you so much. You have no idea."

(Y/N) blushed and hugged back. "I missed you too."

Rayman smirked. "Ya know, now that we're together again, I can finally do something that I've been wanting to do for the longest time."

Before (Y/N) could open their mouth to ask, Rayman leaned in and pressed a soft, loving kiss to their lips. (Y/N) froze at first, then melted into the kiss and returned it, pouring in just as much affection.

"Wow..." (Y/N) said as they pulled away. "I... I had no idea you felt the same way..."

Rayman laughed a bit. "Oh, thank Polokus! And here I was afraid you'd reject me or slap the shit out of me or something."

(Y/N) chuckled and shook their head. "I've wanted to tell you for a long time, but I never had the courage. So... thank you."

Rayman smiled softly and pulled them into a hug. "Can I tell you something?"

(Y/N) looked at him. "Sure, what's up?"

Rayman nuzzled them and kissed their cheek. "I love you."
