“I’ll go do that later, just one more thing,  where is this list? I’m sorry, I swear I’m not an idiot, but I’ve been homeschooled nearly all my life. I’m trying to get used to the whole thing still.” She had her constant classes from a young age, but except of her dancing lessons it was always one on one. “If you wanna go deep watch a psychological thriller. The scares are much more effective than jump scares are.”

“Oh, uh.. It’s like on the bulletin board right outside the student life room,” he told her with a smile. “And there should be a couple at the theater one, too. We have a lot of overlapping clubs,” he explained to the new girl. “What? No, don’t worry about it! Please don’t apologize. There’s nothing to be sorry for, plus every school is different and this one is huge and definitely confusing at first,” he assured Emilie with a smile. “I only know the ins and outs because I’ve been attending for years, but the new building is definitely confusing to me too,” he added. “Exactly! Jump scares are a cheap cop out. Psychological thrillers are where the real horror is at.” 

“That sounds like fun! Am I able to bring a few friends from the college photography class I’m taking or will it strictly be only Foxcroft students? Personally, I’m good with anything as long as it’s close captioned. Maybe make a poll, list off genres along with a couple movie options from each genre that are a wide variety of options, but also make sure to have a fill-in box so that people can write down any movies they’d be interested in seeing. It could be online or you can make a couple of sheets and have the professors hand out the sheets during class and then you, Heidi, or anyone else from the club can collect them during lunch or free period or something- but, I think doing the poll online would be the easier choice.”

Milo smiled and nodded at that. “No, yeah! You can totally bring friends! It’ll be on campus, but it won’t be like strictly Foxcroft. It will be after hours, though, so I might have to do some talking with Paytas to get us some special passes for it. But it shouldn’t be a problem!” he explained with a smile and a nod. “Oh, of course! We always make sure that we have close captioning as well as audio description wireless headphones to pass out,” he assured Jamie. “Well yeah, that’s what I intended on doing. I was just trying to bounce it off of other people to see if I should go through with all that trouble, y’know?” he said and shrugged his shoulders. 

“I will definitely check your club out. It sounds interesting. You said you were vice president, correct? Do I need to talk to the president of your club before I come check it out?” She brushed over him asking about her assistant, hoping he’d let it go. “Oh yeah, I don’t like when people take them too seriously. It’s not that deep.”

“Yeah? I hope so! Yup, I’m the VP,” he told her with a nod and friendly smile. “Oh, no. You can talk to either of us, but you don’t have to talk to us first to come and check it out, just sign into the list, and that’s it!” he explained. He didn’t say anything when the girl brushed off the question about her assistant, figuring it was just a no big deal topic. “Exactly! Like, I love the supernatural and stuff, but it’s really not that deep with horror movie, they’re supposed to be campy and fun scares, rather than all deep and cheap jump scares.” 

“Hmmm… I may check it out. I’m not sure how much time I’ll have and if I can fit it in, but I’ll ask my assistant later she knows more about my schedule than I do. Oh, j’adore horror movies. I find them very funny.” 

“Yeah? Well, we look forward to it! I hope you join us, we can always use more film enthusiasts. Your assistant? Oh wow, yeah. Well it’s pretty relaxed, so you don’t have to stress about it or anything. Yeah? Well, that’s another vote for horror night! Same, I enjoy them and find them funny too. Especially when some of them try to take themselves too seriously.” 

“Dude, that would be the best.” Hayden said with some emphatic nodding. “What kind of movies are you thinking?”

“Right? Yeah, I’ve been talking to Heidi about it and think it’d be cool!” Milo replied with a smile and was happy the other was excited about it too. “Well, I was thinking the Back To The Future movies, but I think Heidi wanted more horror.” 

“My opinion is that you’re a little bitch. Unless it’s a feature film marathon about why you’re an ass and a half then I want no part.”

“Jackson... I- I respect your opinion and you’re completely justified in thinking that after what happened and what I said... But, I really am sorry... I didn’t mean it, and I shouldn’t have said it.” 

“You have a film club here? That’s amazing. I think it sounds like a fun idea. Do you have a date picked out yet? And movies?”

“We do! I’m currently the vice president. It is! If you’re interested, you could sign up and see if it’s something you like? We mostly watch stuff and sometimes record our own little sketches. Maybe this weekend? And it’ll either be the Back To The Future movies, or a horror night.”

“Hey, Fletcher.... So, do you have thoughts on the marathon night?” 

“Oh yeah, I know.” she said, eyes squinting and nodding intently as she recalled all the times he made her want to throw herself or him into traffic. Karma saw Milo’s expression change and quickly squeezed his hand, “Hey, I’m sorry for bringing it up. I just wanted to know where you were at with that.” Karma wanted to point out that things with Jackson would always be weird because he’s an idiot and makes everything weird, but she bit her tongue. “You’re a good brother… You okay though?” she asked, stroking his hand with her thumb for assurance, “Honestly at this point I’d just suggest you dressing up as your brother and making up with his dad for him. You’re a lot better at the whole apology thing.” Of course she was joking, but with how clueless the other men in Milo’s family were, it’d probably work. The blonde snorted before popping her own chocolate into her mouth, “I concur, but don’t ever let your mother hear that. Elizabeth would be heartbroken to think her baby boy prefers kisses from someone else.”

Milo chuckled lightly at the way Karma agreed with him, nodding along with her. “You’d know better than me, yeah,” he pointed out, since he hadn’t had to deal with Thomas as much as the cheerleader had to. “No, please don’t be sorry,” he said quickly and shook his head at her words, reaching out to place his hand over hers. “You’re like... The only person I can talk to about this, who I feel comfortable with talking to about this,” he told her quietly. He chuckled humorlessly when she told him he was a good brother and shook his head, ducking his head a little. “You’re just saying that because we’re friends,” he replied, smiling at her lightly. “Yeah, I’m alright. It’s just... A lot to process still, y’know?” he said, shrugging his shoulders and turning his hand over to hold Karma’s in his own. “I mean a few months ago, I didn’t have a brother and thought my father was someone else, now things are completely different,” he said, frowning lightly. “I’m just trying to work through it,” he hummed quietly. His brows went up slightly at her words and laughed at her words. “You really think I can pull off being Jackson?” he asked, letting out a small chuckle. He couldn’t help but smile even as the girl snorted at what he had said. Milo laughed and shook his head, licking his lips lightly as a slight blush rose up onto his cheeks. “I think she’ll be okay. I mean, can anyone really blame me?” he asked playfully and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. 

“Who are we hiding from?” Aurora asked softly. She had been working on yet another spread for the year book when a familiar face grabbed her by the arm and pulled her down below the desk she was working at. “Did you piss someone off and are using me as a shield now? I’ll have you know, I’m pretty awful at being a shield. Trust me, my brothers have tried many times during their nerf fights.“

Milo took a moment to catch his breath as he hid behind the desk with the girl before finally looking at her when she asked a question. “Oh,” he said, realizing that the girl wasn’t Karma like he had thought, but actually Rory. “Uh, Derek,” he admitted to her quietly, leaning up and peeking over the desk before ducking back down. “He thought I was Jackson again and was coming after me, and I never have the courage to tell him I’m not him and usually run,” he explained sheepishly. 

She grinned, scrunching up her nose like Milo and laughing, “You look like you smelled something horrible every time you hear his name.” Karma got quiet for a second before turning back to him, “Hey, so speaking of your family I was wondering… have you thought about meeting your dad yet?” It was probably a really touchy subject, but she felt like it needed to be addressed at some point, “I know everything has been crazy, but I wanted to know how you were feeling about everything, you know?” When Milo complied by shutting his eyes, she snorted, “I got you a kiss, so pucker up, Snilo.” The blonde placed an unwrapped Hershey kiss between his lips and chuckled, “Merry Christmas!”

He laughed at that and shrugged his shoulders lightly. “I don’t know, it’s Thomas, you know,” he replied with a laugh. “He’s just... Not my favorite person, I guess,” he said and shook his head. “My dad?” he asked, frowning lightly at her words. “I don’t know... I mean, have I thought about it? I’ve thought about it for years,” he admitted to her. “But it’s just... Different, and with how things are between him and Jackson, y’know? I don’t want to step on that or make things weird with Jackson,” he told her. “Especially after that fight we had a while back...” he said with a frown, shaking his head lightly. “I just don’t think right now is the best time,” he explained to Karma, since she was really the only person he thought he could talk to about this. He laughed at that and parted his lips when she pressed the little piece of chocolate to it, accepting it and eating it. “Mm, you always give the best kisses, Snarma,” he replied with a laugh and a smile, leaning in to kiss her cheek. “Merry Christmas, Snarm.” 

The girl laughed as the boy stuttered through his words, she pulled a t-shirt out of her locker and put it on. “You can look now,” she stated. “You’d think you’ve never seen a girl partly naked before.” she laughed. 

Milo lowered his hand and smiled at Amelia sheepishly. “Sorry,” he said again, laughing nervously and rubbing the back of his neck. “What? No, I mean yes. I mean no, I have seen a girl naked before,” he told her, cheeks still flushed pink and licking his lips  nervously. “It’s just, I didn’t want to upset you and I’m thoroughly embarrassed myself,” he told her with a laugh. 

“Yeah, it’s like, who the hell am I leading on anyway? I blue ballsed Thomas like once and that’s the extend of my trickery.” she said, putting her phone away. “Hmm… well considering that at the cabin your mom might make you chop firewood, I think I have have to come. Ya know, to make sure you use proper chopping technique and don’t hurt yourself.” Karma smiled, poking his sides. “Oh, speaking of Winter break and Christmasy things, I got you an early present.” she grinned, “You gotta close your eyes though.”

“No one, you aren’t leading anyone on!” Milo replied and shook his head. “It’s just people trying to stir trouble like they always do, they don’t know what they’re talking about,” he assured her. “And Thomas deserved it, too,” he said, nose scrunched up at the thought of the tall jock. He didn’t very much like him, pretty much terrified of him and his boyfriend. He laughed at the girl’s response and nodded. “Yeah, I’d really appreciate the help, too,” he assured Karma with a smile. “What? Snarm, you didn’t have to get me anything!” he told her, shaking his head, but did as he was told and closed his eyes, smiling like a goof.
